Romney to Take RNC Victory Lap
nationaljournal ^ | April 16, 2012 | Reid Wilson

Mitt Romney will take a victory lap before members of the Republican National Committee when the party meets at an annual event in Scottsdale, Ariz., this week

While Romney is not formally the party's nominee yet -- he has not clinched the 1,144 delegates required to secure the nomination, and two other candidates remain in the race -- party rules all but guarantee he will win enough delegates to claim the nomination on the first ballot at the GOP's convention in Tampa. Recognizing that reality, Romney and the RNC set up a joint fundraising account earlier this month to begin raising the big bucks it will take to compete in the fall.

And yet Romney won't be speaking to an entirely friendly crowd. While he has secured support from the bulk of the committee's members, at least two state party chairs support other candidates. A.J. Spiker, who heads the Iowa Republican Party, backs Rep. Ron Paul, while Georgia Republican Party chairwoman Sue Everhart is bound by party rules to back former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

Anyone who has not voted in their state primary yet should definitely vote for NEWT, not Romney, as the RNC doesn’t think he needs or wants your vote.

Don’t get mad, get even: Vote for NEWT!

I hate the way the RNC annoints candidates. 19 States still need to vote but the RNC will basically ignore their votes.

“An Open Letter to the RNC
April 19, 2012

I hold no illusion that my words will have any affect on the direction the RNC has chosen to take, but for the sake of my own soul, I will try…once.

Since 1856, the Republican National Committee has existed to serve the needs of its constituents. By “constituents”, I mean American citizens who have been in agreement with the Republican Party platform.

For the most part, your constituents are everyday common folk concerned with the mundane aspects of life. The Republican Party, which has become an intrinsic part of America, would not exist were it not for the average citizen. And yet, over the past few decades the RNC has apparently forgotten to whom they owe their allegiance.

The RNC has become instead a club for the Super-Rich Elite, as evidenced by Romney’s upcoming $50,000.00 per head “Victory Fund” post-coronation celebration in Phoenix.

You cannot imagine the outrage this entire fiasco has created amongst us common serfs.

Romney only has around half the hard delegates needed to win the nomination. Nineteen states have yet to voice their opinions. By accepting Romney as the GOP candidate at this early date, it is obvious that RNC rules no longer have any meaning

I sincerely recommend that the RNC very quickly reassess its agenda, because it is no longer in tune with the vast majority of conservative Americans.

We do NOT want Mitt Romney or any other Country Club RINO as our candidate. The Democrat crossover voters who have helped bolster Romney’s numbers thus far will not repeat their votes in November, and he will lose in the most spectacular fashion to Obama.

I do not hold any hope that the RNC will find its way back to the American public, and thus am looking forward to the emergence of a new Conservative Party to take your place.

After being a lifelong Registered Republican, it is with great regret that I request my name be with drawn from your list of supporters. I cannot continue to be associated with a political organization that ignores its own rules, much less the voice of The People.”

WILMINGTON, Del. - Newt Gingrich on Wednesday chastised as "utterly stupid" a Twitter debate between top aides to President Obama and Mitt Romney over the two campaigns' respective controversial histories with canines: "I have been watching the totally stupid exchanges between Axelrod and the Romney people today over dogs and this and that - it is just utterly stupid."

Gingrich said, "One reason I'm running for president is to re-arouse that conversation in the American people that... this is a country with really big problems. And we have a president who deliberately trivializes politics into junk because as long as it is distracting us from the real problems, he is better off. Because when you get to the real problems, he has no answers."

"I think we ought to be the serious party and we ought to blow right past that stuff," Gingrich continued. "I think in that context, the more serious we are, and the more sincere we are, the better we will do as a party and the better we will do as a country and I believe the American people are hungry for leadership that transcends the normal junk."

I had the opportunity to see the RNC members up close and personal at their fall meeting at the Hyatt.

This is the meeting where they voted to impose sanctions on FL for moving it's primary date.

A bunch of self important blue blood country clubbers, with weird looking greedy pulled back wives.

The mind boggling thing is the DNC is even more perverse.

WASHINGTONIANS ARE THE PROBLEM, NOT THE SOLUTION.

GOP has done NOTHING but murder the Republic going back to 1865.

GOP and the RNC need to be exterminated.

ROTATE THE US CAPITAL AMONGST THE STATES.

“A bunch of self important blue blood country clubbers”

If the GOP establishment insists and succeeds in nominating Romney, after his huge defeat next November, the whole GOP gang of fat cats will implode.

Then it will be the right time to build a new Republican Conservative Party on Goldwater and Reagan ideas, which will decisively win the majority in the House and Senate in 2014. All the RINO incumbents must be challenged by true conservatives then!
