Jasmine Rand, an attorney representing Trayvon Martin‘s family, spoke to Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly on Tuesday night about how the case has been unfolding. O’Reilly asked about the new information about Martin’s school records, which Rand said bear zero legal relevance to case. Responding to the issue of the Black Panthers, Rand said the family does not support any calls for violence.

I doubt Zimmerman has deep pockets so it will be interesting to see who the family targets for the free money. I think I read here that the family might go after the homeowners association for their jackpot justice, but that “gated community” of mainly apartments is less than half white, so there could be a PR backfire. Anyway, I don’t know how deep the HOA’s pockets are, and if they go the “special assessments” route, people might flee before coughing it up.
Because the Martin Family would have to be idiots to not hire or accept an attorney to represent them.
Because their child died, and regardless to the circumstances, they have a right to seek justice.
They are also in the middle of a political and racist skeet shoot, so they really need one.
