Rodney King tells TMZ ... he sincerely hopes Trayvon Martin's family will eventually get justice ... but says Trayvon's case makes him realize how lucky he was to have his beating captured on tape.
Just days before the 20 year anniversary of the L.A. riots, King was in NYC promoting his new book in which he describes his journey through the violence ... from the infamous beating at the hands of LAPD officers ... to his public plea for peace.
"It's not one day that goes by that I don't think about the incident ... I get these headaches ... when I [sniff], my sinuses start burning."
Now, with the Trayvon Martin case stirring up similar emotions as his legal saga ... King says the judicial system is a "slow process" .... and adds, "I'm hoping he gets justice for his family ... 'cause he's no longer here, so for his family."

I was wondering how long it would take someone to dig his a$$ up....
Trayvon already got justice. Just what is he hoping will happen to the family?
Martin got exactly the justice he deserved, King, and though too ignorant to understand, precisely what he, himself, the wanna-be gangsta, was asking for.
I’ll bet George Zimmerman wishes his was........
... I get these headaches ... when I [sniff], my sinuses start burning.”
That’s from all the narcotics you did before and after your payout, Rodney, you buffoon.
“All I’m saying is give Peaceepee a chance...”
That's a switch! Usually he's getting the book THROWN at him!
But the part where King was not responding to the cops’ orders to comply was not shown. Only the beat down part. No different than the Martin case of media malfeasance.
20 years later and you’re still lying, Rodney.
The rest of the tape shows you resisting arrest in spite of humane efforts to bring your sorry rear end under control.
Had you just obeyed one simple command, 58 people would not have died in 1992.Reginald Denny would not have had his head bashed in with a cinder block.
No wonder your sinuses still burn. Jerk.
Whew, I was starting to worry that nobody in the black community would be pouring some fuel on the bonfire today. Thanks Rodney!
Oh please, Rodney King?????
There are untold stories about Rodney King.
One important fact seldom spoken of is that he was leading police on a high speed chase that night. The MSM said he was a “motorist” pulled over by cops. The clear implication is that it was a routine traffic stop.
He was leading police on a high speed chase that night because he was fleeing a crime scene, from which he was a prime suspect.
He was repeatedly beaten by the cops with nightsticks because less violent methods of subduing him were not working. He was resisting arrest that night. The cops think he was high on drugs, because less violent methods of getting him under control were not working.
Can anybody tell us why these stories about the Rodney King incident are never told? To this day, the story line is out there, that he was pulled over by cops, and beaten for no reason.
The "idiot" is suddenly "useful".
Wonder why no news outlet ever showed it on TV!
< /sarcasm >
Since somebody obviously wrote it for him, I wonder if they'll also read it to him.....
The cops didn’t beat his a$$ bad enough.
“King was in NYC promoting his new book.”
How many on his side of this ongoing Race War, actually buy books?
Did he blow all of his settlement money yet?
Maybe Rodney King is promoting his book because his settlement is running out?
Or maybe he threw something together and wanted to capitalize on the Trayvon Martin case, and remind people that he had his famous liberal cause celebre years ago.
I don’t want to read his book. I have no interest in what he has to say.
I am not getting what people mean anymore by, “get justice.” Apparently, it means that the other guy gets put away in the big house and rots there the rest of his life, regardless of witnesses, circumstances, and evidence.
Sicne he and Obama are illiterate, I wonder who wrote Mr. King’s book.
Anyway, Mr. King, the initial part of the tape you mentioned to support your beatings is NEVER SHOWN . . . you know, the part where you were flailing your arms around with chains that almost seriously injured the cops who were trying to get you secured. Huh? Where’s THAT part of this tape that exonerates you, Mr. King?
Isn’t it great that all these “victim” punks are crawling out from under rocks to make a buck off of Zimmerman’s bodily injuries from St. Trayvon?
I am not getting what people mean anymore by, get justice.
Pretty sure that was from the drugs you were doing Rodney, not the beating.
***but says Trayvon’s case makes him realize how lucky he was to have his beating captured on tape. ****
Yep. Cops beating down a druggie high on “Angel Dust” after the tasers failed to stop him.
Tell me, Rodney, how much of that settlement money do you still have?
Is it me or is the news media trying its best to incite a race riot??? Dragging this A**hole out does nothing but agitate the potential rioters.
“... I get these headaches ... when I [sniff], my sinuses start burning.
That, Rodney, is hell getting a foothold.
That's the cocaine, Rodney.
Reginald Denny’s beating was caught on tape.
Did he get his “reparations” from the Sharpton/Jackson klan yet?
Justice was given to Hoodie McSkittles when he got shot.
It should send the message to the thugs in Holders race that they can’t jump on someone and beat them to death without paying for it with their lives.
Screw King and Screw Martin. King should wind up exactly like Martin.
I’m pleasantly surprised that many of the article’s comments at TMZ are pro-Zimmerman. I assumed a site like that would be a cesspool of left-wing loons who believe whatever the race pimps tell them.
