I used to respect your perspectives at FR. Now, not so much. The establishment Republican leadership are forcing the insideous Mitt Romney down the throats of tea partiers because the establishment fears the rise of the Tea Party. Do the leadership of the gop actually want to win because of nominating a conservative, or because they see little barry bastard as so vulnerable that they now see their chance to install yet the final big government 'moderate' of their non-conservative wet dreams? I believe it is the latter and your defense of that position is very disappointing.

One last thought for you: whom will moderate Catholics vote for, not against but for, when they are informed of the blasphemies and heresies at the heart of MormonISM and learn the true perspective by which Catholics are viewed by LDS inc followers? If nominated, Mitt Romney will get approximately 30% of the votes needed to beat little barry bastard commie. So concentrate on down ticket tea partiers in order to save this nation from the final assault Obama and his communist Cloward-Piven squad will mount the next four years.

>>I’ll vote for Obama, just to make a statement.<<

What’s interesting is, according to some looney, demented logic, you probably consider yourself heroic...

while others who want to do everything in their Constitutional power (via the ballot box) to stop get the America-hating, Whitey-hating, Constitution-shredding, missile-defense-depleting, liberty-killing tyrant from occupying the White House one more second than possible (such as Dick Cheney, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, etc. etc.), are demonized.

This is getting way beyond ridiculous. Shame on you.

Romney might have a chance against him, but “historic black” can’t be beaten by “rich-guy white” when all their other policies are exactly the same.

Heck, Romney couldn't even beat "old dried-up white guy" in the last primary race. He doesn't stand a chance against Obama, because politically, he's his mirror image.

To support a pro-abort, homosexualist chameleon solely because he might not be as bad as Øbama is the height of cowardice and displays conduct unworthy of a Christian.

Accordingly, I shall not vote for R0mney.

We can’t shut down Obama with control of only the House. There’s little reason to try. The House vote to repeal/defund Obamacare was nothing more than symbolic. Nothing we pass gets through the Senate. If we control both houses of Congress by a large majority, we can “run the table” on Obama and his thugs. We can even put some of them in jail where they belong.

The reason Holder refuses to answer for Fast & Furious, does nothing about the NBPP’s 10k bounty on GZ and turns a blind eye to ACORN/SEIU voter fraud is because we can’t impeach AND convict him without control of the Senate.

Newt spoke out very harshly against TARP on Hannity (it’s on YouTube) when it was introduced. He recommended an entirely different plan and approach. But he said he would have voted for it if he was in Congress, because that was the only choice available and he didn’t want to do nothing. Not really relevant because he explained how if he was in charge, it would have been a very different plan.

Awesome quote from Pope Leo XIII!

The whole idea of supporting the lesser of two evil’s is unChristian. Voting for the lesser of two evils just illustrates the weakness of faith in this country.

From the words of the late Bishop Fulton Sheen...

“human life is reduced to real suffering, to hell when two ages, two cultures and two religions overlap... There are times when a whole generation is caught up in this way between two ages, two modes of life, with the consequence that it loses all power to understand itself, and has no standard or security, no simple acquiescence.”

If it looks close in Texas I will vote for the GOP nominee, if not I’ll vote of the most conservative candidate I can find at the top and GOP down ticket.

You claim to be a conservative, yet you intend to support someone who is nearly as much a documented far-left liberal as Obama is.

Nice. As an active duty Marine,

Which is totally irrelevant to this discussion, your vote isn't any more valuable than anyone else's.

I believe the R will be less harmful to our republic.

Oh really? When both political parties are wholly dedicated to expanding the already oversized federal behemoth? When both 'Rats and 'RINOs are committed only to preserving their own political power?

Give ... your ... jarhead ... a ... shake.

I count myself very conservative, but have enough sense to stay away from “scorched earth” strategies.

Funny, a scorched earth strategy is exactly what the GOP has all but completed so far as driving out any possible conservative candidates from the primary and nomination process.

I am hoping for Newt, but will support R if I have to.

It doesn't matter if your left appendages or your right appendages get amputated, you're still gonna lose an arm and a leg. Think about it.

I agree. The right paradigm is to be looking for the better of two goods. Since both Romney and Obama are evil with one supposedly “lesser”, then neither would qualify for support.

Jim’s list pretty well confirms our position that Romney is no improvement over Obama.

Chance of being elected President in 2012: Obama -y, Romney -y, Newt -n, Paul -n.

Not a chance in Hell, IF Romney is the nominee, can he win against Obama and the media.

The only thing inevitable about Mitt Romney, is that his lying, left-wing, PRogressive Liberal record will be used by Obama and his MSM Media to completely destroy Mitt's candidacy.

It won't even be close.

The media already has their devasting adds for Romney, using the information that Jim as catalogued so ably on this post, ready to go IF Romney wins the election.

Your boy has zero electability.

The states/regions he has run strong in in the primaries are the places guaranteed to go to Obama.

The states he needs to win in, he has lost in, because the base and conservatives know he is a progressive liberal, no matter how much he lies about it.

I've been urging people to turnout as never before to vote straight conservative DOWN TICKET!!

I've heard via a reliable source that the DNC is convinced by their internal polling that they can win in many previously GOP-dominated districts because of a vastly diminished GOP turnout due to a lack of enthusiasm for Romney. Everyone who loathes Romney and who cannot bring themselves to vote for him still needs to get out and vote for the conservative Congressional and Senatorial candidates. No matter whether Mitt or Obama wins the Oval Office, we're going to need as many conservatives as possible om Congress to counter their inherent liberalism.

The best way to slap the GOP-E is to show them that they might get their guy, but they won't get their way.

...the Republican Socialist is, at least, pro-business and would cause the markets to begin expanding again, causing more investment and more jobs.

I can tell you're one of those who absolutely refuses to vet a candidate's record, and simply makes up your mind based upon campaign rhetoric and sloganeering.

These were the economic repercussions the last time Republican voters elected Mitt Romney:

Mitt Romney’s Dismal Record

"As U.S. real output grew 13 percent between 2002 and 2006, Massachusetts trailed at 9 percent.

* Manufacturing employment fell 7 percent nationwide those years, but sank 14 percent under Romney, placing Massachusetts 48th among the states.

* Between fall 2003 and autumn 2006, U.S. job growth averaged 5.4 percent, nearly three times Massachusetts' anemic 1.9 percent pace.

* While 8 million Americans over age 16 found work between 2002 and 2006, the number of employed Massachusetts residents actually declined by 8,500 during those years.

"Massachusetts was the only state to have failed to post any gain in its pool of employed residents," professors Sum and McLaughlin concluded.

In an April 2003 meeting with the Massachusetts congressional delegation in Washington, Romney failed to endorse President Bush's $726 billion tax-cut proposal."

I used to respect your perspectives at FR. Now, not so much.

My perspective hasn't changed, fwiw.

The establishment Republican leadership are forcing the insideous Mitt Romney down the throats of tea partiers because the establishment fears the rise of the Tea Party.

This is what I don't understand. We are having a primary. We had Pawlenty, McCotter, Cain, Bachmann, Roemer, Perry, Gingrich and Santorum. These people split the anti-Romney votes in each bitterly contested state race. All of those people could have gotten together with Newt early on when he was obviously superior to them in the debates. But no, we had people insisting that Michelle was better than Newt with his multiple wives. Or Cain was better than Newt because 999 and he was black and would win back the black vote.

I'm opposed to Karl Rove shooting us in the back, but I also oppose the Tea Party shooting each other in the face.
