I became sick to my stomach upon hearing that Sybrina Fulton, mother to murdered Trayvon, had stated this week that she felt that her son’s shooting death was “an accident.” I understand that Trayvon is her baby, not mine, and that a grieving mother should not only be given the space to mourn and emote as she sees fit…but that her emotions during this time can lead her to say things that the rest of the world can’t quite understand or co-sign. I get that. I also appreciate that Fulton had the opportunity to recant her statement later on HLN’s Nancy Grace, stating that she believes George Zimmerman had an “intent” in mind when he approached her son and “carried out that intent.”

Evidence suggests that a 26-year-old man with a well-documented history of bias against young Black men took it upon himself to patrol his gated community with a gun and hunted down a significantly smaller teen boy even after her was instructed by a 911-dispatcher to retreat.
From what I heard, Zimmerman was a registered democrat and a civil rights/social justice activist who helped organize a campaign to prosecute the police captain's son for the assault of a homeless black man. That doesn't quite fit in with the democrat mainstream media narrative.

Zimmermann is 28, not 26.
Zimmermann doesn't have a "well-documented history of bias against young black men." In fact, he actually helped to organise an activist group to get the son of a Sanford police officer prosecuted after the boy beat up a homeless black man and it was swept under the rug by the cops.
He didn't "take it upon himself" to patrol his community - that was his role as a neighbourhood watch coordinator. One which he was fulfilling because said gated community had experienced several break-ins in the previous few weeks.
Martin was not "significantly smaller" than Martin. Martin was 6'2", 160 lbs (and that weight is just an estimate which is probably on the low side), while Zimmermann is 5'9", 200 lbs (and, judging from his pictures, it isn't the "really muscular and in shape" type of short but heavy, either).
Zimmermann DID back off after instructed by the dispatcher. However, by that time, he was being pursued by Trayvon Martin, who apparently had the intention of provoking a confrontation, so retreating did not guarantee a lack of contact.
And HUSSEIN sounds MUSLIM to me.
Attempting to get them to look at the facts is an exercise in futility.

So is mine.
My parents were very poor Italian immigrants. Nobody in my blood line was every wealthy enough to have slaves of any ancestry.
In fact, it is very likely that my ancestors were enslaved by North African Mohametans who dominated the region for hundreds of years.
If anything, my “white guilt” balance is negative.
