President Barack Obama took a hard-to-miss shot at presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney on Wednesday, declaring "I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth" as he defended his economic policies in Ohio.
Obama didn't name Romney. He didn't need to. The president and his campaign have worked to make the former Massachusetts governor and millionaire investor's personal finances an issue in the election even as they hammer his economic proposals as giveaways to the rich financed by cutting services to everyone else—like financial aid for college students.
"Somebody gave me an education. I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth. Michelle wasn't. But somebody gave us a chance," Obama said in a speech at Lorain County Community College in Elyria, Ohio. "Right now we have two competing visions of our future, and the choice could not be clearer," said the president. "Should we settle for an economy where a few people do really well and then a growing number are struggling to get by?"

When in America did it become wrong to be successful. While I detest families like the Kennedy's who have never had to work a day in their lives, its the lack of character. that bothers me not the money. Do I have to starve my children and feed them dog, so they don't get accused of having had a silver spoon in their mouth? From Obama it's just hypocrisy anyhow - he never worked a honest days work in his life. And that's a lesson you can get no matter how you were born.

ABSOLUTELY, I didn’t qualify for a Foreign Aid, Fullbright Scholarship to go to college at the expense of American Taxpayers, and being a FOREIGNER at that. Some of us had to PAY back our National Defense Student Loans
