Voters now have more confidence in presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney than in President Obama when it comes to the economy, but on other major issues facing the nation, the two men continue to run nearly even.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey asks Likely U.S. Voters whom they trust more on five key issues, and when it comes to the economy, 49% say Romney versus 39% who trust the president more. Twelve percent (12%) are not sure.

I trust Obama more on starting race wars and class wars and bringing down America.
Way too early to come to conclusions like this. This is just one poll, and it is more favorable to Willard than most of the others.
Half the population pays no federal taxes, massive numbers of people are now dependent on government - most of these people will vote to keep the gravy train going. Between blacks, gays, union thugs, Hispanics, those dependent on government, etc, etc, Hussein has a very strong base of support and is extremely unlikely to get anything less than 45% of the vote - probably closer to 50%.
All that being said, so long as the economy is weak Romney could very well win. Obama's oratory and lies may be wearing thin.
Dollars to donuts the “polls” will look good for Bishop Romney right up until he loses.
“Between blacks, gays, union thugs, Hispanics, those dependent on government, etc, etc, Hussein has a very strong base of support and is extremely unlikely to get anything less than 45% of the vote - probably closer to 50%.”
How many of the people in those groups are better off than they were 4 years ago? Even those dependent on the government are getting paid with inflated dollars - they can’t buy what they did 4 years ago as long as there is officially no inflation (despite the signs EVERYWHERE) to adjust with “cost of living” increases.
“I call it now: Romney 60% Obama 39% Others 1%”
I’d like to believe this; from what I see in my limited universe Obama will not even get 39%. A LOT of people are hurting, and they can still remember the “before-times”; the token has had his chance, and he’s done.
Disgruntled Santorum flunkies are very saddened...
Trust... Willard ?
BWAHHHHHHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA !!!!!!!!!!!
I understand those who refuse to vote Mittborg no matter what.
But I think the ones who say Willardtron cannot win are simply wrong.
Obama is disliked and distrusted and he is a terrible candidate. He is doing everything wrong.
Four years ago the leftists and the media easily sold Obama to America because his record and character were essentially unknown. The left was free to lie as much as they wanted. Obama appeared only in favorable circumstances and spoke in generalities and was never questioned on anything.
Now he has to run on his true record and respond to actual current events.
I think Obama is readily beatable, even by the Romneybot.
That 39% number is what’s scary.
It’s going to be super close if the Republicans win. Probably looking at a similar victory to Bush’s in 2000 and 2004.
If Obama wins, it will be about by the same margin in 2008, maybe larger.
I say this because from my own eyes, I see the Democrats have officially succeeded in dumbing down the public. Example is a lady I work with. She is 37 and a registered Republican. She told me last week she was voting for 0bama again. She said even though she is a Republican and agrees with 0bama on nothing, is staunchly pro life and a devout Christian she thinks 0bama is cute, likes his smile and loves the way he speaks. I was blown away. I really wanted to cuss her out and tell she was stupid ignorant bitch and it’s voter like her that are aiding and abetting in destroying this country, but I need my job. I did tell her she doesn’t deserve the right to vote if that’s what she bases her vote on. She said she couldn’t help it, )bama is just too adorable and iresistable. Crazy.
How do you beat 0bama with people out there like that? Women are going to vote for him in droves and Women always out vote men.
I’ll be surprised if the Republicans win, let alone get a landslide.
My prediction at this stage is 0bama wins in 32 states with 54% of the vote.
