Rep. Allen West (R-FL) has taken intense heat from the media and the left over his statement that there are “78 to 81 members of the Democratic Party that are members of the Communist Party.” In the wake of the controversy that has resulted from his remarks, West, who was slated to be a speaker at an event hosted by the Martin County chapter of the NAACP this past Saturday, was disinvited from addressing the group.
Mediaite has more about the reasons behind the decision to axe the congressman as the event’s keynote speaker:
In Martin County chapter president Jerry Gore‘s own words: “There’s a certain statement he made about Communists.”
“That statement alone,” Gore added. “….We do not represent that type of atmosphere.”

I guess by “that type of atmosphere” he means an atmosphere in which Communists are identified as Communists.

I want the NAACP to apologize to Allen West and the Tea Party. We’re insulted by their closed minded approach to freedom of speech.
I want the Black Panthers to apologize for being thugs.
Civilized people do NOT put bounties on the heads of free citizen - Panthers owe us an apology.
I want the black community to apologize for having so many criminals among their ‘offspring’ that rational people will assume a black kid out at night is up to no good.
I want poverty pimps to apologize to Zimmerman’s family for putting this young man through so much grief - just for defending himself against a man who was attempting to murder him by bashing his head against the concrete.
And I want the MSM to apologize for equating ‘checking out a person who doesn’t live in a neighborhood’ with a thug who thinks appropriate ‘payment’ (for possibly being ‘checked out’) is attempted murder by sitting on that person and bashing their head against the concrete.

By the NAANP’s standards, West ain’t black.
Did West say that they were members of the Communist Party or merely Communists? One need not be a “card-carrying” Communist to adhere to Communist tenets. I guess the charge hit too close to home for members on the National Association of Liberal Colored People.
