Andy Gibb sounded awful in live performances. One can only imagine how that hag Barbara Streisand hung in there on the duet they did. I thought the only time Andy sounded halfway decent was when singing with his brothers who carried him by drowning him out.

I wonder how long until we get to the point where there will no more surviving members of the bands we grew up with?
I am trying to think of any now.....I think all of the original Ramones are gone, other than that I can’t think of any.

One of my earliest record buys (a 45RPM, of course) was ‘New York Mining Disaster 1941’. It was the first I heard of them, but then they followed with a string of hits before kind of fading by the mid-’70s. ‘Saturday Night Fever’ brought them back to the top with a vengeance. A lot of terrific songs. Everything they touched turned to gold. Here’s a treat from the late ‘60s. That’s Robin singing the opening stanza (which, oddly, was the only stanza he sang in this great song):

I don't know that Streisand did a duet with Andy.
She and Barry Gibb did a duet on "Guilty" the title track from her album of the same name which he wrote and produced.

I seem to remember Andy and Babs singing together on a TV show once and Andy was off-key. Maybe I was wrong...

The drummers for the Ramones are still here. Tommy, Marky, and even Ritchie. Elvis doesn't count as he didn't even make one show.
CJ the 2nd bass player is still going strong.

Just pulled that up on Youtube. It’s like I’m 8 years old again. Doesn’t get any better than that.

When the Bee Gees were virtually unkown they penned a song for the star Aussie group, the Seekers. However, Judith Durham had already decided to leave the Seekers and pursue s single career so the manager rejected the song without even running it by the Seekers.
So, the Bee Gees decided to record the song themslves and that song, Massachusetts, became a big hit for them.
