Apr 13, 2012 Colombia President: Obama Visit Smart Move to Sway Hispanic Vote
ABC News Reena Ninan, Mary Bruce and Jon Garcia
CARTAGENA, Colombia Colombias President Juan Manuel Santos tells ABC News he believes President Obamas visit to Cartagena for the Summit of the Americas is a smart move to help him win support with Hispanic voters in the U.S.
I certainly think this will help him, because the fact that he is here, what he is going to say, what we, with Colombia, are going to decide on the free trade agreement and other issues, this will definitely help him with the Hispanic vote in the U.S., Santos said Friday. I think its a smart move on his part to come at this moment.
Obama is expected to push economic issues at the election-year summit, emphasizing trade and commercial ties to Colombia, Panama and other countries that could help boost job growth back at home.
The summit also gives the president a chance to convince millions of Hispanic voters in the U.S. that he still cares about the region, amid criticism that he has neglected relations with Latin America.
With the White Houses foreign policy focus largely in the Middle East, its no surprise Santos worries the Obama administration isnt paying enough attention to South Americas economic potential.
For some time weve been saying that the U.S. should look much more to the countries south of the Rio Grande because here is where your real strategic interests lie. They are not in Afghanistan, they are not in Pakistan, they are here. Here the potential for U.S. businessmen, for trade, for every vital interest in the U.S., he said.

Obama already has the Hispanic vote.
Obama already has the Hispanic vote.
Now remind me. Isn’t the company that makes voting Machines Headquartered in Venezuela?
He’s probably taking Ballot’s down there.
Probably a good way to score some presidential coke, too.
“Obama is expected to push economic issues at the election-year summit, emphasizing trade and commercial ties to Colombia, Panama and other countries that could help boost job growth back at home.”
“Job growth” for the additional staunchly anti-white, and thus Democrat-voting, illegal Hispanics he will be letting into the country?
Or, for his dead-assed, private and public sector Union slobs?
Yeah, but machines cannot vote. They cannot lie. Besides, the votes are going to be counted in Spain.
Sure they can lie. They are controlled by software.
Obama Holder Clinton and Napolitano must be closely tied to the latinoamercano enterprises exporting agricultural products to the US. That is why the border is open.
Yeah! That’s the ticket. The “latinos” can help Barry turn America into another Columbia! The planet just can’t have too many Columbias.
Is that the white Hispanic, brown Hispanic or black Hispanic vote?
I have now lowered my respect for the Colombian President by one Obama notch for shamelessly pandering a “Hispanic” angle to favor the biggest Racist-Baiting Panderer in Chief this country has ever seen, as well as sticking his nose in U.S. Presidential politics where he appears to have no clue that what happens in Colombia doesn’t count for a hoot here in the USA.
With all the cottage industries the Hispanics are in you’d think they’d be the last ones to vote for a Commie.
They are clearly a bunch of Capitalists.
Are the Columbians voting in our election now?
Ah, I see. With him, I wouldn’t be surprised if those memories are in the not so distant past.
