Tea Party favorite Rep. Allen West, R-Fla., isn’t backing down from comments he made at a fundraiser two weeks ago calling members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, including former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, “communists.” In fact, he’s coming out swinging.
West received considerable media criticism for his remarks, and the CPC immediately denounced him and denied it has connections with the Communist Party USA, Democratic Socialists of America or any other socialist group.
“We completely disavow it,” Jennifer Gore, communications director for CPC Chairman Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., said.
Many on the left accused him of evoking the “ghost of Joe McCarthy’s ulcerous accusation.”
Various members of the CPC have maintained unofficial ties with the DSA over the years, and the DSA formerly maintained a page dedicated to supporting much of the CPC’s agenda on its website until a few years ago.
“I don’t regret it whatsoever,” West told Red Alert Politics Tuesday at a Capitol Hill event sponsored by a new congressional organization calling itself Conversations with Conservatives. “I think that if you were to take the time to study the political spectrum of ideologies at the turn of the century, American communists renamed themselves as progressives.
“If you study the Woodrow Wilson, people referred to the Woodrow Wilson administration as ‘a progressive administration,’” West continued. “Now I would hope maybe you in media would do a little bit of research and look at political ideologies and what they stand for.”

Too bad. Show her all the negatives about NOW, how they are so detremental to women, does she really need them to assert herself as a woman, etc. She’ll come around when she sees the contrasts between herself and them.
Show her a picture of Betty Freidan (sp) Now dead but a typical NAG.
Good luck. Maybe she’ll eventually realize she’s advancing an ugly, destructive agenda and is being used to accomplish that for some very nasty people.

Speaking of that, a little story:
About 5 years ago I happened to park next to a nice looking lady in her 30’s. She had a “When Clinton Lied, Nobody Died” bumper sticker on her car.
I remarked to her that “Bill Clinton would certainly appreciate your support”.
She smiled and said “ I think he would, too”.
Then I hit her with this: “Monaca Lewinski is out of his life now but I’d bet he’d love to spend 15 minutes alone with you and express that gratitude in a personal way”.
She flipped me off and called me a nasty name and huffed off.
I couldn’t help it.
“These are fundamental principles of Communism. With no more than half a dozen euphemisms they are the foundations of contemporary progressivism as well. These principles used to be whispered guiltily; now they are proclaimed loudly in the highest offices of the land. West is absolutely right.”
Absolutely agree with you and well stated. The fact that what you state is not so obvious to the masses must be attributed to the “deliberate dumbing down of America.”
I pray Col West leadership invigorates others to pick up the ball and carry this message forward with strength and repetition

How about this excellent comic book about communism? All american kids should read it:
