We will not waste our limited resources on FR in support for a liberal progressive LIAR

A reminder for those who are not receiving the message:

Romney is a pathological compulsive liar. Lie after lie papered over with more lies. Doesn’t even flinch when caught in bald faced lies, simply tells another big whopper to cover up or dodge the issue. Funny thing, the man actually seems to believe his own latest lies and simply ignores the glaring record of his past actions/lies. And you have true blue establishment elite RINO Republicans like Karl Rove enabling and backing up his lies. Their motivation is simply to hang on to power (and riches) any way they can.

I’ve stated many times since Romney started running for the presidency way back when that I’d never vote for him and I will not. He cannot lie his way out of his decades long record of support for abortion, Roe v Wade, planned parenthood, gay rights, gun control, global warming, amnesty, liberal judges, big government, compulsory or socialized health care (RomneyCommieCare), mandates, Keynesian economics, support and approval of TARP, bailouts, stimulus packages, i.e, every damn liberal progressive issue that comes down the pike.

C’mon. These are the reasons the tea party sprang up and the reasons he and Rove loathe the tea party and our tea party conservative candidates. Romney famously expressed his loathing for Reagan-Bush conservatism several years ago when he was trying to run to the left of Ted Kennedy and now he’s cloaking himself in Reagan conservatism, knowing full well that it’s a lie, but he knows it’s the only way he can possibly win, er buy the Republican nomination.

Screw Romney!! I absolutely will not support or vote for a proven compulsive liar with a known record of abortion and big government socialism, liberal appointments, etc. He still lies about RomneyCommieCare today. Calls it a “conservative solution.” Get real!!

Listen to what Ronald Reagan had to say about the elites pushing socialism on America via compulsory health insurance:

Ronald Reagan speaks out against RomneyCommieCare

There will be no campaign for this Massachusetts liberal liar on FR!!

Damn the libs and RINOS, full steam ahead!!

But no matter what happens we must turn out in November to vote IN as many conservatives and vote OUT as many rats as possible at all levels of government. If we don't have a conservative at the top of the ticket we must turn out anyway and vote straight conservative DOWN ticket!! Just think of it an off cycle election and pour on the TEA!! It'll be doubly important that we control both houses of congress and as many statehouses as possible.

Restore the 10th amendment!! Impeach the leftist president whoever he may be!! Restore Liberty!! Rebellion comes from the bottom up!!

No Bama!! No Romney!! Go tea party rebellion!!

To: Newt 2012

I am sane and sober as I write this and I support Newt Gingrich including giving my money to him.

I look to Newt for leadership in decisively dealing with the ticking 16 trillion dollar debt bomb.

The European models of cutting the entitlements and raising taxes at the same time to deal with the debt crisis is not an appealing solution.

As an authentic conservative, I would find such solutions unacceptable, yet I am convinced that Romney will go that way.

My Senator Pat Toomey, who is a Romney supporter, is proposing a plan to balance the budget in ten years.

Its more bold than Paul Ryan’s plan and involves the European style ideas of cutting programs while keeping them in existence and raising taxes (by closing “loopholes”).

Some years ago Rush Limbaugh had an on-air conversation during the Bush 43 years with Ed Gillespie, a GOP insider working for Bush.

Gillespie said “it will not happen” when Rush pressed him on the notion of getting rid of departments like Education, Energy etc.

Those same insiders (Gillespie and other) now foist Romney upon us and will not do what really needs to be done to deal with the debt bomb.

Instead, they plan higher taxes for us.

Get rid of things like Departments of Energy, Education etc.
Get rid of the EPA and OSHA.....Get rid of Medicare Part D and reform Social Security.....Roll back Medicaid, Veterans Hospitals and other progressive socialistic increments that led us to Obamacare.

Cut the spending now and balance the budget NOW..........

“No, Romney was not my choice. But I will definitely vote for him. “

Don’t take this in a hateful way, but

It is the tons of people who think like you that are responsible for the mess we are in now. If you had taken a stand long before Obama then America would be going in a different direction. You vote for the ones the GOP establishment gives you- no matter what. And that is why they can give you the very worst, and you will still vote for them.

