I'm late to this thread (traveling today) so maybe someone has already asked on what basis you believe RomneyCare is not Constitutional. (I am referring to RomneyCare as something Massachusetts did to itself, as opposed to Federal legislation.) If so, would you please point me to the reply you gave some time ago, or else briefly state why you think the Constitution prohibits a State from imposing this upon its citizens.

I don't know, but what I do know is that Boehner can work with the democrats, but hates the Tea Party. As soon as those people (who gave him his office) got to town, he set to work marginalizing or coopting them. In between crying spells. McConnell is worse than Boehner, and if our efforts lead to him being the Senate Majority Leader, then we will have wasted our time.

“None of the above” is quite appropriate for a Republican primary filled with candidates that could not keep their feet out of their mouths. There are a whole lot more reasons why Newt is not an acceptable candidate, not the least of which is his lack of personal integrity. Personally, I would have preferred a brokered convention with a new candidate to any of the candidates I was offered. Sounds like you’ll be voting for Willard this fall.

I think that is a doomed worldview. The idea of liberty is that you can trust free and informed individuals. I think this is a conservative worldview.

The party doesn't prevent any qualified candidate from running and doesn't prevent any conservative from voting for them.
The "party" is not the same one day to the other. It's not this unchanging monolithic abstract. It is comprised of individuals. Those in positions of power can be changed and have been.
Any thing you can do with a third party you can do easier and quicker within the GOP. Anything you can't do within the GOP, you can't do with a third party.

If I remember correctly, Virginia did a little rule rewrite and interpretation also to favor Mittens.
When my children are suffering under the draconian policies of the second Obama Administration, no way no how will I look them in the eyes and say, "Don't blame me! I wrote in Sarah Palin!"
Is that really what we conservatives have come to? Ready to dismiss a Christian's loyalty to God and His expectations of His children? It's really easy to spew talk about the Lord, but this is one of those HARD times when, if you know Him, you have to search your heart, pray, and really ask yourself if aligning yourself with abortion and homosexuality is permissible in His eyes. And then act accordingly, as hard as it is.
Country is important, but nothing comes before God. Trust in His blessings and loving care. But, the choice is up to you, of course. Just don't be so dismissive of moral and spiritual priorities.

A true Palin supporter would NEVER support Myth Romney. And I say that as one of the very earliest Palin supporters, I was supporting her candidacy months before most non-Alaskans even knew who she was (and I can prove it).
I believe it would be unconstitutional for the state to force its citizens to enter into private contracts against their will simply for simply living within a state. I might understand requiring liability insurance if you wish to register and drive a car within a state, but compulsory health insurance just to live in the state? This would be a direct violation of their 4th amendment right to be secure in their homes, papers and private affairs if nothing else.
Definitely a violation of the founding principles and of our inalienable God-given rights to individual liberty and right to self-rule and economic freedom (pursuit of happiness). It’s clear to see that Romney cares no more about individual sovereignty or conservatism or Liberty than does Obama!!

A review of my posting history confirms what I say is true. My posting history also confirms that when she said she wasn't going to run, I got firmly behind Cain, then Newt, and then Santorum (when I thought Newt might drop out or didn't have a chance). I'm still very hopeful Newt can pull something off. He will destroy the Kenyan in debates.

Then why in God’s name could you possibly be willing to support Romney? He is 100% antithetical to everything that Sarah Palin stands for. Those of us who will NEVER vote for the faux conservative do so out of strong principles. We can never allow ourselves to fall into the ends-justify-the-means RINO arguments for supporting Romney. If we do, then we have abandoned conservatism, and like the man who boasts that he is the most humble person ever born, has explicitly lost the argument.
