This title is misleading. It implies that it is about cutting illegals off the public dole when instead it proposes fines for employers for hiring them to work.

How about just cutting them off the public dole?

This bill would amend the Immigration and Nationality Act and order the Secretary of Homeland Security (DHS) to develop a system for determining the citizenship and work eligibility status of all alien workers.

These laws are already on the books...requiring proof of citizenship when before employment can be granted. Employers do not adhere to them and DHS or ICE do not enforce them.

Enforce the laws that are already in place for crying out loud.

We don’t need an act to make employers cops. We need and act that requires government agency like IRS and ICE to work together to enforce law we already have. We also need a law that puts all the expense of employing someone on their paycheck; workman’s comp, unemployment, employer share social security and call those government mandates untaxed income.