On top of that your type(And you are far from alone) are responsible for making “Conservatism” nothing more than another word for a fake Idealism to the American public. You stand for Crap then you will get crap in return.

No mater if it is Obama or Romney- We loose just the same. Almost exactly the same. Close enough to say it does not matter which one. Do you think that God picked either one of them. No- He let the American public have what their hearts desire as they have become to weak to even take a stand at the ballot box. To lost to even know the value of good principles. As they became willing to even support a baby murderer, and a Gay pusher, for president. Even the principles of Liberty and reward for working hard and doing things right go out the window with Romney.

Open you eyes, stand back, and take a look at what you are doing. If you want a chance for a real change then it starts by taking a stand for what is right. I know that it is very late. But if a lot of people would do that...Then maybe God would lend a hand. At least he would have something to work with.

But Rick sure did give the dastardly Mittens a run for his money by winning 11 states...with very little funding and good ol’ grassroots volunteers!

Newt was beating Mitt in the polls by a good margin back in late December and early January.

Rick's support wasn't all grass roots. In my opinion he also had the support of the media and the RINOs early on, to take down Newt and to deliver Mitt a win.

And that's what happened.

And the eleven states Santorum won were in my opinion the only states he ever had a chance to win.

How I wish Rick Perry had the delegates now. According to some FReepers, particularly many Palin supporters who wanted to eliminate the competition in advance of her certain entry, he was as bad as Romney. Having marbles in his mouth and head did not help, but he was positively destroyed on this forum. He was this years Fred Thompson. One by one, the conservatives here deemed them unfit and now we are left with Mr. Inevitable.

I like Palin, but many of us wished at the time that she would have made a decision sooner. Her supporters (I was one) are an energetic bunch and their enthusiasm for her bled over in a big way on this forum in the form of candidate destruction to clear the path for her.

To be clear, our present situation is not her fault nationally, but her delayed non-candidacy created a particularly nasty environment here.

Will he sacrifice his ‘beliefs’ of true Conservatism for a temporary power position with Romney or will he prove himself to everyone he stands solidly behind his spoken ‘campaign words’.”

We agree about the decision Rick Santorum has to make.

The problem for Santorum — and I hope he understands it — is that private assurances mean nothing if you don't believe Romney's word can be trusted, and they mean less than nothing if Romney is defeated. I hope Santorum campaign staff are seeing this and telegraph to him, loud and clear, that if Santorum endorses Romney based on some sort of private assurances of a cabinet post or other position and Romney loses, Romney has lost nothing because the private agreement will never get revealed, but Santorum has lost a great deal because he'll be tagged as a flip-flopper who endorsed Romney, just like he did before with Specter, but for much less valid reasons.

Given Santorum’s history of being willing to support problematic candidates, I'm expecting he will eventually endorse the Republican nominee, and may even endorse Romney earlier. “Taking one for the team” is a good possibility, and I could see him saying that he'll endorse Romney publicly in return for a private commitment to something such as a key cabinet post dealing with abortion or marriage issues, or maybe a Supreme Court seat. (Don't laugh — political appointments to the Supreme Court have a long history, Santorum is a lawyer, he wouldn't be the first person nominated who has never served as a judge, and based on his past history in the highly collegial Senate, he's probably the farthest right-wing candidate who has a shot at Senate confirmation for the Supreme Court.)

I suspect much will depend on what happens in the next few races, but I also suspect much is going on behind the scenes. It wouldn't surprise me if the decisions by key organizations in the right-to-life and anti-gay-marriage movement to publicly back Romney now were done with the goal of persuading Santorum to get on board the Romney train.

Nobody here is trying to argue — least of all me — that backing Gingrich at this late date is anything other than a long shot. I get it.

I'd rather try a long shot than give up before the battle is lost. As DJ MacWoW said, “Listen, failure is certain if one doesn't even try! Surrender before the battle is foolish.”

