Benjamin Crump Is Angry Zimmerman Is A Free Man Again

Tallahassee, FL -- Local attorney Benjamin Crump represents the family of Trayvon Martin, the 17 year old who George Zimmerman admits to killing calling it self-defense.

George Zimmerman got to walk out of the John E. Polk Correctional Facility in Sanford Florida.

He got into a car and drove away a free man after securing enough money to satisfy a 150,000 dollar bond set Friday.

Attorney Benjamin Crump, Parks and Crump Attorney's At Law, says he was not happy about the latest development in the case.

Crump says, "It is with a heavy heart that Trayvon's parents had to watch his killer get released from jail. They would rather he remain in jail until the conclusion of the criminal proceedings. However they hope that his freedom is temporary because the pain he caused their family is permanent."

During his bond hearing Friday Zimmerman who says he shot 17 year old Trayvon Martin is self defense, apoligized to the Martin family saying "I am sorry for the loss of your son." Trayvon's parents don't think the apology came from his heart.

Crump says, "His apology and testimony seemed insincere. Especially when his lawyer called the day before the bond hearing asking for a private meeting to apologize. We thought that was completely inappropriate."

It seems only his family and his legal team know where Zimmerman is hiding out. His attorney Mark O'Mara says Zimmerman has received death threats.

Many attorneys believe during the trail the prosecution will have an uphill battle getting Zimmerman convicted on the second degree murder charge he faces.

Attorney Randy Giddins, from the law firm Burns and Giddins, says, "The only witness is the person who pulled the trigger. Mr. Zimmerman is the only testimony so there is no real direct evidence as far as witness statements are concerned that can show what happened."

Crump was hoping that Zimmerman would stay behind bars until his trial began.

Crump says, “It is with a heavy heart that Trayvon’s parents had to watch his killer get released from jail. They would rather he remain in jail until the conclusion of the criminal proceedings.”

So, here we have an attorney who doesn’t support the existing legal system. Despite what has been written, imagined, or spewed, Mr. Zimmerman remains, in our system, innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Not the court of twisted public opinion. Not the race-baiting world of the Jesse Jacksons, Al Shaprtons, and their ilk. Not the court of the lame stream media.

While I’m still not certain why the parents of Mr. Martin need to be represented by counsel, I AM certain that Mr. Crump should review his training in the law.

The last slave owner died long ago. I've never done a damned thing to anyone based on race. I don't feel guilty about their personal problems, and I'm not interested in hearing their excuses.

There just won't ever be enough job openings for rappers and basketball players to make them happy.

The friends I have who are black understand exactly what I'm saying, they have said it too.

Where were his parents “heavy hearts” while Trayvon was selling drugs, stealing, getting expelled from school, etc?!!!

I think they are as phony as the case against Zmmerman... They are nothing more than media whores looking for a payday.

According the nicely comprehensive Reuters article, Trayvon's father Tracy Martin is a truck driver in Miami. Trayvon's mom Sybrina Fulton, (they divorced in 1999), is a program coordinator for the Miami Dade Housing Authority. They apparently are both on leave from their employment while they are occupied with the case.

Visions of a big payoff may be fading.

Known as the 'father of modern American radicalism,' Saul D. Alinsky (1909-1972) developed strategies and tactics that take the enormous, unfocused emotional energy of grassroots groups and transform it into effective anti-government and anti-corporate activism. ... Some of these rules are ruthless, but they work. … Alinsky's Rules for Radicals:

Alinsky's second chapter, called Of Means and Ends, craftily poses many difficult moral dilemmas, and his 'tenth rule of the ethics of means and ends' is: 'you do what you can with what you have and clothe it with moral arguments.' He doesn't ignore traditional moral standards or dismiss them as unnecessary. He is much more devious; he teaches his followers that 'Moral rationalization is indispensable at all times of action whether to justify the selection or the use of ends or means.'...

"'The organizer's first job is to create the issues or problems,' and 'organizations must be based on many issues.' The organizer 'must first rub raw the resentments of the people of the community; fan the latent hostilities of many of the people to the point of overt expression. He must search out controversy and issues, rather than avoid them, for unless there is controversy people are not concerned enough to act. . . . An organizer must stir up dissatisfaction and discontent.'"

Don’t you just find it amazing that Mr. Crump and Travon’s parents and friends seem to know so much about what is in George Zimmerman’s heart. They’ve never met the man...
Oh that’s right, he’s white so nothing else needs to be said...

If I had a name like Crump, I’d be angry too.

Very Dickensian, though. Here are some real names Dickens has used in his works:

Headmaster Creakle
Pawnbroker Crimp
Vincent Crummles
Jerry Cruncher
Mr. Cripples

Benjamin Crump should fit right in.

1) Is that a real sentence?
2) Who cares what Crump has to say, since he has nothing to do with the case?

Of course they are angry. If Trayvon was killed in self defense for attacking Zimmerman, the Martin family and their legal team’s claim to fame and payday goes bye-bye.
