>>>Oh come on, Jim, you and I and 99% of FR will end up voting for Romney simply because the alternative is unthinkable.

Speak for yourself. I’m a 1% - And I bet Jim is too by your terms... I will NOT end up voting for Willard. Ever.

It’s damn sad that all of the efforts of conservatives have come down to ... Romney!

Romney bought his way to where he is now. There is no shortage of reports from his competitors, past and present, about how much money he's spent getting to this point. He may have started his fortune on his own, but the way he's going about achieving his biggest goal is turning people off big-time.

Tea Party Nation leader to Mitt Romney: Don't Expect us to campaign for you

Snip: Phillips said that surveys conducted on the Tea Party Nation website have shown that about 25 percent of tea party activists say they won’t vote for Romney in the general election.

As loathsome as the alternative may be, I'd hate to help Obama.

One vote doesn't matter much but I'd hate to look back from total societal collapse and have to say I didn't vote against it.

I think we're at one of those pivotal points in our nation's history where the confluence of events demands a showdown. We won't survive the current trajectory, whether the Socialist in the White House is a Democrat or a Republican.

Better to reject the loathsome fraud, Romney, and tell the left to Bring It. Let's get this thing over with.

Damn straight I’m on the other side. The side that’s against abortion and gay marriage. Obama and Romney are on the same team.

But he is still better than Obama

No he isn't. His track record says he appoints liberal judges.

You are giving the supreme court to the libs, because if the dems control the senate or if the repubs control the senate, he'll nominate unknowns with lib tendencies, and you'll swing the court back to the libs. The dems will gladly vote for them, and the rinos will gladly join with the dems to confirm them so that they "support their president."

Obama as president would at least require the rinos to pretend to be opposition.

But, there is a 3rd way. Elect a conservative from another party.

I intend to vote for the GOP nominee whoever it is.

Then you are a Republican, and not a conservative, that wants a free republic.

GraceG/RedMDer: If you're going to appropriate Breitbart's image, at least do him the credit of posting HIS perspective too. Agree with him or don't. But don't misrepresent him. Breitbart at CPAC2012 February 10, 2012 I don't care who our candidate is You want a unity speech? I'll give you a unity speech. I don't care who our candidate is. I haven't since the beginning of this... ask not what the candidate can do for you, ask what you can do for the candidate! And that's what the Tea Party is. We are there to confront the radical left on behalf of our candidate! I will march behind who ever our candidate is. Because if we don't, we lose. There are two paths! There are two paths! One is America, the other is Occupy! One is America, the other is Occupy! And I don't care, and along the way... I've realized over the last three years that the Republican Party and the conservative movement is not what ABC, CBS and NBC put on the screen. They try to portray you in the worst possible light... and when I travel around the United States meeting people in the Tea Party who care -- black, white, gay, straight -- anyone that's willing to stand next to me to fight the progressive left, I will be in that bunker, and if you're not in that bunker 'cause you're not satisfied with this candidate, more than shame on you. You're on the other side.

My goodness. All I did was say I was glad that FU meant Freep You and not the other word.

There’s a lot to be said for that. And I did it with Dole, and McCain but I can’t do it with Romney as I believe he is part of the progressive left.

I will not vote liberal. Ever. Period.

And I'm not responsible for the alternative which really isn't an alternative.

Talk to the GOP-e.

They screwed the pooch saddling us with Romney.

Who I won't vote for. Ever.

I can’t support any pro abortion politician and both Romney and Obama are pro abortion.

I am very concerned about what Obama will do with another term in office and believe Romney as President to be a better choice but still will not be supporting him and that sucks because then who is there to beat Obama. I don’t believe for a second Romney can beat Obama it is 2008 all over again as we saw with McCain. Too many conservatives and Christians will not vote for Romney and that leaves Obama beating Romney.

I also predict Ron Paul will run third party and favor him above Romney and Obama. Ok you can zot me now ..lol.

Satisfied? I'll never be satisfied with evil/mitt. I'm satisfied with Newt, so I'm in a different bunker.

There's a certain logic to that.

My closet full of canned goods and such may not last another election
cycle and I may not be as able some years down the road.

Just sayin'...

Jim, are you saying he doesn't have the capacity to change his views over time? I mean, Reagan was once a Democrat. Don't you think the conservative members of Congress (and I realize there are few) will hold Romney's feet to the fire if he renigs on his campaign posture which at this point 'sounds conservative'.. 0bama is a Marxist. And a Marxist who hides behind a race card. Romney won't have the luxury of hiding behind ANYTHING if he renigs, because he's white. If we fill the House and Senate with CONSERVATIVES, Romney will be held to account for his actions, do you not agree (Boehner has GOT to go too).

And to you other FReepers, don't dog pile on me.. I'm a NEWT DEWD but JOB ONE is for me not to do something so stupid (like not vote for the Republican nominee) that OBAMA ENDS UP GETTING RE-ELECTED!!!!

I agree that FR should not be a campaign platform for Romney, but is reminding people of the consequences of not voting for him if he's the nominee also scoffed at?

As for this being your house, funny that is not the phrase you use when your asking for money to support "your house"

That is one of the foulest statements I have ever seen posted to Jim Rob on this forum.

I hope you enjoy being a member of RINO Republic, because it looks like your time here is over.

I don't care who our candidate is.

Breitbart is past all that. Peace be with his family.
I don't care either, but Romney could never be my candidate.
