(AP) WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama raised a combined $53 million for his campaign, the Democratic Party and other campaign funds in March, his campaign said Monday as it prepared to face Mitt Romney and a rejuvenated GOP in the general election.
Obama has collected nearly $350 million since the start of the campaign last year, representing a boost in campaign cash compared with recent months. He has raised about $127 million for his campaign, the Democratic National Committee and other campaign funds since the beginning of 2012.
Romney had raised about $75 million through the end of February and ended the month with about $7.2 million in the bank.
Obama's campaign had $84.7 million in cash-on-hand through the end of February and was expected to detail its cash position in an upcoming report with the Federal Election Commission.

If so this is awful (for Obama). His political team claimed he would have a billion dollar war chest for the fall campaign. Assuming we consider the major "campaign" spending season to run from labor day to election day, that means he would have to raise over $172 million a month from April through August, and that's only if he does not spend anything else on the campaign between now and then. Considering that he only raised $127 million in the entire first QUARTER, he's going to extremely lucky to even hit $500 Million and if current fund raising and campaign spending trends continue, he's only looking at between $300-$400 million going into September.
Not to worry. Once anti-Americans worldwide start buying prepaid visa cards as they did in 2008, obie will again be awash in illegal, but untraceable and nonreturnable contributions.

Last December, someone using the name “Test Person,” from “Some Place, UT,” made a series of contributions, the largest being $764, to Senator Barack Obama’s presidential campaign totaling $2,410.07.
Someone identifying himself as “Jockim Alberton,” from 1581 Leroy Avenue in Wilmington, Del., began giving to Mr. Obama last November, contributing $10 and $25 at a time for a total of $445 through the end of February.
The only problem? There is no Leroy Avenue in Wilmington. And Jockim Alberton, who listed his employer and occupation as “Fdsa Fdsa,” does not show up in a search of public records.
