Yes, but all of that doesn’t make Hatch a RINO, but merely a Republican. And shows you just how far statist the GOP has gone.
Hatch also was involved with the confirmation of Klintons AG I can’t remember her name but she looked like a Prison
Guard at Alcatraz.
Michael Savage refers to him as Grocho Marx's grandmother getting a hysterectomy with no anesthesia.
I heard him one time he was screaming like someone on "Cops". Never listened to him again.
Oh and Orrin Hatch ushered in the worst Supreme Court Justice in American History the yenta of yentas Ruth Bedar Ginsburg!
Who mentioned CHRISTIANITY???
This is a fact that MANY Mormons are coming to realize...
Janet Reno
As Larry the Cable Guy says...”Janet Reno in a negligee would make Ray Charles flinch”——or words to that effect.
Hatch is also saying that dumping him would be a loss for Utah because he is the senior member of the Finance Committee. We can't be swayed by the false argument of loss of seniority. Replace the seniors with new blood and all the new Senators will advance.
After Hatch, it's McConnell's turn to go.

This is the kind of information I was looking for. Thanks, GingerC.
Good list.
I believe Hatch also voted for NDAA, which is another biggie.
I wonder from how far back into the past, that these conclusions are drawn.
Did the FF even think it POSSIBLE to LIVE that long??
I suppose so. Not being a Mormon myself I wouldn’t know the thought process.
OTOH, I see what looks to me an awful lot like attacks on Mormons here.
And THEN they'd have to PROVE they are DOPEY, and not just SAY SO!

Howdy, Ma'am!
We're from The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints...
But people trashed Senator Mark Kirk during the election in 2010 saying he would immediately change to a Democrat. So far he has been with all of the GOP on everything!!!
No one bought my explanation that Kirk represented the 10th Congressional District which is a major rat county in Illinois. He won every election closely. But won the Senate big. Sadly he had a stroke and hasn't been able to return to DC. But I met the man and can tell you he is awesome. I met Obama and saw pure evil, and that was in 2005!
As far as this guy vs. Orrin Hatch. Orrin Hatch is a RINO of epic proportions. He ushered in Ruth Bader Ginsburg the lunatic who worked for the ACLU which should have immediately disqualified her.
I've never been a fan of career politicians like Hatch, and I pray my friends in Indiana throw out that bum Lugar.
If possible look back at the Mark Kirk threads in 2010 where people wanted Obama's basketball buddy who also was responsible for the collapse of a bank but didn't get charged since he's Obama's basketball buddy, they charged Bears Superbowl QB Jim McMahon instead...
The bastard's name is Alexi Gianullious after Kirk creamed him he's disappeared which is great. This guy not only destroyed his family's bank he was Treasury Secretary for IL and bankrupted that ripping off programs for schools.
As far as Romney goes, I still will pray for a miracle and hope Newt can get his swagger back like when he won SC after telling that loser from CNN off.
As far as Romney vs. Obama, I am voting against Obama. I will eventually post the whole story on my profile, but I met Obama at a 2005 GWB Private Event spoke with Zero for 10 minutes got his auto, called my mother and told her I met the next POTUS and I saw the eyes of evil... True Story!
Although Romney makes Scott Brown look like a radical right winger!!!
When the USA was in a fighting war with COMMUNISM; a lot of COMMUNISTs got shot.

