Im not Morman, nor do I want to be, but I know the morman canneries do far more to help the poor, than many of the so-called Food Kitchens and federal programs do
What utter BS. If you think you can back that up, post some sources for the statement. FYI, members are told many times when applying for aid to contact the government agencies first.
did you know that religious charitieds that provide aid to only their own denomination or whatever are not covered by the contraceptive mandate? This usually means Muslim charities.
Yes, that cretin. Not the other one.
Paying taxes to the welfare state is not charity either. It is taken from you by force of law.
Bill Mahrer is a douchebag libertarian who votes socialist.
Those mormon boys are not offering help, they are telling Christians they are abominations and only lds are the true church.
Source for your claim.
I have mormon family and friends and they will tell you very little of their food storage goes to anyone but mornons and they are required to pay it back.
If your are required to pay it back, it is not charity.
No fan fair hahahahah SLC lds have on of the biggest PR machines in the country.
"Latter-day Saint Charities, sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is an application of this admonition of Jesus Christ to help others in need. We have sponsored relief and development projects in 167 countries. This assistance is rendered without regard to race, religious affiliation, or nationality and is based on the core principles of personal responsibility, community support, selfreliance, and sustainability.
Unique in its support structure, Latter-day Saint Charities has access to the resources of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which include food production and processing, grain storage, vocational rehabilitation, donated used clothing, and employment and social services. Largely run with volunteer labor, Latter-day Saint Charities operates both independently and in cooperation with other charitable organizations and governments. Last year, over one million mandays of labor were contributed by volunteers in support of welfare initiatives.
Latter-day Saint Charities provides emergency relief assistance in times of natural disasters. In addition, our primary community development programs include clean water, neonatal resuscitation training, vision care, wheelchairs, immunizations, food production, and other health programs.
The assistance we render is made possible by generous donations of cash and inkind materials from members and friends of the LDS Church."
And no, I am not a Mormon.
Why bother with Maher?
Bill Maher knows his raison d'être in the media.. preposterous and perverted statements that express the "compassionate" Left's hatred for others (so they don't have to do it); otherwise he's out of a job. He has no talent.
What utter BS. If you think you can back that up, post some sources for the statement. FYI, members are told many times when applying for aid to contact the government agencies first
Can you back that up?
I’m waiting.
Can you refute it?
Waiting.
What's wrong with this statement? -
"He gives to his cult."
That's actually spot-on. Come on, Maher so seldom gets anything right, you got to give him credit when he finally does.
Maybe waiting
And he ‘gives’ that because he must in order to keep his raod clear to LDS godhood. But I will say that I have experience with the young men who go on the two year missions. Every team that has ever knocked on my door in the past thrity years has offered to help with tasks they always catch me in the middle of. Sadly, these deluded young men grow up to be Romneys all too often.
Bill Maher gleefully works for the spiritual opposition ...
Mind reading again?
Go ahead a wait.
tooot a looo
I drove people a round this morning. None of them were members of the LDS Church. BTW I would never asked them to pay me back. If i needed a ride some time I may ask them, but not to pay me back. I don't know how your relatives or friends would react to someone asking for a ride.
I stopped at TocoBell for lunch a man tapped on my window in the parking lot and said he was hungry.
I shared my lunch with him. I didn't need three Tocos anyway.
I don't know your relatives or friends so I can not refute what they would do.
Thought so.
Yea, that’s all good, just like the rest of us.
But hey you already knew we were talking about the lds corporation not individuals.
