Posted on 04/26/2012 8:17:18 AM PDT by bkepley
My friends, this supposed war on women or the use of similarly outlandish rhetoric by partisan operatives has two purposes, and both are purely political in their purpose and effect: The first is to distract citizens from real issues that really matter and the second is to give talking heads something to sputter about when they appear on cable television. Neither purpose does anything to advance the well being of any American.
"At this time in our nations history, we face an abundance of hard choices. Divisive slogans and the declaring of phony wars is intended to avoid those hard choices and to escape paying a political price for doing so. ..."

So McCain’s decided to notice there are two parties again. How long til next time?
McCain can be annoying but this is truly “speaking truth to power”.
Who the hell cares what John McCain says?
The War on Women of the religion of choice of candidate for GOP nominee Willard Mitt Romney will be bigger news if he is the GOP side of the ticket in November...
The sexist history of Mormonism and Romneys own lack of women in high positons in his past political office and his businesses and his campaigns will be exposed...
Who cares what Barry is doing..
since when did reporting the other guys sins excuse ours ???
The McCain/Palin ticket was up ++4 to 10 pts
in some polls, days prior to Election 2008.
So rather than helping the GOP, Romney and
TeamROMNEY and the RNME (Republican National Media Establishment)
decided to attack Gov. Palin to throw Election2008.
Romney, and the Van der Sloot RNME RINOs for Obama in 2008
Late in October, The American Spectator's The Prowler revealed:
"Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers
have been involved in spreading anti-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election.
'Sarah Palin is a lightweight, she won't be the first, not even the third, person people will think of when it comes to 2012,'
says one former Romney aide
'The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney.
"Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a 'diva' and was going off message intentionally."
The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"Im told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palins people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romneys former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.
"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off .hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."
"Who's the Palin Leaker from the McCain Campaign?
National Review Online The publication of a Vanity Fair profile of Sarah Palin
appears to have opened old wounds in the McCain campaign.
... the source of the Diva leak was Nicolle Wallaces husband."
Shut your effin piehole, traitor!
This is a joke, right?
MaCain’s just trying to divert attention from the Navy naming a ship after Harvey Milk.
Seriously, I find criticizing Sen McCain difficult because of the horrible torture he underwent for years. He is a true American hero.
"It is time for us to screw every single
decent conservative American, again.
We will help Ikhwan to plant the 911 Victory Mosque
and then destroy Jerusalem"
Wait til he gives the blame to the GOP and not to Obama’s operatives and the DNC......
Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn occasionally.
“McCain can be annoying but this is truly ‘speaking truth to power’”
Seriously? Firstly, it’s speaking truth to a nearly empty Senate and the two people watching it on C-Span. Secondly, “power” wants him to speak truth about it, as that’s half the whole point of ridiculous accusations. Who else is going to keep it in the news but bellyaching nominal Republicans, given how long it’s been since the MSM has cared about Sandra Fluke?
Heads exploding all over the place...
Shut your effin piehole, traitor!...
...I’m sure that in addition to writing that comment here on Free Republic, you also sent it to Senator McCain himself, so that he can hear it from you personally...
Occasionally, McWackjob’s random distribution of words actually make sense.
Tell me where that traitorous sonuvabitch is today, forward his phone number to me in FReepmail, and I’ll make the call.
I’m sure you’ve got that information since you sound like a suck up to that senile turd from Arizona...
...my,my, but aren’t we in a bad mood today...fear not, I’m sure your milk and cookies will be arriving shortly...
actually, I have no idea how to contact the senator, but if you’re in such an all fired rush to do so, you do the legwork...
ANY good that McStain may have done in his life was UNdone by his throwing the ‘08 election to Comrade 0bama (which is exactly what one would expect a true Manchurian candidate to do), not to mention his attempt to subvert the Constitution with his infamous McCain-Feingold muzzle on political speech that was rightly ruled against by the SCOTUS.
The best thing that could have happened to America would have been for that North Vietnamese runt that shot McCain out of the sky had possessed better aim.
Hey punk, you’re the one suggesting that I should convey my message to McCain personally, provide the information or otherwise STFU.
McCain indeed did throw the election. When you are running against a guy, you don’t tell everyone in the MSM that he is a good family guy, and we have nothing to fear from him winning.
Good God in heaven!!!!
Exactly. What I don’t get is why some poster comes mewling about ‘I’m sure you sent that to McCain personally’ and when I called them on it, they tell ME to figure out how to contact McCain, WTF was the point?
I’ll call the miserable bastard up and tell him exactly what he is and what I think, and this afternoon is as good a time as any, even if I only speak to one of his lackeys on staff, that’ll do.
” ...my,my, but arent we in a bad mood today...fear not, Im sure your milk and cookies will be arriving shortly...

Easy Irish. What brought this on?
Nobody despises McCain more than me......well, maybe Jessup : )
