Let's put this to bed. We have bigger fish to fry.

Everyone please send whatever you are able to, whether it is $10, $100 or $1,000+. The DUmmies, Morons, Kos Kiddies and that crew are laughing up their sleeves. Jim may have to make this site members only or allow ads. Better for us to just help with what we can. Maybe you can donate as a memorial for a lost loved one, a servicemember who never made it home or was disabled defending our country. Perhaps you'd like to give to keep free discussion alive and to show them that we're not knuckling under. I'm sure a well thought out or prayerful meditation will lead you to see the need and how you can help. If every registered FReeper and our lurkers would each just help out with a fin or a sawbuck, or better yet a Ben Franklin, we could put this to bed and get on with the conservative cause.

Well I've been called a liar and a drunk by you two and you're batting zero!

I didn't say we never talk about FR on one FB...but very little because most people aren't interested.

Do either of you have a life? Mine doesn't revolve around FR!...so it's hard to comprehend why this is so important to you.

Seriously, how does this impact your life? What is said on FR has no impact on your or my life!

I enjoy the bantering but I can't tell you how un-important it is at the end of the day. I don't want it to become imporant to me at the end of the day!

I have spent more time here today than I am accustomed to spending but still managed to plant and re-pot some plants. And they will be here tomorrow!

Have a good evening...both of you..

But there is no way I will not take any opportunity to vote against this communist, islamist phoney in the White House. I just can’t do it.

Amen, brother. Conservatives differ from liberals in no greater respect than this: we are proud individuals, not collectivist sheep. We share common principles and ideals but often - hell - damned near always - differ on the best strategy and tactics by which those principles might be achieved. Leftists practice political correctness and shun dissenters. We ought never emulate them. Shame on us if we do.

Our primary goal must be the removal of Obama and the Marxist, anti-capitalist, pro-Islamic radicals with whom he has infected our nation. Otherwise, the America that we all love will be lost.

INDEED TO THE MAX.

Free Republic has played a very important role in past elections. I know it has been mentioned on various news programs and has helped organized a great deal of protests.
And there is a great future for FR. If Cain had not been plagued with so many scandals, he might be the nominee, if Gingrich was a bit more historically concrete he might have been. I know that Perry just got out of back surgery and undertaking a presidential nomination probably wasn’t the best thing he should have done at that time. Santorum well, he had problems also. Look here it says no profanity, no personal attacks, no racism and i see personal attacks all the time. Maybe you need more monitors to stop this belittling thing. I don’t know, but I do know Free Republic has been one of the most successful web sites in history.
It can play a very important role in the future of this country. Progressives (communists) have been at work a long time and it isn’t going to turn around in one election.
If I had my druthers things would be a lot different in US, but i think you have played a major role in the past, please don’t let it go down the drain.
But I thank you for letting people speak their mind today without the fear of being canceled
Melissa

Nah, you didn’t miss it, cause it’s not there. But I think generally, folks agree that a courtesy request before pulling and posting something from someone’s home page is the decent thing to do. Others’ mileage may vary.

but before you went into my profile and pulled and posted a picture of the grave site of my father-in-law, you might have asked for my OK.

With all do respect to you and your FIL, it really isn't clear that is a photo of a family member.

It really can be easily mistaken as a generic photo that is used to project your sentiments.....just sayin ;)

For the most part I agree with you. We did have choices early on. None of those people who valiantly entered the race was perfect. They are all politicians, have records be it in active service or out of service. Those records almost never show a perfect specimen.

But they are all not naive when it comes to what they are up against. Face it. We were looking for a hero. We all wanted this to go away and we were looking for a dragon slayer to come in and fix it all. We found only imperfect humans. Heros aren’t born, they are raised and nurtured in the political sense, and they fall once in awhile.

This whole contest reminds me of a game show where you choose a door and get a prize, it isn’t the big prize behind the first door, so you get a choice to keep it or choose another door which may be a lesser prize. But we kept choosing the next door because it wasn’t what we wanted. We never got the car or the houseboat. We got the booby prize. A years worth of Tide and the game show board game.

Whoopee, we smile, accept it and remind ourselves that we have to make the best of a bad situation, take what we get for now and think about the mistakes we made.

The really bad situation is Obama. He is the real booby prize.

This race is a referendum on Obama. It isn’t about who we choose to all the people out there. I talk to many of them. They want a living warm body to vote for to replace him.

It isn’t going to be a festive election. It is going to be seen as a task that has to be done. Kind of like cleansing a wound so it will heal.

Well, Johnny, sorry about what you think are death threats but, hey, I was told to: “eat shit and die.” by one of the fine posters on this site a few days ago.

I was also called “godless,” which was probably a big surprise to God.

When I was called ‘a first class nut’ yesterday, I considered it a compliment.

Then explain Romneycare, which is the prototype for Obamacare.

The MA Dems wanted a single payer, state run health care system, and they had a veto proof majority in both houses. Romneycare stopped that. It is the prototype for Obamacare because of the same reason....they couldn't get a completely government run health care system ala NHS passed. For MA, Romneycare was the conservative alternative. 85% of MA residents supported government healthcare. MA has the right to mandate whatever insurance they want to...people can leave if they don't like it. Romney has vowed to repeal Obamacare specifically because it oversteps the power given to the federal government.

But he implemented it and personally issued "marriage" licenses.

He obeyed the order of the MA Supreme Court....but only after the legislature failed to pass a compromise and the USSC refused to hear an appeal. He always opposed gay marriage, even testified before the Senate in favor of DOMA.

Yet he donated to Planned Parenthood and put $50 abortions in Romneycare.

He donated $150.00 nearly twenty years ago, and has since renounced his pro choice position. The $50 co pay for abortions in Romneycare was based on state law that mandates coverage for abortions in government funded health plans. Romney didn't "put it" in the health bill.

Apparently, the whole truth of a matter doesn't count on your list of moral absolutes.

We were honestly blind sided and shell shocked by our treatment. Governor Perry may not be the most articulate man in the world, he is not perfect, but he is conservative, a patriot, a Christian, knows how to attract business and a heck of an improvement over Mitt. You only have to look at Texas to know he can’t be the complete dunce his FR detractors claim he is. What was wrong with supporting a conservative?

This is a part of what gave us Mittens.

You left out that Perry, out on a jog killed a coyote with his concealed handgun when the coyote threatened his dog.

Mit lost his dog, has never held a gun but likes to ban them and was raped by a coyote smuggling illegal aliens; a practice Mit supports.