Look CAREFULLY.
Do I attack the PERSON; or the THEOLOGY?
Yes he did indeed for NDAA
The decision will be made with the influence on voters from headquarters in SLC. Has Orrin maxed out on his usefulness?
Methinks you doth protest a wee bit too much.
Great, now let’s get that assbag out! I hope it really energizes people to kick his sorry ass out.
Establishment Repubs, take note. Effing country club repubs, your days are numbered.
You can still be conservative and be in the wrong religion. No law against that. We’ll make more of a point about you being in the wrong religion if you’re NOT a conservative. Especially if you tell us you are but really aren’t.
Not necessarily BECAUSE he’s a Mormon. That’s incidental.
By George, I think you’re on to something.
“Mark Levin endorsed Hatch for reelection last year on the basis of all the work he’s done ushering through good judges.”
I was listening to Mark Levin the day that he did that. I thought to myself I’m gonna have to go ahead and disagree with you on this one, Levin. Mark Levin rarely makes a bad call, but he did on this one.
It’s “his” seat, don’t you know? And, he has said he despises those people, meaning Tea Party people. He needs to go down bigtime. Lugar of IN is another one of the same or worse type.
“Not necessarily BECAUSE hes a Mormon. Thats incidental.”
True, it’s not an issue for some; for others it’s part of the package of things they hate him for. I’m pro-Newt but I haven’t worked up to full hatred of Romney yet. And if I do - having worked with and supervised quite a few Mormons - Mormonism won’t be one of the reasons why.
CUE THE “HA HA” SIMPSONS KID PLEASE!
Would you be so unconcerned by attacks on Christians?
Mormon leaders boast of sending out missionaries to attack all Christian faiths as false, and claim that the only path to salvation is through the arcane rituals in mormon temples...the rituals that Orrin and Mitt have taken part in.
We are grateful for the 52,225 full-time missionaries serving in more than 150 countries.16 The sun never sets on righteous missionaries testifying of the Savior mormon church. Think of the spiritual power of 52,000 missionaries, endowed with the Spirit of the Lord Joseph Smith, boldly declaring that there is no other name given nor any other way nor means whereby salvation can come
, only in and through the name of Christ. mormon church temple rituals
"My young brethren of the priesthood, I testify of the majesty, but most of all, of the certainty of this magnificent event. The Savior lives. He will return to the earth (the Second Coming) . And whether on this side of the veil or the other, you and I will rejoice in His coming and thank the Lord that He sent us to earth at this time to fulfill our sacred duty of helping prepare the world for His return the mormon theocracy
."other people, who may not yield full obedience to his laws, nor be fully instructed in his covenants, will, nevertheless, have to yield full obedience to his government. For it will be the reign of God upon the earth, and he will enforce his laws, and command that obedience from the nations of the world which is legitimately his right (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: John Taylor [2001], 225).
Mormons see Mitt Romney as a key figure in the following:
Preparing the World for the Second Coming-LDS.org, April 2011
Anyone who believes that Romney isn't fully immersed in this doctrine and the Law of Consecration is a fool: The Law of Consecration is considered by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to be a "celestial law." That is, people who are living lives dedicated to the service of God, such that at judgment they would be assigned to the Celestial Kingdom, should be able and expected to live the Law of Consecration. The Law of Consecration is that, if necessary or requested, a person would give everything he has for the building up of the Kingdom of God on Earth. He would be willing to wholeheartedly give of his time, talents, and resources. Thus, the person is "consecrating" all his personal resources to the Lord.
I suggest some research into a subject before you come out in defense of it.
” Did the FF even think it POSSIBLE to LIVE that long?? “
No : )
” Hatch is EVERYTHING that
is wrong with the Republican Party today! “
“go along, to get along”
Got us 16 TRILLION in debt!!
Hatch hopefully will say something “smart” now that will sink him in the primary. I imagine Romney will come out to UT for a week to beef up Hatch. People in UT really wouldn’t want to lose their hatch.
I thought a congressman who is formerly related to Michael Dukakis was running against Hatch.
“Hatch AND CONGRESSMAN NEWT GINGRICH voted to establish the Department of Education, a federal takeover of our education system.”
It says a lot about Hoosiers that their senior senator was once Richard Nixon’s favorite mayor and now Obama’s favorite Repubican. I suspect Hoosiers will retain him with that kind of praise.
This is good news. What was it I heard about the Tea Party being dead? While I may not look at Hatch as the biggest threat I believe it is important that in deep red states we have deep red Senators and House Members. Lugar is also in trouble. They tried to spin early vote as being a Lugar advantage but 49% refuse to say they are voting for him. That is pretty bad.
I’d also like to see Jamie Radtke give Allen a run for his money http://radtkeforsenate.com/ though I’ll support Allen
if her wins. Its about principles first. If we can get people in that vote principle and will not compromise then we have a liberty firewall regardless of what happens whether it is a bad Democrat or bad Republicans who think that just because they are in power that they can spend as they wish and we won’t notice.
We need Sons and Daughters of the Revolution who will not simply go along to get along while the country burns. If we can’t elect strong liberty minded defenders of liberty in red states tell me where we are going to elect them?
Insanity! Public schools are a scourge!!
Neither are conservatives!!
George Allen has his limits, as Virginians know. He couldn’t even explain what is a Macaca! And I never knew either.
<<
Freepers in general are people who are aware of what is going on, so they assume other Freepers are too, and should not have to waste their time recounting all the info that is common knowledge as to why any conservative would want some other conservative to replace Hatch.
>>
**************************************************************
While I appreciate your eventual explanation as to why you think Hatch should be replaced, I take exception to the snarky and condescending tone of your opening remark, especially when I was very respectful in posing my question.
I consider myself quite highly informed politically and anybody who knows me at all would never accuse me otherwise. That said, I also don’t just blindly follow the pack and pile on somebody just because others label them a “RINO”. Lately on FR, I’ve seen the RINO term get slapped at one point or another on literally everyone from Jim DeMint to Marco Rubio to Tom Coburn to Paul Ryan to Nikki Haley to Bob McDonnell to Rick Santorum to Newt Gingrich to Sean Hannity to Laura Ingraham, etc. etc. etc. It’s a term too frivolously bandied about here and in some cases has been used to smear otherwise good and decent conservatives whenever honest principled disagreements may exist.
I still find it curious that a widely respected conservative organization like The Heritage Foundation gives Orrin Hatch such a high rating for conservative principled legislation and am simply wondering why that’s the case? I also realize he’s 80-years-old, been a U.S. Senator now for 36 years now, and that a good argument can certainly be made for him to call it a career and turn his seat over to a younger, more ambitious and committed Tea Party successor.
In 1998 Hatch , Kay Baily , & Lott decided there would be no witnesses to testify in clinton’s trial for removal from office . Only Phil Graham argued for it to continue . I never voted for Kay again .
Yes , I hold a grudge .
that would be the Moromnophobes
AKA Christian Taliban
Make Newt a part of your daily breakfast. Newt, for Conservatism, for when milqtoast just won't cut it.
I’ve seen two Lugar signs.....They were both in the same yard. Lots of Fire Lugar and Mourdock sign. (Also have seen many Paul signs for month, but none for any other Presidential candidate.
You, my friend, can be replaced.
Hatch is the perfect example of someone who says one thing back home and does another thing in D.C. I cannot believe there can be anyone who doesn't understand that, especially in this day in age when news travels at the speed of light and communication exists outside the lame-stream media, that what happens in D.C., doesn't stay in D.C.
During his last campaign, wasn't he booed off the stage when he misrepresented his performance? The old saw, don't count your Hatch, before he chickens is not without merit.
