HHS Sebelius Forced to Admit Total Constitutional Ignorance of Health Mandate Legal Issues

Get me outta here! I'm being forced in a most humiliating manner to reveal to all the world my profound ignorance of basic constitutional issues.

Something like that thought must have been rolling around inside the mind of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius while she completely choked under questioning about these legal issues by South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy. Even if you disagree profoundly with Sebelius you almost have to feel embarrassed by her pathetic performance last week at the House Education and Workforce Committee hearing. Fortunately for Sebelius her confessions of ignorance were completely ignored by the Mainstream Media but the video (and below the fold) lives on for all eternity to serve as a testament to liberal ignorance and arrogance.

I discovered my favorite Supreme Court case: Church of Lukumi Babalu Aye v. Hialeah. Just for the name.

The few times I’ve seen coverage of Trey Gowdy from SC, he is a quite likeable Congress Critter.

Not sure. But I had looked him up one day since I knew a kid named Trey that would be about his age back when I was a kid and lived in SC.

She needed to be taken down a few pegs for her haughty attitude on the contraception attitude.
I would like to see Pelosi in that same chair explaining her grasp of the constitution on Obamacare.

This is interesting and satisfying, and the Sebelius skank gets a well-deserved grilling, but it will not make any difference anywhere.

About at 4:35...

Sebelius “...I defer to our lawyers to give me good advice on the Constitution....”

Gowdy “Is there a legal memo you’ve relied on?”

Sebelius “I relied on discussions”.

Thanks PJ,

I am sending Sebelius’ testimony to my liberal family.

God bless the Congressman.

Isn’t she a socialist from Canada where a constitution protecting religious freedom and other freedoms in the Bill of Rights, do not exist?

She’s a foreigner! She knows nothing of the constitutional restrictions on her power. She’s not loyal to that “rebellion” stuff that came with our founding. They stuck with the King in Canada.

Sebelius “...I defer to our lawyers to give me good advice on the Constitution....”

That is like the Democrat's Keynesian Economist giving them advice on the Stimulus bill.

And why wasn't the complete legislation written before it was voted on in Congress?

Trey Gowdy is more than “quite likable”, he should have been our nominee, if brains, conservatism and a record of conservative accomplishment means anything.

Oh. Er.... we had that in Newt. Nevermind.

I dig, for the reason.

It’s actually an ironic and funny citation.

Bookmarked for the future descendants of my small grandchildren to read.

This is an excellent example of how arrogantly corrupt the Liberal Left has descended in America.

May God save America from the despicable arrogant Left before my own Grandchildren read this.

Scary when you realize that so many provisions of this so-called Healthcare law are to be determined “as the Secretary may direct.”

Instead of relying on “discussions,” how about basing your judgment on an informed reading of the Constitution...

This is all planned. The regime is setting her up to be the next SCOTUS appointee. Clearly, this pronouncement is all the qualifications she needs to be up next...
