CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) – Former Vice President Dick Cheney walked without assistance and spoke for an hour and 15 minutes without seeming to tire in his first engagement since getting a new heart three weeks ago.
Cheney even threw in some political plugs amid much reminiscing before the Wyoming Republican Party state convention in Cheyenne on Saturday.
He said presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is going to do a "whale of a job."

RINO Romney is not the candidate...they’re not preferring him to Obama, they’re preferring him to the other GOP candidates, and have done so virtually since the beginning.
As for the supposed contrast, I see little difference. He’s as big government as Ears, a member of a flaky cult who regards himself as divinely chosen by his married god who lives on some Mormon planet, and personally a thoroughly unattractive individual. In addition, 60% of Romney’s judicial appointments in MA were Dems, so even that doesn’t matter.
I’ll vote down the ticket, maybe, but I’m not voting for Romney. And I’m sure not working for the GOP this year, the way I have done in every election for years, even when I had to hold my nose or work for the VP, such as 2008. They have made it pretty clear that conservatives need not apply, and I’m not voting for VP again.
My guess is that KSanders doesn't think enough of Dick at this point to have called Dick to tell him that he's dead to KSanders. I didn't even waste a tweet to Dick Cheney about it, but he's not getting an invitation to my Arbor Day party this year, so he'll figure it out eventually.

This is one of the weakest GOP presidential candidates I’ve ever seen. Someone tell me it’s a bad joke. When Romney was governor he supported every liberal cause you can think of; the homosexual agenda, big government healthcare, abortion, gun restrictions, you name it, he’s done it. This coupled with his LDS membership congeals into a toxic mix that I just couldn’t possibly support. If there isn’t a coup at the convention and we’re stuck with him it’ll be a disaster in November.

I find the phrase’whale of a job’ odd. I feel like its some sort of an inside joke that i wish i were part of. It just doesn’t sound like something he would say.
Also,my prayers were answered. He recovered,quicker that i dared hope for, and to have enough oommph in him to annoy the libs.Assume he’s enjoying his grandkids and able to go fishing(the rest of my prayer for him).

Dick Cheney is about the only guy in the Bush admin to go rogue once in awhile. He is not afraid to speak out and even after his surgery, he has the guts to weigh in with his honest opinion.

I do not have any problems with Palin but I would prefer her to be a “Tea Party” candidate. I do not think Palin will jump in until next year though. If she runs I will vote for her again. It does come down to choosing economic equilibrium (or the promise of it) over God’s declared will of what is morally sound practice.
The zinger is that by going for this worldliness instead of the Kingdom of God they end up with nothing. If the majority voted for Kingdom principles they’d get economic prosperity thrown in gratis: “Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well (Matthew 6:33).”
This economy is not going to get better because this nation keeps rejecting the God who founded and originally blessed it.
