The public is not stupid. No matter how many times the news media tells them George Zimmerman is guilty, most will believe that he acted in self-defense. And the public knows we have a problem with violent crime in this country, regardless of the race of the perpetrators. Most of the public will wonder if this Administration really cares about their safety.

I suppose they are that stupid. They have convinced themselves that Bitter Clingers are a small remnant and most of the country actually agrees with them.

I suspect they are about to learn differently.

The key, of course, is to get the exurbia population out to the polls.

OK Sergeant! Forgive my retro-vision, but I am still smarting from GW's loss in PA in 2004 (While Santorum won!) The crooked votes from Philly, Scranton, Pittsburgh, Wilkes-Barre, Chester, and Reading swept the state right out from under him.

Philly precincts with 98% reported voting? Or take New York State, where the "upstaters" talk a good conservative game, while usually forgetting to vote, letting the urban hordes of NYC carry the whole show.

Hey, I reckon you are right! But I can never forgive Karl and his "Mexicans are the Republicans of the Future."

My retro-oculitis is worse than I thought! Make I refer to the the election of 2000.

GW lost on a wave of ballots in which no other candidate was checked!

Hanson from his first work to his present is worth reading.
Will and Noonan not so much, their writing talent bank account is long overdrawn.

I agree.
The swing vote or “mushy middle” went “novelty” the last time. I don’t see that happening again, the only danger being is they might stay home. That I think unlikely.

Is Team Obama that stupid, or did this just get away from them?

The Messiah isn't stupid. I think what happened is that his ego overrode his mouth.

Now Holder, however, is a different story. He seems to be doing everything possible to provoke a showdown with congress, so he can use the "I'm being attacked because I'm black" maxim.

Did I read somewhere that Zimmerman, himself, is a DemocRAT?

I think Zero's percentage of the college kid vote will be severely impacted by the economy's lack of jobs. Now they might not vote GOP, they might just stay home, likewise with women..
Depending on how this Zimmerman-Martin thing plays out will impact his share of the Latin vote.
The back vote is monolithic, it's possible the turn out will be suppressed since Zero didn't pay all their bills and wants from his “stash”. That fear of a lowering in black turnout is one of the motivating factors in the race card being played over the shooting. Unfortunately the “bad guy” doesn't quite fit the expected profile.

You’re right, of course. The key to winning elections is using the Wisconsin gambit. You hold back your biggest voting block until after the rat cities reveal their bogus counts.

"The problem the liberals have with this is that hispanics may begin to identify with Zimmerman."

I fully expect to see polling on that once the trial starts. I'm sure it's already being done, quietly.

"Hispanics in America have always had an uneasy coexistence with blacks."

THAT, is an understatement....

"In the elections of 2010, Dem turnout was low. The urban masses did not turn out. "

Correct. That list you've got there is a tough group to keep motivated. And if they're not, they stay home. Hussein's ship of fools have definitely been doing their part in disenchanting their own base. And thank goodness, because Romney will need the help.

"In Seattle, there are more dogs than children."

Perhaps. But neither of those groups vote. At least not for Republicans. Look at the demo map for WA state. It's nearly all red except for urban areas. That's where the colleges are and all those young childless narcissistic couples.

You are assuming an honest vote. The fraud is going to be of mammoth proportions.

Obama also implied that he shares the liberal perspective that America is a country where black kids must walk in daily fear of white racist vigilantes.

As if white kids could walk the same streets and not be nervous of being assaulted by "black yutes"

statistic wise, whites are the victims of black criminals(whether robbery, murder, rape etc.) by a greater percentage than average population would indicate. And white on black vigilantism is the rarest by far..

But then, the truth never gets in the way of a good story....

It is Jesse Jackson and the Black Caucus crying that Trayvon was "hunted down like a rabid dog in the street," that he was "murdered and martyred," that it was a "hate crime."

That is almost identical to what the MORMON church claims about Joseph Smith's death!

I’ll add that most liberals live in large cities.

If race riots start, that’s where they will start.

Liberals don’t like living in fear in their own homes. This won’t play out well for Obama. As a community organizer his tools are thuggery and us against them divisions to get what he wants. The “them” in this case far outnumber the Obama “us” and have a vote.

But from what the pubic knows, a charge of second-degree murder, which carries a sentence of 25 years to life, does not seem to stand up.

I think the pubic knows that a 25 years to life is a really stiff sentence.
