ISN'T IT OBVIOUS?
This warning label (among about a half dozen warning labels) appears on my son's baby carriage: Do not fold carriage with baby inside!
It may seem funny to state something so obvious, but I suppose to cover themselves against lawsuits from people who couldn't figure out to first remove the baby, they put on the warning label.
To do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God! Micah 6:8

Stop And See
April 15, 2012
When my ophthalmologist says, Be still, I am still. I dont argue. I dont become defiant. I dont stay busy behind his back. Why? Because he is a renowned eye surgeon who is trying to preserve my sight, and he needs my cooperation. I would be foolish to ignore his instructions.
So why am I not as cooperative in matters of spiritual stillness? God considers rest so important that He built it into the rhythm of life. Without rest we cant see clearly; we begin to see ourselves as more important than we are.
After Elijahs stressful confrontation with Ahab and Jezebel, he ran himself into a state of exhaustion. God sent an angel to care for him. During a time of stillness, the word of the Lord came to him (1 Kings 19:9). Elijah thought he alone was doing Gods work. He had been so zealous that he didnt know that 7,000 others hadnt bowed to Baal (v.18).
Some of us may fear what will happen if we sit still and stop working. But something worse happens when we refuse to rest. Without rest we cannot be spiritually or physically healthy. God heals while we rest.
Just as I needed stillness so that my eye could heal, we all need stillness so that God can keep our spiritual vision clear.
Christ never asks of us such busy labor
That leaves no time for resting at His feet.
The waiting attitude of expectation,
He often counts a service most complete. Anon.
Our greatest strength may be our ability
to stand still and trust God.

Good evening, HJ, and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
He was 1.5 last Saturday, 1.8 today, so we will be back next Saturday as he is supposed to be between 2.0 and 3.0. Not to worry they said.
Thanks for the inquiry.

He Who blessed our forefathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - may He bless the fighters of the Israel Defense Force, who stand guard over our land and the cities of our G-d from the border of the Lebanon to the desert of Egypt, and from the Great Sea unto the approach of the Aravah, on the land, in the air, and on the sea.
May HASHEM cause the enemies who rise up against us to be struck down before them. May the Holy One, Blessed is He, preserve and rescue our fighting men from every trouble and distress and from every plague and illness, and may He send blessing and success in their every endeavor.
May He lead our enemies under their sway and may He grant them salvation and crown them with victory. And may there be fulfilled for them the verse: For it is Hashem, your G-d, Who goes with you to battle your enemies for you to save you.

G-d bless and keep your children safe, Alouette.

Thanks for thinking of me/us and the prayers Kathy. I am fine here; had a gust front go by a while ago. No rain and none or not much expected way out here in southwest quadrent of our fair state.
Iowa seems to be the current large hot spot. Prayers going out myself for many family under the gun from the small storms still making their way through central Kansas.

This warning label (among about a half dozen warning labels) appears on my son's baby carriage: Do not fold carriage with baby inside! The only reason they would have it is because one of Eric Holder's people did it.

Good evening, Mellow Mac...*HUGS*...glad you are safely home after all that work.
A Blessed Lord’s Day to you and yours.
A good day here so far...hoping my computer guy brings my desktop back this evening. Somehow it caught a virus (I need to have a chat with one of these virus makers) and nothing could be saved. It should be fun trying to get everything back and reloaded. NOT!
I know not what all may be gone forever...for sure a couple threads done ahead. But they can be done over. I have all my programs backed up, but not all my documents. Dumb! Thankfully I’ve emailed more than a few ping lists, etc, to myself so I can utilize them from work...I’ve brought all those home already and updated my laptop. It’s been an interesting week. LOL!

How awful! I hope you can get everything back. Our desktop has been behaving lately - we were having a problem booting it up - had to go through a system restore every time we restarted. That has stopped, mercifully, I know not why. The only remaining problem is redirects on searches - both on Google and Bing. I have no idea why or what to do about it.
Looking for an arduous day tomorrow - taxes. :(
During the Vietnam War some people became tax protesters. I'm ready to become a tax protester against the HHS mandate - a direct attack on my religion. No way do I want my tax dollars funding abortion and free contraceptives for whoever wants them! Not in this lifetime!

I be okay here in Kansas City. Just got up and the radar indicates we might get some showers/thunder showers in a wee bit.
Had a brief shower at our house yesterday afternoon but the daughters who live a few miles to the north of us had zip.
The news last night said there had been almost 100 tornado sightings as of 10pm yesterday. Most of them were out in western Kansas, I imagine a lot of wheat fields got hit.
