"But you'll vote for a nominee who..."

Yes, I voted for divorced RR. And I believe in forgiveness. Newt is not running for the office of Bishop.

What ethical cloud do you speak of? Because Nancy Pelosi called Newt a rat 85 times does not make it so. The Dems needed him OUT very, very badly, and got a few Jacuzzi Republicans to go along with the charade. ALL charges were dropped, save one, and the IRS then informed the ethics committee that Newt WAS NOT (that's spelled N-O-T) in violation of the tax code. As to voting for Mitt, I will vote for a cement block in order to get the current occupant out, but on November 7th, I will immediately begin planning to get rid of him (politically, I mean).

I don’t care who you vote for, but don’t try to pretend that Romney is some great conservative.

I can change that to this:

I don’t care who you vote for, but don’t try to pretend that you are some great conservative.

But you’ll vote for a nominee who is twice divorced after getting caught cheating on his former wives (which also says something about the women involved) but who now says that he has found religion?

Israel did. OTOH, of course, I believe Netanyahu's publicly admitted adulterous affair happened during his current (third) marriage, and I have no idea whether Netanyahu is or claims to be religious. (BTW, just because Mitt's besetting temptation doesn't seem to be sexual, doesn't mean he's pure -- he seems more susceptible to the temptation of serving Mammon.)

Or you will support one who has taken millions of dollars from special interest groups but for which the consultant Statement of Work or contract deliverables are missing?

I believe anyone in business in a service industry takes whatever business he can get. And I'm not sure consulting contracts ordinarily -- or ever -- specify "deliverables" as merchandise contracts do.

Or a nominee who has a huge ethical cloud hanging over his head, the details of which would surely drip out?

You been listening to Mitt's version? The Dems' trumped up charges were disappeared into the mist! Do you also believe -- as Mitt insists -- that Newt's own party pushed him out "for not being conservative enough"; undoubtedly why Hastert the Ineffectual replaced him. (I sometimes wonder if Mitt knows what "conservative" means.)

And what if, just for kicks, Romney is the nominee? You would take your vote and stay home?

Personally I plan to write in Newt. But I'm in Boston (no doubt has something to do with why I'm so opposed to Romney), and Obama will carry MA no matter what I do.

If you really wanted to get rid of Obama and vote for a liberal at the same time, you should have been voting in the Democrat primary.

Stop pretending the choices in your head are viable.

My choice is not to participate. Along with tens of millions of others.

Tens of millions of others? LOL just like before Obama was elected

Don't participate terrific, I applaud that choice. But stop pretending it's superior to the rest of society that will.
