Let's put this to bed. We have bigger fish to fry.

Everyone please send whatever you are able to, whether it is $10, $100 or $1,000+. The DUmmies, Morons, Kos Kiddies and that crew are laughing up their sleeves. Jim may have to make this site members only or allow ads. Better for us to just help with what we can. Maybe you can donate as a memorial for a lost loved one, a servicemember who never made it home or was disabled defending our country. Perhaps you'd like to give to keep free discussion alive and to show them that we're not knuckling under. I'm sure a well thought out or prayerful meditation will lead you to see the need and how you can help. If every registered FReeper and our lurkers would each just help out with a fin or a sawbuck, or better yet a Ben Franklin, we could put this to bed and get on with the conservative cause.

You are welcome! I like your backbone!

In time, perhaps dialogue can return to FR.

Right now we are off doing what the dems, libs, RINOs and the LAM want us to do.

Once we stop playing from their puppet string, define the main problem and unify, we will be a force that will be unstoppable.

But first we have to sever the puppet strings - - - .

I just voted in early voting for the NC primary on May 8. I selected Newt for the candidate even though he has said he is dropping out. It was my way of poking a sharp stick in the eye of the GOP who, it appears, is going to foist another RINO Moderate on us come November. If it was anyone else but Obama - who MUST be defeated - I would even consider writing in Newt in the general election. Hopefully, if Mitt is elected, the other REAL conservatives in Congress can keep him in check and if he proves to be the snake in the grass that he gives all indications that he is, we will have to rise up and put a genuine Conservative in the race to kick the Mitt out. I fear for my beloved country!

Right! What we have is a bunch of image-conscious, guilt-ridden, Republicans, and they have come to expect, and enjoy the masochistic delight of being beat up by who they consider to be their betters. I call them RINOs.

Always fearful of being rejected by others, these RINOs cave in to the Democrats, approve of all excutative dictatorial usurptions of power by the White House Occupier of the day, and compromise-away their principles so as not to offend conservative Democrats, independents, and every damn minority that they can think of.

Thus, the RINO Party has become that mealy-mouthed, non-party: The Independents.

I would be highly suspect of ANY Committee-based platform plank that we will hear about in Tampa.

BTW, what is the differenced between a “watered-down” and a “hosed-down” Platform? ( Bring your hipboots, just to be safe.)

Thanks! Each of us has at least one idea of what the main problem is. Hopefully, my posts will create an environment where reasoned discussion is productive.

Posting on FR is okay for the moment, but I prefer to be involved in results.

Read, ponder and ping me with your answers to the three questions that I posed in comment # 2254 above. Thanks!

I agree. Conservatives have not only the RINO nominee to to be wary of we as well have to watch closely those who seek to water down the GOP platform -both RINOs and Libertarians alike are intent on doing this.

1.) What is the problem?

K

435 elected representatives who value their feathered nest and power more than the continuation of the greatest experiment ever undertaken.

A president who in fact is a foreign national, bent on destruction of the aforementioned experiment, seen as a threat to the very foundation of his and his ancestors' existence.

A growing cancer on state houses filled with persons of ill repute who see no problem in bartering away the treasures of the citizens for a few votes designed to keep them in power.

A national media, populated with dyed in the wool socialists who think the only reason it has failed everywhere is due to insufficient money to carry out the plan. This time they will prevail.

Avowed, documented treasonous bastards actually sitting on the bench on the United States Supreme Court.

Finally, a voting public who thinks debate, and an election, will solve the stranglehold that is in place on the ship as it continues it's death spiral.

Wellllll

Before it falls through the cracks . . . I’ll take a stab at it . . .

Introduction:

Now are getting somewhere in our spirited discussion!

We are not here to please everybody!

If we can define who we are not, then we are at liberty to focus on the problems to be solved.

1.) What is the problem? [One problem at a time, please].

2.) Who owns the problem?

3.) What would Jesus do to solve the problem?

Discussion:
...

HERE WE GO!

Please answer the following question:

1.) What is the problem?

SIN.

REBELLION AGAINST GOD

Idolizing man and man’s rebellious ways as right, good . . .

calling evil good and good evil.

satanic globalism has been in more or less charge of the institutions of our planet for at least decades cultivating such rebellion and calling of evil good and good evil.

etc. etc.

We can pussy foot around about secondary evidence and consequences but the root is there.

And, therefore . . . individual spiritual and collective spiritual strategies, imho, MUST be first and foremost unless we just want to sit around in mental masturbation groups pretending that’s going to get anywhere.

The evidence on the abortion front is reasonably clear.

All the marches and speeches in the Nation have been a drop in the bucket in effectiveness compared to the fasting and prayer efforts of CHRISTIANS ACROSS DENOMINATIONAL BOUNDARIES MEETING AND FASTING AND PRAYING TOGETHER ON THE PROBLEM.

THAT kind of strategy has resulted in abortion clinics being closed and their owners falling over dead—sometimes within a week or so of the beginning of the prayer project.

We have a compulsive human tendency to put our hand out to steady the Ark on the ox cart.

i.e. WE WILL DO IT WILLFULLY, STUBBORNLY HUMANLY IN THE FLESH FIRST AND FOREMOST.

