HR347 passed House vote with 223 Reps giving it the thumbs up. The NDAA passed with Rep support too. So it isn’t just BOzo and the Dems doing all these power grabs. The whole lot of them are traitors.

“I think they’re closest to termites, unseen many times but working away to destroy the foundation relentlessly.” -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EXCELLENT analogy! That is exactly what they are to the Constitution and the founding of this country.

This the age old strategy of the left. They know they would never be able to get a bill to do what they really want, which to eliminate free speech in all its forms. So they start small, get their foot in the door with the approval of a seemingly innocuous bill about a minor facet of the issue -- and then wait until everyone forgets (about 3 months in the U.S.) and then introduce the next step claiming there is precedent set by the first bill. Happens every time. That's why, for example, the tax on wages for Social Security is now at least 10 or 15 times higher than when it was first passed. Pelosi blew it by attempting to eliminate the right to a legitimate constituency i.e. corporations. What she should have done is slip a limitation on free speech for some obscure constituency like, say, alligators (lol) into the ObamaCare bill of 2,700 pages that no one could possibly read until it was passed (we've heard that before) and then build from there. Same old strategy poorly executed.

What about unions Nancy? Ban them from politics too and I might get behind this. Otherwise go away.

The unions will be different of course, they represent "the people".

On the other hand the NRA and GOA only represent big corporate interests.

Got to read between the lines, the nitty gritty is always there.

When he’s reelected Il Douche will merely declare it so. He will now be the Constitution. To hell with Congress...and the superfluous Supreme Court.

As they say - Even a Blind Pig will root up an acorn now and then.

The Bill Of Rights applies to actual people - or at least it did for over two hundred years.

I do not believe the Founders ever intended the Bill Of Rights to apply to entities like businesses, labor unions, organizations, foundations, collectives or corporations.

The individuals who comprise those entities do have constitutional rights and protections and can speak for themselves as individuals.

The rise of the collective in our culture goes hand in glove with the leftist movement toward fostering group identity as the primary allegiance of individuals, and discouraging primary allegiance as citizens, family members and as individuals responsible for our own actions.

Extending constitutional “rights” to groups and collectives is another step toward injecting the concepts of socialism and collectivism into our culture, replacing the family and the individual as the basic building blocks of society.

OK, well, that is logical for them, to not represent those paying taxes. Plus it makes the 2nd amendment moot.

to ratify an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that would allow Congress to regulate political speech when it is engaged in by corporations as opposed to individuals."

First thing that comes to mind is The Heritage Foundation.

Governed by an independent Board of Trustees, The Heritage Foundation is an independent, tax-exempt institution. Heritage relies on the private financial support of the general public—individuals, foundations, and corporations—for its income, and accepts no government funds and performs no contract work. Heritage is one of the nation’s largest public policy research organizations. More than 710,000 individual members make it the most broadly supported think tank in America.

The Heritage Foundation is the nation’s most broadly supported public policy research institute, with nearly 700,000 individual, foundation and corporate donors. Heritage, founded in February 1973, has a staff of 255 and an annual expense budget of $75.3 million.

Our mission is to formulate and promote conservative public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional American values, and a strong national defense.

Then they will attack the churches.

How could any one be a democrat and vote for democrat Nancy Pelosi?

This is just 1 more example why democrats are statists/socialists. Why do democrats trust government to do everything and control everything even our speech?

If Pelosi and Obama had their way the USA would be just like East Germany including a secret police who spy on everyone looking for anyone who might say something against the government.
