Sarah Palin Hits Back At Roger Ailes’ Remark That She ‘Had No Chance To Be President’ (Updated)
Mediaite ^ | 4-13-12 | Meenal Vamburkar

Posted on 04/15/2012 3:05:31 PM PDT by STARWISE

Ahead of her Fox News special Paying at the Pump, Sarah Palin gave an interview to Breitbart.com. Discussing various aspects of energy policies, Palin’s final question was about the network’s boss Roger Ailes — and her response wasn’t exactly glowing.

The question was: “Governor, many people were disappointed that you decided not to run for president this year, but are still hoping that you might one day run for the White House in the future.

Roger Ailes was recently quoted as saying, ‘Sarah Palin had no chance to be President.’ What do you make of that?”

“Interesting,” Palin said, before continuing on to say:

I haven’t heard all of his remarks, but I wonder if he is aware that the same thing was said about me when I ran for city council, mayor, and eventually governor. No doubt many people who are told they can’t do something will work that much harder, and they succeed.

Maybe you guys should send him a copy of Steve Bannon’s The Undefeated. The theme of Steve’s film isn’t about me, but about the idea of not letting others dictate one’s path in life and never giving up when you’re fighting for something precious like our exceptional nation and our children’s futures. So, would you send a copy of The Undefeated to him?

You’ll recall that last year Ailes made some headlines following a New York magazine profile. The piece quoted a Republican source close to Ailes as saying:

“Roger is worried about the future of the country. He thinks the election of Obama is a disaster. He thinks Palin is an idiot. He thinks she’s stupid. He helped boost her up. People like Sarah Palin haven’t elevated the conservative movement.”

UPDATE: Mediaite reached out to Roger Ailes and he further clarified his remarks from last night’s UNC event in context::

He said, “When I hired most of the Republican contributors, none of them had any immediate prospects of becoming President —I wasn’t referring to any of their long-term prospects, including Governor Palin. I hired all of them because they made for good television at the time. Sarah Palin is young and nobody can predict the future.”

Here we go again. Just what is it going to take to bury the thoroughly debunked ‘quitter’ meme once and for all?

Do you honestly believe that Palin just up and quit her job as Governor, because all those nasty lefties were saying mean things about her, and hurting her poow wittle feewings?

Crikey....

The truth is she didn’t run because she had no support from those that matter........ the monied ones.

With out support that matters, she knew she had no way to run, much less to win. Some will argue her coy tease will be the basis for not receiving the support in the future.

There is a reason that real conservatives who get results like Newt Gingrich and Sarah Palin both end up resigning. The left goes after them viciously and vigorously because they are major threats, and their “allies” in the GOP throw them under the bus because they are too lazy to fight the left and too cowardly to risk being associated with someone being attacked that much. If conservative activists don’t rally around real conservatives when the left tries to destroy them, then nobody will, and you’ll never have a conservative government.

"She is most certainly electable to the Presidency. She would have won it this year had she gotten in the race. "

Please don't start this sillyness again. There is only one reason she did not get in the race. Because she had zero chance, nada, zilch, etc. etc.

Doesn't mean she is a bad person or not a tremendous asset to the Conservative movement. With two major resignations she is damaged goods. She is the Howard Dean of the Republican party. No matter what that man does he will NEVER again have a chance at a presidential run. Neither will Sarah Palin. The reason for her resignation DOES NOT MATTER. You can't quit two major political positions and run for president.

This debate has been settled by the facts

Who is behind the anonymous dissing of Sarah Palin? The first former McCain staffer outed for kneecapping Gov. Palin was Nicole Wallace. Wallace had been a political analyst for the CBS Evening News, where she became friends with Katie Couric and arranged the interview with Sarah Palin for which Couric prepared by studying with anti-Palin foreign-policy advisors who went on to campaign for then-candidate Barack Obama.

Let's keep in mind Nicole Wallace admitted she voted for Obama despite working on the McCain Palin. If Romney's people think it's okay to not vote for the Republican so that they can get another chance for their guy to win 4 years later, then let's tell them we can do the same by not voting for Mitt if he's the nominee this time.

It would take a time machine to take Sarah back in time and complete her terms to elected office.

What 2nd “major” political position did she quit?

By definition if she quit something twice, she had to have run again for a “major” political position after quitting the 1st one and succeeded. So your logic is quite specious.

If it wasn’t for Palin, McCain would have lost by a greater margin.

So true!

but she had an opportunity and chose not to put her hat into the ring.

We don't know what was done to stop her. She chose not to for a reason we do not know.

>> “Her two major resignations made her absolutely unelectable and she knows it.” <<

The American people just didn’t know it.

Palin’s reasons for not running had zero to do with her obvious strong electability; it was the inevitable course of the US economy that had to be the biggest factor. There is no way out of our nosedive, and Palin is among those intelligent enough to understand it.

precisionshootist is just one of the many Obama era noobs that jumped in to condemn the best candidate to come along in a century.

They hate what she and FR stand for, and will do whatever they can to demoralize, and destroy. Number them with the mindless mediots.
