The prostitution scandal which has devastated the Secret Service could be set to spread to the White House. A senior Republican has urged the investigation into what happened in Colombia ahead of Barack Obama's trip there to extend to presidential staff who were preparing for his visit. Senator Charles Grassley's comments came on the day that three more Secret Service agents who had been sent home over the incident resigned from the agency. Also on Friday, Mr Obama received a personal briefing on the state of the investigation from Mark Sullivan, director of the Secret Service. -------- Mr Sullivan visited the White House late on Friday to brief Mr Obama in the Oval Office. The U.S. agents and military personnel involved could face criminal charges if is proven that they had sex with girls under the age of 18. When Darrell Issa, the Republican chairman of the House Government Oversight and Reform Committee, was asked if any of the men had done so, he said neither he nor Mr Sullivan could be certain. ‘In the case of the 11 agents, the primary determination is you can’t determine to charge or not charge somebody until you know whether a crime is committed,’ he said, according to The Daily Beast.

Here’s the problem as I see it; we are being asked to believe that a dozen USSS employees, all from the same section, are all dirty. One or two, I can see, but a dozen or more?

are you suggesting this is a good thing for the WH or that they are promoting this?

What better excuse to replace guards sworn to protect the Constitution with ones swearing personal fealty?

Every single SS employee who didn’t resign when the Kenyen took office is dirty.

Our government thinks the age of consent is about 11, judging by school curiculums and the free condoms by mail program.

disgusting

Wait until the Democratic convention and look at the people in attendance and you will see why someone like Obama can be their nominee

What definition of “underage” is to be used?

US law ranges from 16 to 18.

Colombian law is 14, apparently, for the circumstances that would apply here.

I don’t think it matters what the local laws are. US sex laws apply to Americans traveling abroad.

Anyone employed by the US government can not have a sexual relationship with anyone under the age of 18 even if it is legal in another country. I do not have a link to that but I have read it before. Maybe someone else has it.

“...is this man, Obama, legally allowed to run for president of the USA....(Obama officially ineligible)”

.
Government has decided that the truth be kept away from the American people.

Ours is NOT the type of government that the country’s Founders had envisaged when they launched the Ship of State — it is no longer representative of its people regardless what our congresscritters claim.

The thing is, like minds are likely to stick together. Some of these guys had been in the SS for years. So the higher ups are “mentoring” the newer agents. So the like minded individuals are herded one way, and those that aren’t are herded another way. So you end up with these advance teams who go to these countries and basically party on the taxpayer dime. in this case it appears what did them in was getting a bit too drunk or noisy and one guy getting cheap. If he had shut up and paid, no one would have gotten found out. We’ve already seen what’s going on at GSA.
Do you think that greed, corruption, loose morals and everything else aren’t to be found at every dang goobermint agency? Congress is a cesspool, it stands to reason the rest of the government is too. I have no doubt there are plenty of awesome SS agents, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any who take advantage of their position to get away with all kinds of stuff.

Information from the article: “Committee, was asked if any of the men had done so, he said neither he nor Mr Sullivan could be certain.

‘In the case of the 11 agents, the primary determination is you can’t determine to charge or not charge somebody until you know whether a crime is committed,’ he said, according to The Daily Beast.

‘Under U.S. law, if any of these women are under 18—I can tell you we do not know and Director Sullivan does not have actual contact/picture matched up to verify that as far as I know. When he does, I would expect a call, because that would be a relief to many of us to not have on top of everything else.’

Issa stressed that it was a crime to sleep with minors abroad - although there is no suggestion that any of the men who have been named did.

‘U.S. laws passed in 2003 and 2006 were designed to prevent sex vacations causing harm to underage women,’ the Republican Representative added. ‘We have to respect some things, but going internationally anywhere to have sex acts underage is prohibited under U.S. law.’ “
