Who cares what the press has to do? The liberal media will eat glass for their lord Obama.
That still does not make Romney a conservative.

Thats ridiculous. Youre an Obama ally. And youre exaggerating Romneys record.
No, you are either ignorant of Romney's record or you are puposefully lying:

Pinging you to SoConPubbie’s post above about Romney’s record of appointing radical leftist progressive/liberal judges.

That is an unlikely outcome, as conservatives have already started taking over the reigns of the RNC - doing so state by state. Liberal GOP whackjobs have been thrown out in the 2010 elections, and that will likely increase in this election.
Ron,
I respectfully disagree.
Romney killed off the GOP in MA, explicitly because of his PRogressive Liberal Behavior. The same thing has happened in CA with Arnold.
To: Outlaw Woman
Actually, a correct understanding is he was not anti-homosexual. I always admired how he fought for conservatism, and remember he was one of the few who stood up and fought against the anti-Palin smears, calling the GOP a bunch of eunuchs for not defending her. At that gathering he wished that Palin had run, saying she could go to a town of 10,000 people and 150,000 would show up. I admire him for what he did, he understood you couldn't roll over and quit (unlike a lot of people here), that the left would continue to dominate with evil if you did.

I don’t think they really are trying to convince anyone with telling people to eff off, personally.
It won’t win anyone over, unfortunately, but I don’t think they care. The one guy I was discussing this with on another thread was more interested in discussion and gave me a thread or two to read about Newt, and I am still going through them and feeling a little better about him possibly winning at the convention.

I think conservatives have lost power in the GOP. We are not wanted. I still cannot believe they really expect us to vote for Romney.

The sheep are being fooled. They were being fooled all along and clueless to the fact. And the MA voters were fooled also. He can't stop being evil, it's who he is. They succumbed to his lies about Newt and with his appointed candidates guarding Newt's rise.
The great deceiver fooled them all and now they are looking to him as their savior. Evil brings those who embrace it down to it's level. All by design and the clueless where none the wiser as they jumped from candidate to candidate and snubbed the real conservative - the one with a proven record, the one more than able to make change and ready to do it. It was pitiful to watch.

I’m not talking about that. I’m talking about the ever quickening knee-jerk response to ban anyone with any opinion slightly different than your own.
Ever since 2010, that pace has been quickening here.
To: Mears

Almost right ... I am vigorously anti MormonISM. One of my best friends from college is a Mormon, sadly. And I’ve spent years studying the cult of Joe Smith. He was a peepstone conman sexual predator of married women, didn’t you know? Want to try that feckless squelch routine again, sparky?

How is it that so many of [the posters] pimping Romney are so ignorant of his record? They may know his record, but they're boot-licking, Party-First, Republicans, not principled Conservatives.
As Jim has stated, this is a Conservative forum, not a Republican mouthpiece.
How the heck are we ever going to gain strength for our position, when half the people who claim to support it go running for cover under the (R) Party Flag at the first sign of an opposition candidate like Obama?
Sure, another Obama term will be nasty, and maybe that's what it will take to trigger the rebellion required to renew America. To paraphrase what another wise FR poster wrote some days ago:
This country was founded and fought for by men with little food and few supplies, who slogged through icy blizzards clothed in burlap bags, to fight against an enemy who had power, wealth, and comfort.
What the hell are we complaining about?

You remind me of some members of a church I used to attend....it was perfection or nothing. Sadly, sometimes we have to take the best option in a bad situation.
No, you really got that wrong.
Romney has nothing in his record to recommend him to conservatives.
This isn't about looking for perfection, it's just about finding somebody that is at least adequate and not an enemy to conservatism as Romney's own record shows:
And with regards to your point about praying, we already have, why do you think we are so adament against Romney?
We already know that Romney loses, if God so frowns on us to let Romney be our nominee.
His lying, left-wing, Progressive Liberal record will be used by Obama and the Media like a club upside his head 24/7 until election day to destroy his poll numbers and his candidacy.
We know that, that is why we are so adament against Romney:

Hey bud, do you think you could find the time to make up one of those swell graphics with this content?
Mitt Romneys Dismal Record
"As U.S. real output grew 13 percent between 2002 and 2006, Massachusetts trailed at 9 percent.
* Manufacturing employment fell 7 percent nationwide those years, but sank 14 percent under Romney, placing Massachusetts 48th among the states.
* Between fall 2003 and autumn 2006, U.S. job growth averaged 5.4 percent, nearly three times Massachusetts' anemic 1.9 percent pace.
* While 8 million Americans over age 16 found work between 2002 and 2006, the number of employed Massachusetts residents actually declined by 8,500 during those years.
"Massachusetts was the only state to have failed to post any gain in its pool of employed residents," professors Sum and McLaughlin concluded.
In an April 2003 meeting with the Massachusetts congressional delegation in Washington, Romney failed to endorse President Bush's $726 billion tax-cut proposal."

So, you are afraid of Obama and have decided to put your faith to a dishonorable person who lies. Smart thinking. Gonna be a sight to see when Romney steps in it and we all say, we tried to tell you they both are going to lie in the end. We have time to reject Romney.

Ye of little faith and lots of mushy headedness. What would happen to the remaining delegates if Newt and Sarah teamed up this coming week and ran as a ticket for Pres and Veep? ... Rominy would have zero air left to bout up his lies and flipfloppery, that’s what! Will it happen? I dunno, but the fact that we can see there could be a way to shut off rominy’s GOP-e wave these deceitful jerks are pushign at FR as if rominy is already the nominee ought to tell you God is not washing His hands of this mess ‘cause we’re still praying for His hand into the fray.
