On the other hand, Romney believes in a Bible-denying cult which has historically had aims for the presidency, and he thinks Islam is a peaceful religion. He is pro-abortion, even for minors without parental permission; pro-sodomite (all the way down to homosexuals in the Boy Scouts and the military); and is a tax-raiser, a gun-grabber, a socialized-medicine architect, and a global warming myth believer. I can’t forget Mitt on video bleating, “Coal plants kill people!”

Yep. Reeeeaaaally strong contrast there.

I know there are lots of reasons to regret having to vote for him, but don’t you see what we are getting if we give Obama one more day in office without having to worry about getting reelected?

>>>Of course there is a big difference. Romney is not a conservative but he isn’t an Anti-American Marxist either. Comparing Romney to Obama is like comparing Canada to the former Soviet Union.

Choosing the lesser of two evils is still choosing evil. You can do that if you want to - but I will not.

What is it you say Cripplecreek, A whiter Shade of Fail?

Rush was talking about how Democrats should be embarrassed when people like Achemadnajaede and Gorbachev bash America and you can't tell the difference.

Well Romney supporters should be embarrassed when they can't tell Mittens from Ubama (the student load thing, the gay adviser thing)

Romney=FAIL!

cc,
I spoke with our precinct leader and active Republican worker this morning. She voted for Ron Paul to send a message. Also confided she and her husband are talking about which country to move to if this one continues on its path. Most comforting, she said she now thinks of herself as an Independent Conservative instead of a staunch Republican.

THAT is what the Romney nomination is leading to. If Reagan were here, he’d be saying, “I didn’t leave my parties. They both left me!”

If the GOP wants Romney, they should be able to have enough votes from moderates and independents in both parties to drag him over the finish line, without my conservative vote. Let them carry the weight, if they want him so badly.

Mitty thinks we're insignificant anyway. Screw him. At least I have a clear conscience knowing that I haven't actively aided in the further destruction of America.

“Romney isn’t an America hating, dog eating, communist.” [Domandred] No... but he is a America using, horse eating, socialist. [AMPU]

Notice, AMPU, how the target moves for some relativistic FREEPERs, represented well by the four I copied for this post?

Previously, FREEPERS would take aim & Obama's socialistic healthcare & big govt -- and some of them would take aim @ Romney's socialistic healthcare & big govt wave still on the move in MA.

But, now that we have two likely big govt socialists running vs. each other, they have to "up" the attempt at distinctive labels and label Obama a Marxist.

He may very well be a doctrinaire or a dabbling Marxist.

(Would sure be nice if these posters actually attached some proof, some indicators, to that -- other than trying to simply distinguish their pet socialist from the other party's pet socialist)

So now you relativistic FREEPERs have gone beyond targeting socialism...that's all passe now that you've embraced it...and ruled out being able to critique the Dems for that ever again...

So it's only Marxist communism you oppose eh?

And you Domandred, of all people...who's probably ne'er condemned your own historic Mormon 19th century communism...as admitted by Mormon writers like George Givens...

Its no more of a wasted vote than voting for Romney because Romney will be crushed by Obama anyway.

With gas at $4 a gallon, I don't see too many people going out of their way to vote for Romney. It isn't worth the price.

I do hope, though, people will remember the House and Senate can still do something about Obomas totalitarianism. They can impeach, and have him removed for abuse of power.

It would appear that the only good reason to vote for Romney is because he is “White and Delightsome” and Obama is cursed with a “Skin of Blackness”.

With enough emphasis of this, it might move the Romney vote from 95% in Utah for the primaries to 99% in the general election.

When voting you are virtually ALWAYS faced with the decision of selecting the lesser of two evils. All politicians are money/power hungry pieces of sh&t that take from producers to support the parasites. The key is to elect those that will likely do the least damage. You aren’t picking a mate just trying to mitigate damages.

Time to grow up and see that this is life as it is

Time for you to stop spreading an evil mindset! Don't paint EVIL like some sorta of goodness to me EVER!!

"Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter". Isiah 5:20

You better start taking that WARNING seriously for your eternity hangs in the balance. HE KNOWS ALL and knew there would come a time IN THIS LIFE that the deceived would do just that. So don't tell me to grow up you mindless idiot - what is EVIL is EVIL - DON'T sugar coat it to me to please your master!

On the other hand, Romney believes in a Bible-denying cult

Questions put to Joseph Smith: "'Do you believe the Bible?' [Smith:]'If we do, we are the only people under heaven that does, for there are none of the religious sects of the day that do'. When asked 'Will everybody be damned, but Mormons'? [Smith replied] 'Yes, and a great portion of them, unless they repent, and work righteousness." (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 119).
Joseph Smith: "for the teachers of religion of the different sects understood the same passages of scripture so differently as to destroy all confidence in settling the question by an appeal to the Bible" (from Pearl of Great Price 1:12). "What is it that inspires professors of Christianity generally with a hope of salvation? It is that smooth, sophisticated influence of the devil, by which he deceives the whole world" (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p.270).

