Rosen: 'I Apologize to Ann Romney'
Big Government ^ | 04-12-12 | Ben Shapiro

Posted on 04/12/2012 11:00:21 AM PDT by Lazlo in PA

Amid a massive backlash from the American public and a stampeding retreat from her supporters, Democratic National Committee advisor Hilary Rosen backtracked from her words about Ann Romney last night on CNN, stating a few moments ago, “As a pundit, I know my words on CNN last night were poorly chosen … I apologize to Ann Romney.” The report of that statement comes from Jim Acosta at CNN.

The question is whether the Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee will apologize to Romney, and whether they will fire Rosen over this incident. Rosen has long been associated with the Obama team and the DNC, and her apology means virtually nothing given the fact that she has defended her comments at length over the past 24 hours. Only pressure from inside the Obama campaign and DNC forced this apology. Even then, she apologized to Romney for her wording, not for the point she was making.

It’s all about “apologizing” on everything these days. The media does it all the time and has definately taken this nation on a ride for the next “politcally incorrect” statement to be made so they can engage the public and continue spewing the Obama agenda....and we’re playing right along.

Once facts are known, on everything, then there’s a huge wave of apoogies which are absolutely meaningless. Now they’ve made this part of the game within politics and the election.

The real name of that game is...say what you want, get the word out..create havoc...then apologise after the fact.

Interesting factoids on how Rosen is tied to the Obama Adminisration:

Hilary Rosen Visited The Obama White House At Least 35 Times.

Former CIA director and current Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, 12 times.

Perhaps most surprisingly, the name “Joseph R. Biden” appears . . . 6 times.

Geitner 40 times...so she’s close to as significant as Geitner.

the notion that Rosen is just some Democrat talking head, completely disconnected from the Obama administration and campaign is . . . not plausible.

Are you saying that once you've become successful, you completely forget what life was like before that success?

Laura Bush was 30 before she got married and lived on her own, teaching, working with underpriveleged kids (while on her own) and as a librarian before she married.

Do you think she can't identify with anyone other than elitists because of who she married, even though she lived nearly half her life without privilege?

I'm trying to understand how deeply the left's class warfare has seeped into our thought process here....

Sure did work...this thread even evidences it.....what are we discussing?

It sure isn’t that there remains a Conservative in the race, nor discussion of His wife....rather we’re talking about Romney.....and that’s what the Adminstration wants in the forefront...Romney...and we’re singing his tune.

We’re loaded with Romney/Obama talk.....when this Primary isn’t done. A distraction to the wifes and media is all it took to sideline the important issues....the race isn’t finished yet.

The Dems are trying, but they can't really disown this, because it's their template to the core, and they've been working with it for decades.

Rosen let the cat out of the bag, and it ain't going back in. She's an Obama lackey, and she was trying to take down his opponent (at least as they predict things) by taking down his wife.

Bad move.

have no comprehension of what life is like on Main Street.

That is the main point I was trying to make, in addition to I think it is a mistake to try and say Ann is just like the average mom. To say she is furthers the Democrats perception that Republicans/Romney are out of touch with the people who live on Main Street.

What does this story have to do with Rush or with Mouton?

My point more tersely stated would be: her appology is a sham.

That aside, she is another of the leftists populating this administration, top to bottom.

The undeniable truth is that the vast majority of the “elite” inside the beltway mom’s, whether they stay at home and raise children or work for a paycheck, or whether they have a “R” or a “D” after their name, have no comprehension of what life is like on Main Street.

That's exactly right.....but this does not mean we go to war against those who've earned and worked for their wealth....which is what Obamas pushing...class warfare.

He's successfully got the nation, along with the media complying, talking about Zimmerman, (race), religion is now on the table and causing division, and now woman. None of which these have to do with his dismal record but all have to do with playing the piped pipers tune to see who goes along....and the nation yields. How foolish and ignorant we truly are.

Rush spent 2/3rd’s of his show on this topic, and it’s not even worth Front Page News?

The GOP wants Romney at the forefront too.

If you think having a discussion about the dems stepping squarely into a big fresh pile of poo of their own making is 'singing his tune', you're mistaken.

This thread doesn't 'sideline' the issues any more than the Nascar thread, or the birdwatchers thread, or any other of the various subject threads floating around FR.

I disagree strongly that I can not relate to women because I am a full time mom.

But that was after you had worked outside the home....but you yourself set your schedule. Not another "Boss"....you determine the time and energy you put in or not and what days and times.

I would take a stay at home moms job any day to that of working outside the home.....control of my time is significant to me. I began using a legal pad in the home long before I used it in the working world! HA!

But I would differ...I loved being in the home and available to my kids....and doing all that to maintain a household. Is it a job Yes, but it is one that working woman must do both and often they are the only hands doing it all. There is no husband to pick up the slack.

If the car needs taken in...you do it, nobody's going to finish making dinner while you make that run. When you rent an apartment the lanlord doesn't drop the rate because of only one income....and it takes the same amount of heat to heat a room for one as it does for two or many.

So the equation does change considerably.

Ann Romney can’t comment about working moms but Big Ears is quailified to comment about military, owning a business, being an American, holding a real job, the Supreme Court rulings, transparency, etc.

Nascar nor birdwatchers are politics....Candidates wives are....and Obamas playing the strings.

LOL! Well said, Mama! Well said!

I couldn't agree more. This is bad news for the Obama administration, no matter how you look at it.

But the 'big fresh pile of poo' image is a priceless way to describe it. :)

Anne Romney isn’t the President of the nation. Obama has the position and can say what he chooses.....Anne’s husband is, however, running for that office...there is a difference.

Besides, there’s another candidate, Newt, still running as well...and I will stand by him till it’s over or he says that it is....then I will do a write in...I will not be voting for these two liberals who oppose all my beliefs behind a cloak of deception.

Rosen: Let's declare peace in this phony war and go back to focus on the substance.

In World War 2, after the US conquered Saipan, Tojo asked his foriegn minister to make peace. The diplomat replied that it is easier to start a war than to end one. Tojo resigned soon after that.

But if Romney was in charge of the US military at that time, it's not clear to me that the US would have won.

Which part of that is blasphemy....That Mitt wasn’t my first (or 2nd) choice or that I’d vote for Mitt over BHO?

Well, there's a school of thought right now that real conservatives need to sit out 2012 or vote 3rd party effectively handing Obama a second term in order to "teach the GOP a lesson" about rallying behind candidates who are insufficiently conservative. Me? Well, my school of thought is that a second Obama term will be an absolute unmitigated disaster, the effects of which will last generations long after he's left office and I've got children to think about.

I thought FR was a conservative site?

Sometimes it's hard to tell these days, isn't it?

So, what do you think about what is being said about Michelle Obama, that she got a no-show job due to cronyism? And when you were a homemaker, did you not do any "work" at all, or contribute at all to your family's welfare?

Gee, you must have been one lazy-butt mom!!