And death results whether instantly or over a period of time.

We have to take up our crosses, die daily and SEEK GOD’S FACE IN EVERY SITUATION MOMENT BY MOMENT.

NO OTHER SOLUTION is a REAL solution.

All other ‘solutions’ are white-wash or worse.

Wellllllll . . . that’s as good as I can do at the moment.

Thanks for asking.

Now we’ll have the harpies whine about this not being in the Religion Forum.

Sigh.

Just as a mere question, and nothing else,

Why does the Lord smoke cigars and allow Billy Jeff indulge himself for eight years, and Obama for 4, without righteous zotting taking place.

For that matter, why the other cheek, if you will, while all kinds of major mass murders against his very creation take place for the last few thousand (that we are aware of)years have taken place?

Just wondering.

Jim Robinson: ” - - - We do not support lying liberal/progressive/statists, regardless of party affiliation.”

from Graewoulf:

” - - - STAND FOR SOMETHING.”

IMHO that is what we do NOT do on FR. What we do is what the Liberal Agenda Media, (LAM), does: we try to choose what politician best represents our views.

The LAM has chosen Obama and says that we should choose Romney.

The Primary voters that have taken the trouble to vote, ( 20 to 30 % of the Republican voter pool, by State), have yet to give a landslide vote for anybody.

What we are doing is doing EXACTLY what the LAM and the Democrat Party want us to do: 1.) ignore the problems in The US Federal Government, 2.) have heated discussions about which looser candidate is the most representative of our own personal views.

NOBODY IS CONCERNED ABOUT THE MAIN PROBLEM!

Thus, this summer we will see Obama and Obamalite shout out the favorite smocksreens of the LAM. The first is their main favorite smokescreen of “Jobs, Jobs, Jobs.”

The second smokescreen is “Stimulate the Economy.”

Since small businesses create most of the jobs in America, smokescreen # 1 is invalid by inspection. Governments do not create jobs, they destroy them.

For those who want to solve the main problem, post # 2254 is for you.

My impression last night was that we at FR have lost focus on identifying the main problem - - -

If we can define who we are not, then we are at liberty to focus on the problems to be solved.

1.) What is the problem?

2.) Who owns the problem?

3.) What would Jesus do to solve the problem?

I agree, sin is the problem. A Republic only works with a moral people.

Now, while none are without sin, some seem to have a lot more (ongoing) practice than others, and do so while violating solemn oaths and the public trust.

So, should we pick the 'outstanding sinner of the week' and pray for them to quit and renounce their sin and love Jesus or drop dead within seven days? Or maybe just have God lift their responsibilities from them (instead of dropping dead). (The psychological ramifications of knowing there were millions of people praying for your conversion, loss of power and wealth, or natural demise would be something else, so this is a semi-serious question.)

Multiple projects?

I'm not goofing off, here, and seriously wonder what God would think of such a project.

After all, (and this is the source of true freedom), whatever happens here is only temporary. It might, on occasion be miserable, but eternity is more permanent and I'd prefer to stay in God's good Graces as much as humanly possible.

If Mitt is the candidate I’m writing in and voting down ticket. The GOPe have gotten us to this point knowing that whatever candidate they put up the masses will “vote for the lesser of two evils” just like good sheep following an evil master. The “he’s not as bad as the other guy” mentality has to stop. If conservatives don’t once and for all understand that if they don’t stand they fall it’s over anyway. The “lesser of two evils” mentality has led to the slow decline of this nation and I won’t participate any longer.

I have found a viable prayer is to pray something like:

Dear Lord, Please bring ___________ to a place of confession, repentance and a lasting Salvation Relationship with you, by your Spirit in the Blood of Jesus.

Lord, *IF* IN YOUR OMNISCIENT FORE-KNOWING WISDOM, you KNOW _______ will never repent or come to a saving knowledge of Christ, THEN, Please, Lord,

IN YOUR WISDOM AND ACCORDING TO YOUR PRIORITIES AND WILL, cause ___________’s poison and destructiveness to be neutralized in whatever way would most benefit your Kingdom. If at all in your Will, at least, please remove them from all power and position that could be used to harm your Church and other innocents. In Jesus’ Name.

Here's a review on Amazon mentioning a 1995 collaboration with Toffler (book was published March 1995):

When I was in my early 20s I read a book called 'The Third Wave' by Alvin Toffler. It completely changed my life. It made clear the things I felt happening in the world and explained them in a way I still carry with me today. I became a Toffler devotee and read everyone of his 1000+ page books. Then in 1995 he wrote a small 200 word book with Newt Gingrich about the future of politics. It was the worse piece of crap I had ever read. It made no sense. It's ideas were vapid and muddled. Someone recently said that Newt is "a stupid guys idea of what a smart person sounds like." I completely agree. Knowledge without ethics, empathy or vision does not make you smart. It makes you dangerous.

Here's a great article by Chuck Colson I ran into along the way:

http://townhall.com/tipsheet/greghengler/2012/04/23/chuck_colson_19312012

I spoke to between three and four hundred excited inmates jammed in the chapel that morning, many apparently serious believers. Five minutes into my talk I asked them the question that had struck me that morning, "Okay, now, you fellows that are in here, you are the experts. Why is it that we as a nation are filling so many prisons?"

