And yet we keep hearing about black-on-black crime because it fits the false media narrative.
When it comes to America's racial past and present, lies and snake oil are sold in many colors.
In the wake of the Trayvon Martin tragedy, conservatives in media have sought to deflect from the racism and racial profiling that precipitated his untimely death by referencing the broader social malaise of supposed "black-on-black violence."
On last week's episode of This Week on ABC, Washington Post columnist George Will said that despite the Trayvon tragedy, "150 black men are killed every week in this country," and "about 94 percent of them by other black men."
Will parroted arguments made by many conservatives, his intended point being that black-on-black crime remains the real problem our nation should address. The half-truth he spoke went curiously unchallenged by the panel -- including former White House adviser Van Jones -- largely because the meta-narrative of black-on-black violence is widely accepted in journalistic and political circles.
Bill O'Reilly, the Fox News host and one-man propaganda machine, recently interviewed Columbia University professor Marc Lamont Hill to discuss similar claims from Wall Street Journal contributor Shelby Steele, who wrote in "The Exploitation of Trayvon Martin" that "black teenagers are afraid of other black teenagers, not whites." O'Reilly vehemently defended Steele's premise that the Trayvon Martin case is an anomaly.
"Blacks today are nine times more likely to be killed by other blacks than by whites," Steele wrote. He went on to attack the Revs. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson for "exploiting" Trayvon's death in an effort to promote a "liberal" agenda -- a point that O'Reilly was all too happy to expound.
Steele's perspective, though myopic and misguided, remains pervasive and embedded in the broader social consciousness. This red-herring approach is not new,

I suspect (no I know for a fact without being told) that alcohol has a greater role in the murder rate than illegal drugs in the murder rate. Nevertheless, please find some research on the mind-altering effects of blue jeans (particularly on judgement), and then get back to me.

The murder rates are not the same. It depends on the total number of people murdered in each group.
Ex.
If the total number of white people killed is 1000 and 80% are killed by other whites that means 800 were white on white murders.
If the total number of black people killed is 10,000 and 80% are killed by other another black that means 8000 were black on black on black.
So overall, even though there are a whole lot more white people they are killing other white people a whole lot less often.
‘Blacks killing blacks at very high rates. Whites kill whites at very low rates’ is true.

The whole argument of black on black violent crime has the feeble sound of white politically correct groveling. If blacks rather condone than correct a culture of violence within its own community, whites can do little. How do whites get the standing to oppose - by word and deed - black on black violence louder than blacks?
What whites do have standing to oppose - by word and deed - is black on white violence!
So, why is that the very argument not raised when racist black demagogues scream "It's open season on black people!" or "racist profiling?" Why are establishment politicians and media so determine to censor that subject? Why?
Because there are 7.8 times more black on white violent crimes than white on black ( FBI Crime Stats Link) when there are 5.8 times more whites than blacks in the population (US Census Link). This means that the reality that they choose to conceal is that, therefore statistically a given black is 45 times more likely to commit a violent crime against a white than vice versa.
What rational human beings with the basic instinct of self-preservation can ignore that?! Whites, that do not live in the protected bubbles of the establishment politicians and media, know this instinctively and anecdotally - even when the actual statistics are kept from them.
Not until the black community and the establishment politicians & media deals with - rather than conceals and condones - black on white violence, will so call "racial" profiling end!
White people are more likely to kill strangers while blacks are more likely to kill friends and family. That’s comforting.

The MSM simply loves to exploit cases where white people are accused of murder.
Look at all the high profile cases.
Charles Manson, Jeffery Dahmer, Andrea Yates, Gary Ridgeway, David Berkowitz, Ted Bundy and Henry Lee Lucas.
These cases got a lot of attention, unlike others.
What these show is that WoW & BoB "friend or acquaintance" homicides have crisscrossed each other over the years.
Similarly WoW & BoB "stranger" homicides have crisscrossed.
BoW "friend or acquaintance" homicides have steadily been only slightly higher than WoB "friend or acquaintance" homicides.
What does standout as the MOST GLARING statistic is that Black on White "stranger" homicides have consistently be multiples higher than White on Black "stranger" homicides.
“What we find is that in homicide cases where there’s just a single victim whose murder may be attributed to a single offender, the victim racial’s category is the same as that of the offender. In 2008, that means that 83.3% of murdered white victims were killed by white offenders, while 90% of black murder victims were killed by black offenders.”

The “RATE” you mention means “precentage of total number of murders for each race”. Nowhere is factored in how MANY murders PER population.
The murder rates per population of whites and blacks are not comparable.
90% of whites are killed by whites? and 90% of blacks are killed by blacks? In what time frame?If 90% of whites are killed by whites or by anybody the population of whites would plummet. Same goes for blacks. The green would have their fondest wish fulfilled- the reduction of the population of at least whites on the planet reduced by 90%.
Just my two cents...but I would guess a tiny percentage of blacks in jail are in a stable marriage.
Welfare caused black women to have little need for low-income black men. Without a woman who loves him, a man is more likely to turn to drugs and crime.

Because there is such a thing as “Blaxploitation”, whereas there is no counterpart among whites. “Whitesploitation” just does not have the same ring to it :-)
Nor are we talking about the total number of murders, but merely the percentage of what race attacks each race.
