(CBS/AP) SANFORD, Fla. - A judge has granted bail for George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch volunteer charged with killing Florida teenager Trayvon Martin.
Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester said he would grant the motion to release Zimmerman, but would not allow his release today, given further discussions needed about the terms, including whether he would be allowed out of state.
He also said that Zimmerman would not be able to have any contact with the victim's family, could not possess firearms; and order no consumption of alcohol or controlled substances.

I am really not sure this judge has the right to forbid him to carry firearms or to wear a monitoring device. The idea of bail is to let someone who has NOT been convicted of a crime out of jail. Since he is still not guilty the law says he can come and go as he pleases while out on bail. He is not on probation. If I was his lawyer I would raise he** about this BS. The last thing this guy needs is to go around unarmed with 90% of the blacks in this country wanting him dead.
Go BIGGER.. How about a large corporation with $$$$ such as NBC? I hope he cleans their clock to the point where they say, “Okay, you got it”.
Would not want to carry Angela around
Ah, but would Janet Napolitano’s drones be able to find him?
Glad he was granted bond. I guess liberals have been too busy crying about the “rights” of victims at Guantanamo that they forgot that ACTUAL US citizens are presumed innocent until proven guilty by a jury of their peers.
The monitoring device is a glaring weakness, as far as attempting to maintain an undisclosed location for Zimmerman’s personal safety.
One dirty or weak individual who can be bought is all it would take.
An unconvicted person can’t possess a firearm, can’t drink alcohol, must wear a monitoring device? Those are punishments. In America the accused are innocent until proven guilty.
Yup, it's Capitol city - Detroit.
Uganda and Detroit seem to have similar societies.
What do they have in common?
Diversity.
The Diversity tends to loot and riot a lot.
LOL
No....Deetroit.
Anyone notice that in earlier pictures he looked much whiter?
The gatherings look similar in both places.
AAAAAAAAAHHHHHh.... What's happening to our country?
Hosanna to the King. Please get us outta here.
That would have been awesome!
He got caught with barrels of quaaludes coming from Colombia in 1984 and turned rat for the DEA
He used his connections to gather evidence on the Medellin Cartel leading to many indictments against Escobar, Ochoas, Gacha etc.
He was a braggart about it and claimed he could see a Colombian coming a mile away and he would be ready. A local Fed judge in Louisiana was angry at his very light sentence in Southern District Florida and banned his bodyguards from carrying guns as “constructive possession” which was pretty crazy actually come to think of it.
Seal was blasted to kingdom come in the parking lot of his halfway house at night not long afterwards by several Colombians sent rumor had it by then fairly young Fabio Ochoa who was incensed at Seal's personal betrayal and public insults.
That is the law and it can be applied to Zimmerman too...no firearms within your access.
It's vague. Liddy flaunts it publicly but there is a risk.
3 years minimum sentence, likely more.
I think judges overstep when they bar accused and not convicted folks but I guess no one has challenged that enough.
I was in Colombia in these years...arguably the Cartel's strongest times.
I believe that was a “Big Mac Attack” that did in Barry Seal. Multiple Ingraham Mac-10s if I recall the history correctly. A pistol might have given him an edge, but maybe not. But it is a way for a judge to pin a target to a person under court control, to forbid him access to defensive firearms while a bounty is on your head, from the cartels then or the black panthers today.