And you will not get your wish to make things better. Because you sold your sole on the false premise that you could trade one definite evil for another definite evil, and come out ahead. Your only truly meaningful vote is “None of the above”. Now I just wonder what would happen if a truly large number of people declared that stand. Just maybe a real 3rd party candidate would arise, and save us from our fate. And like a true miracle(reward) from God, then maybe that candidate could actually win.

But if you are so set on voting for Romney then why would anybody bother.

“No, Romney was not my choice. But I will definitely vote for him. “

Explain to me why, if you are Republican, you’d vote for one who isn’t?

Mitt Romney: ‘My “R” Does Not Stand for Republican’

Why, if you are conservative, you’d vote for one who isn’t?

Romney: ‘I’m not a partisan Republican, I’m moderate and progressive’

What is the DIFFERENCE between Romney and Obama, I’d like to know.

Romney backs Obama on abortion, the stimulus, TARP, war time tables, gun control laws, amnesty for illegals, government mandated healthcare.

“Mitt has 666 delegates”

FALSE. According to RNC own count, Romney has 573 bounded delegates so far. He needs 571 more to clinch the nomination.

With the release of some 200 delegates from Santorum dropping out, the nomination is not over YET, as more than 1150 delegates have to be allocated in the next primaries.

I will be voting for Newt in the Texas Primary in May

Wah-Hooo!!!!!!...I will be voting Newt in Pa this month too!

Unfortunately, the Romulan coronation has already taken place because the Republican establishment allows crossover democrats and RINOS in conservative stronghold states like New Hampshire and Iowa to determine our candidate.

Yes, I've been reading comments on Democratic web sites because I want to know what they are saying about our primary candidates and to see what they're up to.......More than a few occassions I ran across leaders of groups touting about how they crossed over and voted for Romney in the states allowing that...and further they are quite aware and enjoying the fact they won putting Newt down as well.

They are truly and most sincerely afraid of Newt....which is why such a long stretch at taking him down...the biggest thing going against Newt now, and soon became the standard, is the media "black out" concerning him.....they know if they give him a stage he'll succeed to win the Presidency...and at all costs to them they will make certain that doesn't happen.

I'm just hoping Newt has a few wild cards to play at just the right moment.....He's all about timing.

Yes, and Bush promised twice (as Obama also did) to move the Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem... Neither kept the promise.

I believe Newt will do it. He introduced that bill in the House in 1996, which was overwhelmingly approved by the Congress. Neither Clinton, nor Bush and Obama allowed it to happen.

I DO know Romney won’t do it. The only thing he would like is baptizing all the dead Jews, but doing nothing for those alive. He doesn’t care about Israel a bit.

Clarification: The quote came from Pravious, not from me. I was responding to what he said.

I'm aware of delegate math issues and don't know what the real numbers are at this point, except that Romney is ahead by some number greater than Gingrich and less than what he needs to be nominated on the first ballot.

In other words, there's still time, but time is quickly running out.

A Romney Presidency, like GWB’s, would result in more of what the Republican establishment has always brought us: bigger government, continued attacks in individual liberty, etc., etc. Only it’s all done by a person who purports to be a conservative - making conservatism look like statism.

I was furious when GWB/Paulson started the bailouts. That was the end of the Republican party as anything resembling a party that espoused free-markets. GWB began the Federal government’s embrace of islam, which, since it virulently attacks all non-muslims by the continual rantings of it’s leaders (they constantly speak of hate and murder of non-muslims), it is squarely against America, her citizens and Constitution.

It’s patently obvious that establishment Republicanism has been and is bringing us to the same point as the New/Far Left communism (which has quite thoroughly infiltrated the Democratic party). Establishment Republicans are just going a bit slower and they’ve told themselves they’re conservative so many times they actually believe their own words. They are simply sticking their head in the sand.

France, Spain, Italy, etc., are all going to economically collapse in the not too distant future, and this may well happen during the next Presidential term. Only Germany can internally produce what they need for their own consumption and still have a reasonable standard of living; while their enormous trade surplus may go away, they still can get along by themselves.

