After the party's weekly Senate policy lunch a reporter asked the Minority Leader if now he was ready to endorse Romney.

"Yeah," McConnell replied. "I support Governor Romney for president of the United States. And he is going to be the nominee."

McConnell's announcement comes on the same day that Speaker of the House John Boehner endorsed Romney.

"As you have noticed, the party is in the process of unifying behind him. And I think it's going to be an incredibly close, hard-fought race," ..

Where's the sizzle?

Republican lawmakers announced Tuesday they were joining a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of President Barack Obama's recess appointments, reviving an election-year row over White House power. Oh!! Now that is a great surprise.

McConnell and Boehner, their endorsement is another reason not to vote for Romney.

The coalescing around Romney that you see is resignation, not support, certainly not enthusiasm. The Party Establishment has really given us a lemon. You know what they say about being handed a lemon? Find a way to make lemonade.

The best prospect with the fewest recriminations is for Romney to simply step aside and stop running.

The second best is for him to just drop dead and draw in the sympathy vote for the Republicans in the Fall elections ~ taking it away from the Democrats who have already planned for Biden to "take one for the 'bama" (whether he knows it or not, but that's the Chicago way eh).

Yep. This is another sign that the GOP-e is only about fellow elites maintaining power.

Our Republic, our Constitution means nothing to Rove, Mitch, Boehner, and all the rest of the power-lusting, arrogant, morally degenerate GOP-e.

Ann Barnhardt perfectly describes Mitt and the rest of the GOP-e slime at her recent speech in Colorado Springs. As an aside, it was the most amazing speech I have heard in decades (saw it on her site).

“The coalescing around Romney that you see is resignation, not support, certainly not enthusiasm.”

That accurately sums up the situation. The best thing (and worst thing for us as a nation) Mittens has going for him is that he’s up against the worst POTUS in American history.

WASHINGTONIANS RAUS

Rotate the Capital amongst the States, DC IS THE PROBLEM, NEVER THE SOLUTION

The Taliban was thinking about nuking DC, but decided against it, because it would be the best thing to happen to the USA since sliced bread was invented in Chillicothe Missouri.

I don’t really think the party is unifying behind Romney. Alot of conservatives are not going to turn out this November other than to vote in the Congressional races. Romney will have to work the planned parenthood meetings and global warming conferences to make up the deficit. Oh, and get Sheriff Babeau to work the bathouses and gay bars.

Here is the link to the discussion thread.

Ann Barnhardt's "Liberty First" speech in Colorado Springs.

At about the 6 plus minute mark, she starts to speak about Mitt. I have rarely seen anyone speak so passionately about the dangers our Republic faces and of the need to wake people up and have them face the reality of what is going on in D.C.

I’m afraid you heard right.

And Levin is studiously avoiding the fact that there is still a Republican primarygoing on with nearly half the states that have not yet voted. Not one word tonight. Just more preaching to the choir about Obama. Pathetic.

Hannity. Hopeless.

I gave up on Hannity a long time ago. And the way he kept up the coverage of the stupid “war on women” issue last week.

Limbaugh always plays it close to the vest but he has now obviously crossed over.

Look talk show hosts, we ALL know that Obama is bad..okay? and we ALL want to see him defeated. But please don’t treat us like children as though we need to be enlightened as to how awful another four years of his reign would be for our country.

It’s just that there are some of us who see a different path to achieving that goal.

If he did it’s cause he wants Obama to lose even if it means a RINO. Even conservatives that don’t like or trust him in their hearts are gonna be singing his praises or at least not attacking him. That’s called politics.
