12 students and none of them took action against the teacher. The lesson to be learned by these students is that you don’t stand about and meekly watch your peers get shot at.
1 - You don’t know the gun is shooting blanks.
2 - You don’t stand around awaiting your turn.
Amen, that is indeed the lesson.
Different times - Different students.
Had our shop teacher tried this stuff, which he would not have, there would have quickly been a screw-driver up his gut or a hammer smashing into his head.
This kind of thing would not even been contemplated back in the day - late '60s.
And, ironic as it is, our teacher, Mr. Henis, was known to carry a .38 Chiefs Special in his right front pocket sometimes.
Nobody ever questioned him about it. He taught auto shop and drivers ed. Nicest guy you'd ever want to meet.
He damn sure would never pull a stunt like this.
