My 4x4 chevy 1/2 ton has a 485 hp full roller 383 stroker that gets 10 miles per gallon, probably about the same if you pushed it off a cliff.:)

currently 43 deg. check our local news paper and they have no warning at all.. calling for snow next Mon. Tues and Thurs. but just looks like flurries..slow rain all day...nothing to amount to much at least not at our house. we are in the mountains, and everything is nice and green..have our garden plowed 2x and ready to take the Troy on it next...getting ready to plant potatoes.. one of the mildest Winters I can recall, we quit using our wood burner in Feb. damn hope we can soon move South♥

Ok, two days ago I was mowing my lawn in a tee shirt. Two days from now I will be shoveling 8” to 16” of snow. Just great. We haven’t had 8” all year.

Depending on your location (see the map in post 1) and elevation you may want to prepare for losing power.

Johnstown here. Our first snow day of the 2011-2012 school year? (We homeschool so my kids don’t get snow days, but I close my office if Richland School District calls off.)

I opened up the NOAA - National Mosaic Map and I don’t see anything in the Buffalo area:
http://radar.weather.gov/Conus/full_loop.php
Now, 150 miles East of Buffalo it looks nasty, though.
The link in Post 1 has Wednesday’s date on it.
These guys couldn’t forcast tomorrow’s weather with any certainty, much less Wednesday’s.

just checked your map posted...we are right in the thick of it...ugh...
and we loose electric power here often when the winds hit...electric company has been informed that husband has heart disease and has a defibrillator that is monitored through our phone lines and I have two cochlear implants, with out my processor I am totally deaf, so they know when we loose power our adult son will be on their case big time. electric company has been very cooperative.

You know, I was going to siphon the gas out of my snow blower the other day and put it away for the year. Glad I didn’t. I guess I’ll let it sit and see if I need it again. It sure didn’t get much excersie this winter. ;))