Romney, being of the U.S. “big finance” community, sees the world as they do. His reaction would simply be to prop everything up by issuing more Treasury debt which would continue to be monetized by the Federal Reserve and the primary dealers (the core of “big finance”). American investment capital would continue the tsunami-scale outflow from the U.S. to China and other nations, as big finance thinks that overseas investments are the “way to go”. When profits are made overseas, big finance then wants to repatriate the profits - tax free ! It would simply be “business as usual” under Romney, which, bottom line, would still make the American economy the Titanic.

When things get economically disastrous, if a Republican is in the White House, the New/Far Left (ayers, etc.) would stoke up the civil unrest machine and try to finish off the current government/Constitution. On the other hand, if nobama is reelected, then when the crash begins in earnest and the American economy starts to really get trashed, the Far Left would BE the administration, and would respond FDR style, simply using it to complete more government takeovers. The difference is, if the New/Far Left is in the WH, they run the military and law enforcement, so they do not want to see domestic confrontation with them. If the New Left is not in the WH, then they oppose those establishments, since they would be run by actual loyal Americans. Personally, I think the Far left is mistaken in the idea that widescale unrest can be fomented in the U.S., for reasons that they really don’t understand. I think they are also mistaken about how much state takeover they can accomplish when they are in power, even in the event of economic catasrophe. IMHO, the way things will work out is not that bad, and much more boring than one might think.

Given an economic situation that continually worsens in terms of consumer price inflation and unemployment, even to drastic levels of perhaps 100% and 50%, respectively, the populace will keep weeding out the most immoral, incompetent and corrupt politicians at the local, State and Federal levels until the situation improves. Communities all across America will simply not tolerate seeing their homes and businesses trampled; though they may be struggling financially, IMHO they will naturally band together to keep themselves safe if necessary.

IMHO, the days of establishment media and government education are numbered, as the populace is growing tired of their subversion.

IMHO, it is not a single political “evil person” or single political “savior” functioning as President that will ultimately make the difference in America’s fate.

What is most important is the nation turning back to God, for if this does not happen, then more and more Americans will continue to turn to all sorts of ideas that are bad for them, and continue to insist that these pursuits are their right, or don’t matter that much to other people. These bad pursuits then become their master; they are enslaved to them. Expecting such a population to produce leaders who are competent and not corrupt is, of course, futile. We certainly have become a wicked and perverse generation; surely God is a merciful God who would take us back if we turn to him.

My vote for Mitt Romnay is not really a vote for Mitt Romnay, but rather a vore to save America. I know Obama cannot be trusted to do that, and I am not sure if Mitt can be either. In this case better the devil that I do not know then the devil I already have.

Thanks for the response. My own experience, though, is that people complain about the government when their party is out of power and then support more government programs and interference when their party governs.

Maybe the Tea Party changes this a little. Maybe the next Republican president will care more about deficits and cutting spending than the last one, but people who hope for a lot more than that are going to be disappointed. So far as I can see that's more or less the nature of politicians and voters, save in truly exceptional circumstances.

Forty, fifty years ago when all this Republican elite talk started, the liberals and moderates in the party really were an elite -- people like the Rockefellers, Lodges, Scrantons. Most of the wealth of the country was in the Northeast, and a lot of it was in families who'd had money for decades. And many of those old money types were Republican leaders and quite liberal. The South and West, by contrast, were poorer and less developed, and had real grievances.

But if Karl Rove and Ann Coulter are today's Republican elite -- well, the elite just isn't what it used to be. It's not people who've had power for generations anymore. It's people who are one election or one Washington job separated from the rest of us. No doubt they get impatient with the rest of us as obstacles to having everything their way, but I doubt they hate or despise us.

If Establishment Republicans get elected in Arizona, Utah, South Carolina, or Nebraska as well as in Maine, New York, Massachusetts, or Vermont, that's another change. Some people are pushing a regional conflict within the party that doesn't take into account that politicians from different regions tend to behave in similar ways after they're elected.

I picked up “Romney’s 573 bounded delegates” from the GOP site, and I think people should be aware of the real delegates count. Santorum had 202, and Gingrich 137.

