Oh do I understand!!! We don’t have a freezer, so I took my week vacay the week before the wedding—TO BAKE—BAKING PALOOZA!!! I borrowed and labeled every flat bottom Rubbermaid container. I truly bare baking scars (on my right arm where I managed to bump hot cookie sheets repetitively).
It was nuts. I am nuts...

LOL!!!!That was my next plan! I was going to take off that week to bake the more fragile cookies like ladylocks, cream wafers and French Macarons, but it looks like I’ll be doing more. I feel tired out already...................
You probably didn’t hear the WPGB news. They pkayed a sound bite of Romney talking about how he needs to win PA. I wish I had registered R just so I coukd vote for Newt in the primary.
BTW Ted Nugent has things in his past, like peeing on the Alamo , that I don’t like but I agree with him and his speech at the NRA gathering. If BHO is elected I’ll be dead or in jail by ths time next year.

yeah-the new employee who just started working in our office part time could have had a full-time job in our front office - includes full benefits and an excellent work schedule, parking, etc. But NOOOOOOOOOOOO, she wanted to work part time because she would lose her disability. She got a full refund in her taxes. She whines all the time and she hates politics. She is a democrat, I suspect, because she doesn’t like any conservative radio. Hey, it’s MY office and I told her to bring in an mp3 player with headphones because I’m a talk radio junkie and that is what is on all day.
I am sick of whiners......
Take the Monday AFTER the wedding off !!! I was exhausted...it’s was October..two youngest had school that Monday, I got up, made breakfast & lunch, went back to bed at 6:40 (when boys left) I .woke up when HS aged son got off bus at 2:35. PaDad went to work, he was on a short day (he was still recovering from HA).
Honest...take a day to rest. I wasn’t sleeping (like you last night, I think of things too much) and I just wore myself out.

Feeling a bit woozey and still puffing a bit. I did my walk in 32 minutes but looks like I’m paying for it now, LOL! Better lay down.
Thing is there’s this little blond hottie, can’t be over 25, who jogs along part of my route. Of course it’s right when I come out of the woods and have to climb a steep, long hill. We usually meet at the same place and say good morning then she jogs up the hill, down the other side and back up. We meet again at the top of the hill. She isn’t winded at all and I am ready to collapse. Being a stupid man I try to wait until she’s out of sight....
I get college kid at work back for summer pretty soon. We agreed last summer on ear buds for all when in back (my!) office. I dont want to listen to 105.9 (male college student sports junkie); nor the HS girl’s music; and they don’t want to hear my talk radio. Now my employers have on NPR when they are in and we don’t do “buds” then. NPR is a blast. They. Talk. So. Slow. And. Methodically.

I’m at work now so can’t be on long but you’re right! They are getting married Memorial Day weekend so Mr S & I both have that Monday off - perfect!!! The day after the wedding, we are all going to meet for breakfast. Son and new wife, her family, our family, any friends who are staying, etc. Should be fun! Then the day after that, son and wife head out to Hong Kong for their honeymoon and we get to rest. I’m stressing already - and I’m the mom of the groom! I don’t know how you moms of the brides get through it!

I wonder if it’s Steve Welsh, the one who voted for Obama in the last election?
We did the same thing...except newlyweds had to leave in middle of night to catch flight to Sandals (and then honeymoon cut short due to hurricane—but that’s another story). As members of wedding party were from all over, I collected ALL tux rentals and took them back to MB in Greensburg; after like forty minutes there (my youngest son was with me helping carry stuff) we were walking to car in parking lot, and I got a text from daughter—they had arrived at Sandals. I told my son..and we looked at each other and he said “what do we now?” my answer...NOTHING!!!!!!!
(and for lunch that Sunday I had leftover cheesecake and champagne...could be why I slept all day Monday:) )
Yes, I have the radio turned down but I think she said Steve Welsh. I’m a member of the Tea party group that Tom Smith is a member of. (Indiana/Armstrong Patriots) I’ll be voting for him.
