Bank of America to McMillan Rifles: 'Drop dead'
The Truth About Guns ^ | 4/20/12 | Zimmerman

Posted on 04/20/2012 12:28:36 PM PDT by pabianice

[UPDATE: In an email late this evening, Ryan McMillan has confirmed the validity of this story.]

When the Bank of America was founded back in 1904, no one ever thought that it would one day truly be the Bank of America. As in (partially) government owned. Just like Government Motors, Chrysler, the entire student loan industry and more, the federal government’s insatiable grasping tentacles are woven throughout one of the world’s largest commercial bank and brokerage operations. And as has always been true, if you take the king’s shilling, you’re damned well going to do his bidding. The folks at McMillan found out recently that means some kinds of business are no longer wanted . . .

From McMillan’s Facebook page via reddit:

Today Mr. Ray Fox, Senior Vice President, Marlet Manager, Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking came to my office. He scheduled the meeting as an “account analysis” meeting in order to evaluate the two lines of credit we have with them. He spent 5 minutes talking about how McMillan has changed in the last 5 years and have become more of a firearms manufacturer than a supplier of accessories. At this point I interrupted him and asked “Can I possibly save you some time so that you don’t waste your breath? What you are going to tell me is that because we are in the firearms manufacturing business you no longer want my business.” “That is correct” he says. I replied “That is okay, we will move our accounts as soon as possible. We can find a 2nd Amendment friendly bank that will be glad to have our business. You won’t mind if I tell the NRA, SCI and everyone one I know that BofA is not firearms industry friendly?” “You have to do what you must” he said. “So you are telling me this is a politically motivated decision, is that right?” Mr Fox confirmed that it was. At which point I told him that the meeting was over and there was nothing let for him to say.

I think it is import for all Americans who believe in and support our 2nd amendment right to keep and bare arms should know when a business does not support these rights. What you do with that knowledge is up to you. When I don’t agree with a business’ political position I can not in good conscience support them. We will soon no longer be accepting Bank of America credit cards as payment for our products. Kelly D. I have no friends — none — that are over 55 and have not been laid-off from their long-time jobs and replaced with workers who cost the company less. If there is another special interest group that needs forming, it’s us: Over 55 and Screwed Out of Our Jobs. Where’s OUR bailout??

“Keep and bare arms”

How about Keep and BEAR arms? Just a bit of error that bugs me.

There are over 600,000 HUNTERS in Wisconain alone.
This should be passed on to all the e-mails of those hunter organizations, IMO.

I would surely like to have gun & ammo stores also collectively refuse to honor Bank of America credit cards.

The only way to get to some of these people is in their pocketbooks, IMO.

Never, ever take any IT subcontracting jobs for BofA and their pet crook hiring front partners called the Roelker Group and Net-Tech Consultants. I regret my time with them.
Endless horror stories and Dilbert fodder.

They are cheap, lazy, whiny, lying, and those are the good qualities.

I don’t deal with BofA myself. I am a Wells Fargo (fwiw & not nuts about them either) and a couple credit unions (such as they are) person.

My timing was perfect then: I moved my business and personal accounts from BOA four weeks ago. My business account normally would incur 300 to 375 checking transations per month and maintained a balance in the mid six figures. BOA can go to hell.

Besides obama, bankamigo is the crookedest bunch of thieves in the country. I quit them years ago when they would sent out my credit card statement too late for be to get my payment in without penalties.

I am guessing what you would have to do is lower the credit limit on the B of A card first. Apply for another card then drop the B of A card. Personally, I would spread out that credit limit on several different cards.

I dropped the liberal tards back in 1999 when they threw their support for Clinton.

“I have no friends — none — that are over 55 and have not been laid-off from their long-time jobs and replaced with workers who cost the company less.”

Our economy is adjusting to “the new normal”; imagine how much less employees cost if they don’t put those miserable children on the insurance plan? Imagine how much easier it is to pay someone who will probably never have a mortgage or a (planned) child?

I know a lot of people around 45 that have lost their jobs, and they are in the same boat.

Obama will never win the upcoming election; everyone in these horror stories has parents, children, siblings, spouses, friends, etc. There is no way there are enough people watching their futures disappear that will support this Bolshevik.

I quit doing business with BofA years ago. I actively avoid programs and financing that uses them.

They were the ones that issued Visa cards in California to illegal aliens who didn’t need to show a SSN to get credit. I’d like to get credit extended without having to show my SSN, wouldn’t you?

BofA may be too big to fail, but I wish they would.

EFI, LLC will no longer accept Bank of America cards nor will we accept any money transfers from BoA.

Drop dead BoA.

Notice though, nobody in his own party is challenging, so by that alone I know the fix is in. Do you really think the Communist party (and by that, I mean all of them both official and quiet) won’t use every trick they know of to get Obama reelected?

Why else would nobody under the Democrat label run for President, unless they already had the win in the bag?

All banks are alike. Citi-Bank did it some time ago. I remember the old Bank Of Boulder offering a CD for like 17 years to mature. You put up 2 + grand and immediately you get your choice of a huge Weatherby Hunting Package all equipment included optics and all. Then in 17 years you get all your money BACK! Awesome. About 20 years ago, I finally was able to afford it and called them. The customer service person was actually embarrassed about the entire decades long promotion! Disdainful. Don't kid yourself, bankers are not and never have been your friend. I'd be interested in any pro Second Amendment bank with branches in Miami FL. But they'd have to be really pro gun and not just lip service to pick off disgruntled BOA customers. They all do that, too.

The name of that bag is Romney.
I honestly believe that a Romney presidency would be worse than a second Obama presidency; because there would be a sense of ‘accomplishment’ with changing the president people will be more inclined to let things slide... in other words, there will be even less resistance to the contraconstitutional policies and “laws”* that we have now.

* Strictly speaking, these laws are invalid and void and would be considered as “never having existed” (according to past USSC writings). However, we must come to grips that the Judiciary is NOT our friend; it has turned its allegiance from the Constitution to “Precedent” and forsake us all with its embrace of Stare Decis.
