LOL! Thought the same thing. Even Lapdog Lindsay isn’t on. I was sure I’d see either or both listed for the morning’s shows.

I’ve followed with interest the ongoing debate on FR by those who absolutely refuse under any circumstance to vote for Romney should he get the nomination.

I offer the following metaphor:

You have a terminal disease (Obama). You are offered a temporary treatment to save your life, but with lots of bad side effects (Romney) while new treatment is in development (Tea Party). The new treatment hopefully will be available in about 4 years.

You have two choices – Die or take the temporary treatment.

It won’t even take 4 years. This should have been over by FL and he ended up having to move right and spend around 200 million to get the nomination.

The T Party is going to be more organized and harder on him then they ever were on obozo. We are the growing force in American politics. You are absolutely right, you have to keep moving towards freedom and a half a step is better than none.

Pray for America

When the quality of trolls disintegrates, it’s a sad day.

We used to have a better class of trolls on Free Republic.

Sadly, I am familiar with nasty ping lists. There was one when my candidate (Rick Perry) was in the race.

Every time a positive thread about Rick P. was posted, they came. Like vultures. You would not believe the vulgarity and nastiness of their posts. Or maybe you would.

We now seem to be enjoying the same phenomena with some newbie trolls pinging to any thread which contains positive thoughts about our country.

They are out to destroy Free Republic. I love Free Republic and I want it to go back to being Free.

The Republicans under G.W. Bush had BOTH the House and the Senate - The RINOS sided with their socialist best friends and Never cut any Government program.

The Reps barely had majorities and the Dems took over complete control of Congress in January 2007, i.e, for the last two years of Bush's term. And don't forget the Jeffords defection that essentially made the Senate 50-50 for the 107th Congress. The biggest Rep controlled Congress was the 109th (2005-07) when the Reps controlled the Senate 55-45 and the House 231-203 (one vacancy.) And when you have Rep senators like Collins, Snowe, Specter, and others, it really is difficult to do something significant like say Obamacare. You need 60 votes in the Senate.

Compare that to when Obama took office when he had a 59-41 advange soon to be 60 and 256-178 in the House.

If we have more socialism, then the country will face a crushing fiscal crisis that will destroy the economy and plunge us into chaos. We are approaching $16 trillion in debt and running trillion plus deficits every year since Obama took office. Obama has accrued more debt in four years than Bush in eight years or put another way, more debt has been amassed under Obama than under Presdients Washngton thru Clinton combined.

If we don't change course, we will be committing national suicide. We are much closer to the edge of the cliff than we were in 1994 or 2001. 2012 will be a crossroads election. The status quo is not an option.

Your wisdom shows little bounds. Unlike you I am forced to live in the real world. One where reality slaps you hard in the face every day. Like it or not.Grow up.

Who is your candidate who has at least 300 or 400 million in the bank, all kinds of name recognition, nearly enough delegates to win,a huge organization, and the best chance to take out obama in Nov? And don’t give me a lot of pap about why you can’t answer the question either.

The question for Axelrod should be “Why are you wasting time gossiping about Romney’s family vacation on twitter, When you should be running a re-election campaign?”

“You’re new.”

And in real life, I’m old. Fascinating, isn’t it.

Perhaps a $10 fee for checking members’ join dates would both solve JR’s finances and promote more intelligent discussion. What say you?

You speak for may of us Altura. When this thread stops being about the Sunday TV talk shows and starts being “hate Romney all the time” many of us will be gone.

Might be too late. I know it's late spring, early summer but the # of posters on the thread seems to have dropped; dramatically on many Sundays.

Sad.
