Dick Cheney endorses Mitt Romney

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) – Former Vice President Dick Cheney walked without assistance and spoke for an hour and 15 minutes without seeming to tire in his first engagement since getting a new heart three weeks ago.

Cheney even threw in some political plugs amid much reminiscing before the Wyoming Republican Party state convention in Cheyenne on Saturday.

He said presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is going to do a "whale of a job."

Dick Cheney is now dead to me.

We must hold their feet to the fire!

EVERY single GOPer that endorses Mitt must be removed form office and the TP sphere of influence.

Must have belonged to a liberal.

But seriously. The excerpt does not say that Cheney is endorsing Romney, and even if he does... So What?

Same here. Don’t worry, Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin are being demonized too, for daring to prefer Romney over the America-Hater-In-Chief.

It’s getting beyond ridiculous.

RINO Romney is not the candidate...they’re not preferring him to Obama, they’re preferring him to the other GOP candidates, and have done so virtually since the beginning.

As for the supposed contrast, I see little difference. He’s as big government as Ears, a member of a flaky cult who regards himself as divinely chosen by his married god who lives on some Mormon planet, and personally a thoroughly unattractive individual. In addition, 60% of Romney’s judicial appointments in MA were Dems, so even that doesn’t matter.

I’ll vote down the ticket, maybe, but I’m not voting for Romney. And I’m sure not working for the GOP this year, the way I have done in every election for years, even when I had to hold my nose or work for the VP, such as 2008. They have made it pretty clear that conservatives need not apply, and I’m not voting for VP again.

My guess is that KSanders doesn't think enough of Dick at this point to have called Dick to tell him that he's dead to KSanders. I didn't even waste a tweet to Dick Cheney about it, but he's not getting an invitation to my Arbor Day party this year, so he'll figure it out eventually.

This is one of the weakest GOP presidential candidates I’ve ever seen. Someone tell me it’s a bad joke. When Romney was governor he supported every liberal cause you can think of; the homosexual agenda, big government healthcare, abortion, gun restrictions, you name it, he’s done it. This coupled with his LDS membership congeals into a toxic mix that I just couldn’t possibly support. If there isn’t a coup at the convention and we’re stuck with him it’ll be a disaster in November.

You say Rush and Levin promoted Romney over the other candidates, and have since the beginning? You are a liar.

You don’t know what you are talking about. It’s exactly the opposite. They have done more to expose Romney’s non-conservatism than any of the talk show hosts I listen to, and I listen to their podcasts every day.

Do what you want, but cut out your contemptible lies and demonization of solid conservatives like Rush and Mark Levin.

Right gator. Why can’t everyone see how easy it is. Sometimes good people just disagree.

I find the phrase’whale of a job’ odd. I feel like its some sort of an inside joke that i wish i were part of. It just doesn’t sound like something he would say.

Also,my prayers were answered. He recovered, quicker that i dared hope for, and to have enough oommph in him to annoy the libs.Assume he’s enjoying his grandkids and able to go fishing(the rest of my prayer for him).

I’ve been in several homes of democrats, back in the day, that would have large portraits of FDR or JFK in the living room. I’m going to have one of Mr. Cheney.

Dick Cheney is about the only guy in the Bush admin to go rogue once in awhile. He is not afraid to speak out and even after his surgery, he has the guts to weigh in with his honest opinion.

This “100% everyone has to agree or else” syndrome is going to leave us in the cold. People scatter from the venom.

You don’t win by alienating people and kicking them under the bus. That is the formula for losing.

People can disagree and still like and respect each other.

I do not have any problems with Palin but I would prefer her to be a “Tea Party” candidate. I do not think Palin will jump in until next year though. If she runs I will vote for her again. RHINO McCain was a real bummer though last time. I think the Republicans will find someone else for a candidate or the Democrats will take him out.

Nope, you just proved mine. Some of us have been ringing alarm bells about this cretin for over 6 years and counting, yours truly among them. How you could be a member of FR for 13 years where Willard has been thoroughly vetted and dismissed via hundreds, if not thousands of discussions, as viscerally antithetical to the cause of Conservatism and not know or deny this fact is exceptionally curious, to put it mildly.

The fact you can’t recognize that Willard is a Socialist means that either you’re willfully blind and stupid, or a liar (or just another R’bot pimp and lemming, which is not mutually exclusive of the previous) ...perhaps even just a troll.

In any event, in case you don’t know, here’s what JimRob had to say about your idol, Willard, just this morning...

“I will not vote for or support a fricken abortionist, homosexualist, gun grabbing, liberal judge appointing, amnesty pushing, global warming hoax pushing, bailout pushing, stimulus pushing, statist, fascist, socialist, mandate loving, constitution trampling, liberty killing, tyrant. Have no idea if he actually hates America, but he has absolutely zero respect for our founding principles, our inalienable rights our individual sovereignty or our Liberty!!”

So if you have a problem with HIS position on Willard and think he has gone off “the deep end”, I suggest you take it up with JimRob.

I'll repost what I said on another thread earlier to one of these newly minted, fear-ridden, Romney Republicans, with one important addition:

Let me give it to you straight and with no varnish:

I fear a conservative movement that has totally abandoned all principle infinitely more than I fear a second Obama term. And I fear God much more than either.

We've survived evil, stupid politicians before. But we cannot survive an electorate with no principles. Especially that portion of the electorate that represents the only hope of ever putting this country back aright.

It does come down to choosing economic equilibrium (or the promise of it) over God’s declared will of what is morally sound practice.

The zinger is that by going for this worldliness instead of the Kingdom of God they end up with nothing. If the majority voted for Kingdom principles they’d get economic prosperity thrown in gratis: “Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well (Matthew 6:33).”

This economy is not going to get better because this nation keeps rejecting the God who founded and originally blessed it.