Brigham Young stated this repeatedly: "When the light came to me I saw that all the so-called Christian world was grovelling in darkness" (Journal of Discourses 5:73); "The Christian world, so-called, are heathens as to the knowledge of the salvation of God" (Journal of Discourses 8:171); "With a regard to true theology, a more ignorant people never lived than the present so-called Christian world" (Journal of Discourses 8:199); "And who is there that acknowledges [God's] hand? ...You may wander east, west, north, and south, and you cannot find it in any church or government on the earth, except the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" (Journal of Discourses , vol. 6, p.24); "Should you ask why we differ from other Christians, as they are called, it is simply because they are not Christians as the New Testament defines Christianity" (Journal of Discourses 10:230).

Orson Pratt proclaimed: "Both Catholics and Protestants are nothing less than the 'whore of Babylon' whom the Lord denounces by the mouth of John the Revelator as having corrupted all the earth by their fornications and wickedness. Any person who shall be so corrupt as to receive a holy ordinance of the Gospel from the ministers of any of these apostate churches will be sent down to hell with them, unless they repent" (The Seer, p. 255).

Orson Pratt also said: "This great apostasy commenced about the close of the first century of the Christian era, and it has been waxing worse and worse from then until now" (Journal of Discourses
, vol.18, p.44) and: "But as there has been no Christian Church on the earth for a great many centuries past, until the present century, the people have lost sight of the pattern that God has given according to which the Christian Church should be established, and they have denominated a great variety of people Christian Churches, because they profess to be ...But there has been a long apostasy, during which the nations have been cursed with apostate churches in great abundance" (Journal of Discourses , 18:172).

President John Taylor stated: "Christianity...is a perfect pack of nonsense...the devil could not invent a better engine to spread his work than the Christianity of the nineteenth century." (Journal of Discourses , vol. 6, p.167); "Where shall we look for the true order or authority of God? It cannot be found in any nation of Christendom." (Journal of Discourses , 10:127).

James Talmage said: "A self-suggesting interpretation of history indicates that there has been a great departure from the way of salvation as laid down by the Savior, a universal apostasy from the Church of Christ". (A Study of the Articles of Faith, p.182).

President Joseph Fielding Smith said: "Doctrines were corrupted, authority lost, and a false order of religion took the place of the gospel of Jesus Christ, just as it had been the case in former dispensations, and the people were left in spiritual darkness." (Doctrines of Salvation, p.266). "For hundreds of years the world was wrapped in a veil of spiritual darkness, until there was not one fundamental truth belonging to the place of salvation ...Joseph Smith declared that in the year 1820 the Lord revealed to him that all the 'Christian' churches were in error, teaching for commandments the doctrines of men" (Doctrines of Salvation, vol. 3, p.282).

More recent statements by apostle Bruce McConkie are also very clear: "Apostasy was universal...And this darkness still prevails except among those who have come to a knowledge of the restored gospel" (Doctrines of Salvation, vol 3, p.265); "Thus the signs of the times include the prevailing apostate darkness in the sects of Christendom and in the religious world in general" (The Millennial Messiah, p.403); "a perverted Christianity holds sway among the so-called Christians of apostate Christendom" (Mormon Doctrine, p.132); "virtually all the millions of apostate Christendom have abased themselves before the mythical throne of a mythical Christ whom they vainly suppose to be a spirit essence who is incorporeal uncreated, immaterial and three-in-one with the Father and Holy Spirit" (Mormon Doctrine, p.269); "Gnosticism is one of the great pagan philosophies which antedated Christ and the Christian Era and which was later commingled with pure Christianity to form the apostate religion that has prevailed in the world since the early days of that era." (Mormon Doctrine, p.316).

President George Q. Cannon said: "After the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was organized, there were only two churches upon the earth. They were known respectively as the Church of the Lamb of God and Babylon. The various organizations which are called churches throughout Christendom, though differing in their creeds and organizations, have one common origin. They all belong to Babylon" (Gospel Truth, p.324).

President Wilford Woodruff stated: "the Gospel of modern Christendom shuts up the Lord, and stops all communication with Him. I want nothing to do with such a Gospel, I would rather prefer the Gospel of the dark ages, so called" (Journal of Discourses , vol. 2, p.196).

which has historically had aims for the presidency

...the presidential campaign of Mormon Church founder Joseph Smith in 1844: “Challenging Democrat James Polk and Whig Henry Clay, Smith prophesied that if the U.S. Congress did not accede to his demands that ‘they shall be broken up as a government and God shall damn them.’

Smith viewed capturing the presidency as part of the mission of the church.

Nuff said? Maybe if that’s ALL that matters to you.

You should check out the racism that’s in the Mormon scriptures, though.

. Romney is not the grand slam we were hoping for. But he is a turn in the right direction. Not a conservatively defining turn, but a turn nonetheless. And he should be put on notice that he will have a very short leash.

Mitt will go down in flames. The epitome of stupidity is to run a member of a racist sect against a black man, especially with the mood of the country right now.

Obama is fanning the flames of a race war, and the mormons excluded blacks from their "blessings" until 1978 when Mitt was 31 years old. There are many conservatives who will refuse to allow the GOP to commandeer their vote for him, and once the Obama campaign really starts pounding on the mormon doctrines moderates will head for the hills.

Thank you. I’m not aligning myself with that.