The lamestream media include the unbounded delegates in Romney’s count, but not in Gingrich’s (who would be then at 149). Amazing, no?

Nothing else will do if we value our principles, if we value our morals, if we value God's very laws.

I am certainly solid in the fact that voting for our conservative candidate , Former speaker Newt Gingrich, gives me great honor...I can stand before my maker knowing it is the right choice and stays within those very principles, morals and God's laws.

Some would say we ARE fighting about death, the death of our nation, others have forgotten who they are in their desperation to unseat Obama by supporting Romney.....and they ARE supporting all which he stands for by giving him their 'For' vote....and his policies fly in the face of all the above.

I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam. A large majority of the whole have stood by me. Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I. The followers of Jesus ran away from Him; but the Latter-day Saints never ran away from me yet.

Test your knowledge of Mormons and Muslims

..while we will be "gods, even the sons of God" (D&C 76:58), we will never be at the same level as them or stop worshipping them, but we will be like them and enjoy a quality of life similar to theirs.

"We do not believe that you must be a member of our Church to go to heaven. However, we believe that all men are rewarded in heaven based on their works and the type of lives that they lived in mortality. There are certain blessings in Heaven which are only available to Latter-day Saints who have been true and faithful to the sacred covenants that they have made with God. These exclusive blessings will be discussed later in this essay. We do everything in our power to help the rest of the human family prepare themselves so that they might be worthy to receive these blessings also."

And Romney is NOT a conservative. He isn't even a Republican.

Obama supreme court picks

To quote my own tagline, "WAAHH WAAAHHH SCOTUS" is no excuse to vote for Romney.

I think that you had better take a darn good look at Obamney's record in Massachusetts. Obamney doesn't have the nomination. It is imperative that people vote for Gingrich in the primaries and stop Obama's twin.

This is powerful stuff!

So, tell me, who do we vote for? Romney=Obama=a vote for crimes against humanity.

Mitt Romney created the contraceptive/abortifacient mandate and Obamacare, both of these men reject the Constitution on freedom of religion.

Is it a matter of voting for vice presidents instead of presidents? Don’t vice-presidents just go to state funerals?

Two quotes from Evangelium Vitae of Blessed Pope John Paul II:

(1) When a parliamentary or social majority decrees that it is legal, at least under certain conditions, to kill unborn human life, is it not really making a “tyrannical” decision with regard to the weakest and most defenceless of human beings? Everyone’s conscience rightly rejects those crimes against humanity of which our century has had such sad experience. [EV 70]

(2) In the case of an intrinsically unjust law, such as a law permitting abortion or euthanasia, it is therefore never licit to obey it, or to “take part in a propaganda campaign in favour of such a law, or vote for it”. [EV 73]

So, basically, it’s a crime against humanity to vote for Romney or Obama as that is a direct vote for total war on children in the womb by these totally cowardly, anti-American, abusers of power out to harm children. Is one really better than the other? Really? Tell me why…

Did I say the owner of the site? no I didn’t, but I’m asking about those that are cheering him on. How do you know their sole purpose isn’t to deflate Republicans and Tea Party people?

The Romney Economy

It is arresting to imagine a Romney White House, inevitably filled with as many former Bain colleagues as each of his other public ventures have been: The PowerPoints, the 80-20 jargon, the clinical separation of decision-making from ideology, the detachment of those decisions from moral consequence, a persistent blind spot for people as people. It would represent the final ascension of a perfectly American type, one that has already remade the culture of business. I once asked a Bain colleague of Romney’s how Romney thought of his own core competence. “I think Mitt thinks he’s good at being Mitt Romney,” the colleague said.

They try to portray you in the worst possible light... and when I travel around the United States meeting people in the Tea Party who care -- black, white, gay, straight -- anyone that's willing to stand next to me to fight the progressive left, I will be in that bunker, and if you're not in that bunker 'cause you're not satisfied with this candidate, more than shame on you. You're on the other side.

