Is The Taxpayer Funding Obama's Re-Election Campaign? Republican Fury As President Uses $180,000-An-HOUR Air Force One To Fly To Fundraisers By TOBY HARNDEN

26 April 2012

President Barack Obama has already held more than twice as many re-election fundraising events than President George W. Bush did in his entire 2004 re-election campaign.

According to Mark Knoller of CBS News, unofficial keeper of presidential statistics, Obama has held 124 fundraisers - about one every three days - since he launched his re-election bid last April compared to the 57 Bush held to raise cash for his re-election bid eight years ago Obama’s frenetic fundraising schedule had prompted the Republican National Committee (RNC) to lodge a formal complaint with the Government Accountability Office (GAO) about misuse of taxpayer money.

Undignified: President Obama returns to the White House from trips to North Carolina, Colorado and Iowa. He is being accused of wasting tax payers' money on fundraising trips

The Obama campaign dismissed the complaint as a ‘stunt’ and the White House said that it would follow the same rules as previous administrations and refund the appropriate amounts.

According to the Pentagon, the Boeing 747 that normally serves as Air Force One costs $179,750 an hour to operate.

THIS is the part, the only part, that he lives for-the campaigning. Other presidents saw this part as the necessity of duty which they wanted to get done, so they could get back to the real job of being President (and that didn’t mean playimg endless golf games, taking back to back vacations, and singing Al Green karaoke-though Clinton came close with his saxaphone stunt on that one, and the silly “boxers or briefs” shenanigan). But even Cinton loved dealing with the policy part, the real job, at least as much as campaigning. Campaigning is ALL Obango loves-the warm waves of “love” from “his public” feed his ego. It nourishes him like blood to a vampire.

I signed a petition at a NASA website and am now being flooded by left wing agitating emails from “CHANGE.ORG” and I know they got my email from that NASA petition (I have a system for tracking where the spammers got my info.)

Come election time, we know all of this will be brought to bare on the behalf of The One.

I’m certainly no fan of Zero but a president has to fly on Air Force 1.

It would be appropriate to pay what it would cost to fly first class for Zero and his campaign workers. That would be far below the actual cost...but fair.

Once again the Brits move in where the American MSM loathes to tread. How many US news outlets you think will carry this?

It happens all the time. In 2003-2004, Bush practically lived in Ohio campaigning for President. So many other things to complain about Obama with, but this one is not. Perks of being current President. When a Republican President in 2020 has to run for reelection, he/she will be doing this too.

Hopefully none. Stupid story. How much did Reagan refund while campaigning in 1983-1984 for reelection? Why do we have to be such hypocrites. If this story was 2003-2004, we would be sticking up for Bush while he was doing the same thing.

John Boehner, Speaker of the House of Representatives, today demanded that Barack Obama ‘pony up and reimburse the Treasury’ for what he said were are campaign trips to battleground states dressed up as presidential travel.

He accused the Obama campaign of manufacturing a phony fight about student loans and then using Air Force One to hold what amounted to re-election rallies in swing states.

‘Frankly, I think this is beneath the dignity of the White House … for the president to make a campaign issue about it and then travel to three battleground states,’ he said.

'This one does not pass the straight-face test. You know it, and I know it. It’s time for the Obama campaign to pony up and reimburse the Treasury.’

He added that ‘the president keeps trying to invent these kind of fake fights because he doesn’t have a record’ and ‘the emperor wears no clothes’

Better watch it there Bone-er, some of us might come to the conclusion that you actually have a pair or at least, take them out of your locked box now and again, when you start taking our Dear Leader to task.

As mealy-mouthed and "mild" as those retorts were, it is at least a step in ther "Right" (pun intended) direction.

Who knows, keep this up and we Cons may consider removing our favorite opinion that you (and so many other RINO's who appear afraid of their own shadow, or better yet, the Lame Stream Media) might not be after all, full-fledged, "Girly-Guys!"

Do bears ...

Is this a question for ObviousMan?

The kenyan has a virtually unlimited campaign budget this time around and Soros doesn't have to provide any money at all though he will for appearances' sake. Wait until the last couple of months of the campaign. That Kenyan face will be 50% of all the images on the net and TV and half of the ad time and news time on radio and TV. Or more. And billboard, of course, and probably most of the graffiti.

Hillary’s husband was not one of those “other presidents,” I think. Perhaps it is a Democrat trait.

Brought to bear is the normal phrase though ‘bare,’ meaning open for all to see, kind of works, too.

Thank you for assuming I'm a good typist but ignorant of two common expressions. However the reverse is true. I'm a horrible typist and spell-check has a way of taking over when I am not paying close attention. Therefore it is safe to infer that I have at a minimum, a basic understanding of the English language.
