Let's put this to bed. We have bigger fish to fry.

Everyone please send whatever you are able to, whether it is $10, $100 or $1,000+. The DUmmies, Morons, Kos Kiddies and that crew are laughing up their sleeves. Jim may have to make this site members only or allow ads. Better for us to just help with what we can. Maybe you can donate as a memorial for a lost loved one, a servicemember who never made it home or was disabled defending our country. Perhaps you'd like to give to keep free discussion alive and to show them that we're not knuckling under. I'm sure a well thought out or prayerful meditation will lead you to see the need and how you can help. If every registered FReeper and our lurkers would each just help out with a fin or a sawbuck, or better yet a Ben Franklin, we could put this to bed and get on with the conservative cause.

Welllllllll

38% would be great progress.

Most guesses used to be around 5%.

May God have mercy on us all—particularly those who truly seek Him and of good heart toward God and man.

Heck, Virgil Goode is an interesting candidate for the Constitution Party. I never thought I would even consider voting third party for president. The only time I have EVER voted third party was Libertarian when Snarlin' Arlen Specter was the GOP choice.

I held my nose and voted for Dole in 1996, I've done that routine (I didn't consider voting for McCain a nose-hold vote since Palin was on the ticket as well). But it really is something that a lot of GOP stalwarts on this site are having such a difficult time coming over to vote for the Romney camp.

But, then again, the GOP-E showed us in 2010 what party loyalty means to them when they don't get their way.

She did nothing other than promote her candidate.

The ruthless mobs that personally attacked her and slandered Perry were disgusting.

She always took it in stride and backed her self with facts.
She was not, and is not prone to personal attacks.

I think she did an admirable job fighting off the jackals

I had beefs with Cain and Newt too.

I made peace with Newt.

Cain can kiss my ass.

Cain can kiss my ass.

..then don't come back a few months later saying you were only trying to promote your candidate and were being 'nothing but reasonable'.

Bullcrap. Do you know why so many of the Perry supporters get little sympathy about how unfair FR was to Perry? Because many of them, like you, are in denial that many of them played hardball against the other candidates as well.

Should I go find articles posted by CW last fall that bashed other candidates? Or would that just be a waste of time?

that I needed 400k for servers

That's the approximate yearly budget. I don't think anyone has said that it was for servers.

I'm sorry that you missed my posts pinging Jim and stating that asking for info wasn't a bad thing.

Hope your day is wonderful.

Hey, let’s face reality for a change:

Such a vote won’t be counted in any meaningful way, because when you vote in a Presidential election, you aren’t actually voting for a candidate. No, you are voting for a slate of ELECTORS who are pledged to a particular candidate.

In other words, unless Sarah Palin in fact has a slate of electors on the ballot in your state (whichever one of the 57 your state may be), there’s no way on earth you can actually vote for Sarah.

It's actually even more hilariously ridiculous really. Palin herself is ABO, will be supporting Romney, will almost certainly campaign for him, speak on his behalf at the convention, etc. So, in effect, some people are declaring their intent to write in a candidate, Sarah Louise Palin, who will be advocating FOR Romney's election - something that is technically banned on this very site on which they post.

And as another poster pointed out, I don't think Sarah would want people canceling out her vote anyway. Palin is ABO, she isn't running for President, she has no slate of electors, writing in her name achieves absolutely nothing and she'd probably be upset that any conservative wasted their vote that way.

I was talking about throwing out platitudes like KMA then claiming you just were supporting your own candidate and being reasonable.

And that is mild compared to the person of whom was mentioned in the previous post. It was so bad at times, that I knew exactly who was being talked about a year later without hesitation even though the name wasn’t spelled out in the post above. Talking to some Perry supporters of Facebook who were also FReepers, they were embarrassed but afraid to say anything because some of the fights at the time were causing zot fests.

RC or Royal Crown Cola is a small independent Cola that is mainly on the west coast and southwest US. Its OK. Was just using it as an analogy of a ‘third position” as opposed to coke and pepsi. Actually I think RC owns the rights to 7UP now...or vice versa.

RC Cola was a soft drink that was very popular in the early 70's and much better than either Coke or Pepsi, imo. ... I believe it stood for Royal Crown??

And, it was pronounced "Arr-uh See" Cola, at least according to Brother Dave Gardner... /g

You could only pronounce it that way if you were ordering it with a Moon Pie (and I have - lol).

many of them played hardball against the other candidates as well.

Gee that's never been done before.

And there is a difference between hardball and jackass.

IMHO Perry was gang raped on this forum.

The charges where ridiculous. Nobody gave a shit about the record or the good fight he had made in the arena. Yes he stumbled due to being in serious pain.

I still to this day would put Rick Perrys record up against any of the be's or wanna be's

Now we are reduced to Romney and Obama and we are being told to not vote for Romney.

Perry has done more since he dropped out of the race to poke Obama in the eye than any candidate running has done during their entire career. That's just a fact. Perry is a thorn in the side of Obamas EPA

10-4, I’m very familiar with RC Cola. My question is (re your analogy), what is the comparable product (i.e., candidate) who is “officially favored” by FR these days? What’s the official “third position”?