I agree. It is hard to say you will not vote. But, simply, I am sick and tired of HAVING to vote for people that I would not dare share a meal with or invite to my home!!!! That is how bad it is in my humble opinion. I am simply sick of the lack of quality candidates that the republican party puts out. I have dropped out of the republican party a few years back. I am I guess an independent, but I am a solid conservative. I simply do not will not and cannot vote for people of this type. If people want to lose their minds over my choice, oh well. But I am going to vote my heart and soul, not my rear end. I do not like Romney. I do not like what he stands for. I do not like who he is. I do not like his politics. I do not like anything about him. Thus, I simply will not vote for him. This is the first time in my adult life that I will not vote for a president. I cannot vote for either because to me they are one and the same. Enemies of what I believe and stand for. If idiots here do not like that, tough stuff is all I have to say for them. The cowards that send me back channel FR mail just strengthens my resolve. They show me they are the same garbage as Romney and Obama are. So I do not care what the punks say. Enjoy. God bless.

My vote for Mitt Romnay is not really a vote for Mitt Romnay, but rather a vore to save America....better the devil that I do not know then the devil I already have.

We heard the same crap from McCain's operatives in 2008. Not going to fly this time. If Romney is the nominee, the Ruling Class and their Marxist allies have already won and everything you folks think you are preventing will happen anyway - and with much more thoroughness as the Conservative ideology as a viable political base will have been neutered and rendered irrelevant in the future course of the former Republic.

And so no one misunderstands, those of us who will NEVER vote for Romney ARE ABO. That means we will write-in our own Conservative in the top spot after voting straight Conservative for the House and Senate.

We will NEVER vote for Romney, because we refuse to drink the kool-aid being served to us by the Ruling Class oligarchs and by Obama himself - who CHOSE this candidate to be our nominee.

We're not playing that game, and we no longer have any obligation to an adulterous party that disdains and cheats on the base and time and again squashes and gives away our principles. We're divorced and will now only support those who have OUR principles as their own and have a record that we can agree supports our principles.

The fact that was self-evident in the last six years that few are willing to accept, is that the Ruling Class GOP-e WANTS to get rid of the Conservatives in their party anyway. They will use us to get into power and within moments, betray us and deny the Conservatives a voice, and that is how we end up with jewels of colossal failure like Boehner leading the party. We're done.

It was the Ruling Class working hand-in-hand with the Marxist Fascists that they are so enamored over and willing to work with that have and will cause the -re-election of Obama. I will not accept the insipid charge that voting for someone other than Romney makes us responsible for America's demise. That's pure bullsheist and the same stupid scare-tactic the McCainiacs foisted on us.

Enough Americans wanted a king, and they got Obama, and if enough American want government to be their god, they will get that too. You can thank the Ruling Class in the GOP -e and the MarxoFascists for creating the demand.

“Is one really better than the other?”

If all the GOP can come with for beating Obama is a pro-abortion, anti-gun, pro-mandate (coercion of citizens treated as the government’s subjects) liberal as Mitt Romney, I won’t vote for him and I’m through with the RINO GOP as well. Period.

Until I can vote again for candidates of a new Conservative Republicans Party ...

At least we aren't stuck on stupid or sheeple mode.

The political elites can go to hell and take Obamney with them.

I think I would define stuck on stupid as being willing to sit on ones real end and aid the re-election of Obama.

I am NOT a Romney supporter. I would rather have had ANY of the other candidates (except for Ron Paul). That being said...

I am an adult and I understand that the candidates I wanted did not win. Romney was better organized and had better funding.

This leaves me only four options:

1. Vote for Obama. Not gonna happen.
2. Vote for Romney. Distasteful.
3. Vote for a third party candidate.
4. Don’t vote.

Options 1, 3 and 4 help ensure an Obama victory. Options 3 and 4 might make me feel good for a bit - take that, establishment RINO’s! - but will lead to long term damage to our country that might never get set right.

I don’t like broccoli. It tastes nasty and gives me gas, but compared to most other vegetables, it is high in vitamins and, once past the gas, good for me.

Romney = Broccoli