Dozens among the guys sitting there in their blue denim uniforms began shouting out, "Sin!" The word became a ringing chorus. "Sin!" I was stunned. I can't imagine any other audience where, if I asked that question, I would get that answer. These men had lived it though. They know the truth. (p. 75, The Faith)

...

Utopianism is one of the most pervasive myths of our age. It lies at the heart of the great "isms" of the twentieth century, from National Socialism to Marxism. Utopianism denies the biblical doctrine of sin by defining the human dilemma not as moral rebellion against God but as ignorance, poverty, or oppression. The answer, then, is simply better education, income redistribution, or political reforms.

The promise is that if we reform unjust social structures, natural human goodness will flourish. (p. 335)

.

Here's a Christianity Today article on his Baptism as a ?liberal? Baptist:

http://blog.christianitytoday.com/ctpolitics/2009/03/gingrich_to_con.html

He evidently remains a member of the CFR.

I have been unable to find any repentance and refutation of his globalist values and goals since any purported conversion.

He evidently became an RC in 2009 to join his 3rd wife--a former Capital Hill staffer, in her religion.

He was Southern Regional Director for globalist Nelson Rockefeller in 1968.

From his Wiki article:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newt_Gingrich

"Gingrich has also been an advocate for health information technology. In 2005, together with Hillary Rodham Clinton he announced the proposal of the 21st Century Health Information Act, a bill which aimed to replace paperwork with confidential, electronic health information networks."

. . .

In 2005 he became the co-chair of a task force for UN reform, which aimed to produce a plan for the U.S. to help strengthen the UN.

. . .

Religion

Gingrich was raised a Lutheran.[185] In graduate school he was a Southern Baptist. He converted to Catholicism, Bisek's faith, on March 29, 2009.[186][187] He said "over the course of several years, I gradually became Catholic and then decided one day to accept the faith I had already come to embrace." The moment when he decided to officially become a Catholic was when he saw Pope Benedict XVI on his visit to the United States in 2008: "Catching a glimpse of Pope Benedict that day, I was struck by the happiness and peacefulness he exuded. The joyful and radiating presence of the Holy Father was a moment of confirmation about the many things I had been thinking and experiencing for several years."[188] Gingrich has stated that he has developed a greater appreciation for the role of faith in public life following his conversion, and believes that the United States has become too secular. At a 2011 appearance in Columbus, Ohio, he said, "In America, religious belief is being challenged by a cultural elite trying to create a secularized America, in which God is driven out of public life."[111]

.

Below from:

http://articles.latimes.com/2011/mar/03/nation/la-na-newt-gingrich-20110303

Gingrich's moves are meant to allay concerns among influential religious conservatives that his personal history is at odds with their views. In 2007, he admitted during a radio interview with Focus on the Family founder James Dobson that he had been having an extramarital affair with his present wife as he was excoriating President Clinton for lying to a grand jury about his dalliance with a White House intern. As Richard Land, president of the Southern Baptist Convention's Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, put it, Gingrich has "one ex-spouse too many for most evangelicals."

But as the former speaker moves closer to a potential White House bid, with more details expected Thursday, his wooing of the evangelical community appears to be paying off.

...

Gingrich, who was raised Lutheran and became a Southern Baptist when he entered Georgia politics, was not known for a focus on religious issues during his 20 years in Congress. But friends and Gingrich himself said his conversion two years ago to the Roman Catholic faith of his third wife, Callista, convinced him of the nation's need for spiritual renewal.

.

From the Washington Post: What Kind of [Roman] Catholic is Newt Gingrich?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/on-faith/post/what-kind-of-catholic-is-newt-gingrich/2011/12/14/gIQAvKC2tO_blog.html

In summary . . . I find nothing that utterly convinces me of the authenticity of his 'conversion,' at a heart level to a thorough going loyalty to Jesus The Christ.

He has a life long history of decisions and actions convenient to his goals, preferences and predilections at the time.

I have learned of absolutely not the faintest hint of his renouncing his secret society and globalist values, allegiances and goals.

At this point, I'll continue to be wary and skeptical. If and when he becomes more convincing about his relationship with Jesus--PRAISE GOD, I'LL BE HAPPY TO CHEER HIM ON.

At this point, my best guess is that his loyalty to his secret society brothers and to globalism still ranks higher than his loyalty to Jesus--which would likely mean that from Jesus' standpoint, Newt is not at all sold out to Jesus sufficiently to warrant the label "Christian." One cannot serve 2 masters--satan and Jesus. And globalists do NOT serve Jesus The Christ as Lord and Savior.

I've felt schizophrenic over Newt. On the one hand he articulates my feelings on 99% of the issues. I like his determined stances and his obvious intellectual grasp of the issues. On the other hand, he is part of the CFR and has stated that US sovereignty must dwindle.

(Was Newt floated JUST to pander to CONSERVATIVES and to fragment the GOP and disenfranchise true conservatives (and even moderates)?)
