Free Republic Shows Us How To Give Obama Another 4 Years ( LOL Alert)
http://www.hapblog.com/ ^ | April 14, 2012 | HAP

I've never seen anything close to the hatred of Mitt Romney than I see at FR. The hatred exceeds anything I've seen or heard from Debbie Wasserman Schultz, David Axelrod, David Plouffe or anybody else in the Obama Administration. Most of the people who can't stand Romney on our side say he'd still be much better than another 4 years of Barack Obama who will never have to face the voters again. You won't find that at FR.

Free Republic Jim Robinson: "A reminder for those who are not receiving the message:

Romney is a pathological compulsive liar. Lie after lie papered over with more lies. Doesn’t even flinch when caught in bald faced lies, simply tells another big whopper to cover up or dodge the issue. Funny thing, the man actually seems to believe his own latest lies and simply ignores the glaring record of his past actions/lies. And you have true blue establishment elite RINO Republicans like Karl Rove enabling and backing up his lies. Their motivation is simply to hang on to power (and riches) any way they can.

I’ve stated many times since Romney started running for the presidency way back when that I’d never vote for him and I will not. He cannot lie his way out of his decades long record of support for abortion, Roe v Wade, planned parenthood, gay rights, gun control, global warming, amnesty, liberal judges, big government, compulsory or socialized health care (RomneyCommieCare), mandates, Keynesian economics, support and approval of TARP, bailouts, stimulus packages, i.e, every damn liberal progressive issue that comes down the pike.

Screw Romney!! I absolutely will not support or vote for a proven compulsive liar with a known record of abortion and big government socialism, liberal appointments"

Another post (Jim Robinson):

Way to tell 'em! Then on the morning of November 7th, when Barack Obama has been reelected President for a second term, we all can high-five each other and say we stopped that establishment RINO! Makes ZERO sense. .

I will vote for him in the general election, should he get the nomination, but I will NOT vote for him in the primary, even if he’s got it mathematically sewn up by then

Thanks for your courage and honesty, El Gato.

Sorry, should have been clearer. The reference was not Romney, but to Newt being the last alternative to Romney.

Sorry here too.

Nice try Mr. Axelrod, or is in Ms. Rosen? What a very stupid thing to say.

“A lot is going to happen between now and Nov. We might not even have an election.”

Precisely what a “contest” between Zero & Willard is... a NON-election.

Excellent point! That’s basically the bottom line. The fix

has been in all along and many don’t realize that.

FreeRepublic will be smaller and truer.

F’em.

We need a 3rd party, once every 100 years the GOP will accidentally let a conservative run.

We need to abandon the GOP- Doing this two elections in a row is our sign.

Oh, you were just expressing your impression and say you didn’t mean any offense, so the foul language shouldn’t matter. Well, silence is still golden.

What about respecting a person's convictions. This is like a liberal tactic- attack a person's beliefs -where’s the tolerance. The establishment ( I know Matt Drudge scuffs at that word), selected Romney. The guy for 2012 is so weak; McCain looks good about now. The ABO is causing a lot of ill will because it asks of many individuals to belittle themselves and support a person who has implemented policies against their core beliefs. How hard it that to understand. Majority of the base does not want Romney. He is the perfect candidate to run most of the conservatives and independents off. Don't blame the good patriots. Good luck with convincing us to support Romney. The nation is headed for a breakdown-either by a democrat or the democrat with a (R) after his name. Romney is sorta Obama-lite as people say. Why not put that passion to helping Newt. The contests are still running despite Rove TV.

Apathy exists towards Romney, probably even more so than it did for McCain.

Sorry, McCain did not give most a real reason to despise him. For too many Obama's policies have. We are still 7 months way from the election. Romney got to this point because of law of interest in the Republican base.

There is much that can be said or can happen from now... Rushing it to this point is why the party has been able to get past the base and select Romney as our anointed contender... but there is still a large body of the electorate who want more.

You could be right, but I don’t sense RomneyBots or ObamaBots for that mater. Mainly because this debate isn’t new here, the vitriol has stepped up, but the basic debate is consistent.

IMHO of course.

If silence is golden, why did you say an arrogant thing to the other FReeper that you dissagreed with?

Look up the definition of ‘ass” There are at two definitions and one is, I repeat, not a dirty word and not an offensive word unless it pertains to the one it’s being addressed to and that person takes offense.

Enough of this petty arguing back and forth. We’re on the same side.

We need a 3rd party

Do you think FR could agree on a 3rd party candidate? Who would that be?

I cant stand Romney either..rumors are abound of him choosing the governor of puerto Rico as his VP..I would rather have the governor of puerto Rico as my nominee than Romney..

But I must confess, I will vote anybody but Obama and pray the tea party completes the flanking maneuver on the DEMS and secures us the senate.. Then we lay the groundwork for 3rd party in 2016 and rid us of RINO’s once and for all..

Now it’s wait and see time...

We have a choice between obama or Romney. That is the only choice we have.

Little early for that statement or mindset. We are 7 months out from the election. Only a few weeks before D-Day in WWII German submarines had sunk ships right off the English coast.
Good thing the allies never thought that doomed the upcoming invasion.

So we have plenty of time to pull it together. Look at what the allies did in only a fraction of the time. There is no ONLY yet.

“Dole didn’t win. McCain didn’t win.”

No two, or three, elections are entirely the same.

Dole ran against Clinton, who was very popular although not with “us”. The economy was going gang-busters and remember Clinton ran on “it’s the economy, stupid” and so had kept that promise to improve the economy. Or at least that was how it appeared at the time. Plus the public had already slapped him down by giving Gingrich and Co. back control of the house during the midterms and Clinton was “triangulating” with them. Plus Bill Clinton never acted like he hated America or Americans.

As to McCain, he was awful and had gone out of his way many times to be a “maverick” by which he seemed to mean someone beloved by the NY Times. He COULD have been a good candidate, but he kept chasing that NY Times love, screwing over Sarah Palin in the process. He probably had the WORST campaign staff EVER, it seems to have been filled with two-faced, back-stabbing self-dealers.

Add to that the media frenzy over the “First Black President” (tm) and McCain never stood a chance.

So, what I’m saying is in the first case the incumbent (Clinton) was in a strong position for re-election and in the second the big O just out-politicked McCain mostly due to the failings of McCain and the cravenness of the media.

I get the arguments that Romney is 1. just as bad as Obama, 2. almost as bad as Obama, 3. worse than Obama, 4. neither better or worse than Obama but the country is going to collapse so let a Dem be at the helm when it does.

But I gotta say this, again, Barack Obama hates this country, hates its people. He, himself may not be an anti-white racist but FOR SURE Eric Holder is. Obama is violating the constitution on a regular basis in big and small ways. He’s lost Egypt and squandered our hard won success in Iraq. And.....he’s a nincompoop.

I’m voting “R” in November regardless of the nominee.

The GOPe was warned and still proceeded to push Romnrey down our throats, at great monetary expense and expense to conservatives and Tea Partiers. I guarantee way more people than just Free Republic will be in revolt. Mitt is a disaster both as a candidate and will be as a president, if he can limp along that far.
