To paraphrase President Obama, if I had a son who had been flat on the ground in a vicious fight, the back of his head would look like that of accused murderer George Zimmerman.
Thanks to a photograph broadcast by ABC News showing Zimmermans bloody head wounds, those trying to use Trayvon Martins death to challenge stand your ground self-defense laws had better start exploiting some other tragedy. For the picture demonstrates that Zimmerman was unable to retreat, since he was pinned to the ground taking a beating when he shot Martin. And note that one of the depicted wounds is long and straight, consistent with Zimmermans claim that Martin was pounding his head against an edged curbstone at the time of the fatal shot.
We dont have all the facts, but there are things we do know.
For instance, the police radio tape proves that Zimmerman was describing his actions to the police as he allegedly stalked his victim. Doesnt that undercut the murder charges? What kind of criminal calls 911 to tell the police he is hunting down his intended prey?
On the tape, Zimmerman not only advises he is following Martin, but he also asks for confirmation that a police officer is being dispatched to investigate. The dispatcher replies that Zimmerman doesnt need to follow Martin, to which Zimmerman promptly responds OK and agrees, instead, to rendezvous with the en-route police officer.
Again, what kind of murderer, preparing for the kill, invites the police to interrupt his scheme? Moreover, doesnt this conversation support Zimmermans claim that he had ceased his pursuit prior to the confrontation with Martin?
We also know that, after shooting Martin, Zimmerman waited for the police to arrive and cooperated fully with their investigation, even as emergency medical personnel treated his head wounds. Wouldnt someone who had just committed a heinous hate crime potentially punishable by death or life imprisonment have fled the scene or, at least, requested legal counsel and refused to answer questions?
Zimmerman and Martin fought on the ground, and the fight ended when Zimmerman pulled the trigger. But at Zimmermans bail hearing, a prosecution detective, who had sworn out the arrest warrant, testified that he couldnt say who had started the fight.
If this case goes to trial, the prosecution will need a better answer than that if it hopes to prove Zimmerman was the aggressor. And shouldnt that key issue have been resolved before bringing murder charges against an obviously injured person claiming that he acted in self-defense?
While much evidence remains to be disclosed, what we have learned so far raises serious questions about the strength, rationale, and integrity of the prosecutions case. These questions are all the more troubling given the tsunami of manufactured racist hysteria that clearly influenced the decision to arrest white Hispanic George Zimmerman.

Why didn't Trayvon’s girlfriend call 911?
She has claimed that Trayvon was frightened and was running away from Zimm.
She claims she heard the fight start, then Trayvon’s phone disconnected.
She claims she called Trayvon back several times and got no answer.
But so far, NO publicly released evidence that she tried to call 911 or Trayvon’s parents AFTER all this happened.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it wasn't a 911 call.
Mr. Zimmerman was talking to the police DISPATCHER.
She wasn't his 'girlfriend', he was a "best friend" not a boyfriend.
She is the girlfriend of another chap, Deion Lewis.

In which case, the cell phone records will show the disconnect time as just after the start of the fight. And she better hope all that is consistent with the 911 timeline.
Too bad the media made up their own version of the facts.
Anyone who believes the truth, will be seen as a racist since we all know that everything we hear on TV must be “true.”
Remember, we haven’t heard from “the girlfriend” on the pone directly.
After reading the info on “DeeDee” linked above, I bet we never will.
Crump seems to have been very creative in making sure that there was pressure for an arrest. He needs an arrest and a trail to launch a civil suit, not a conviction.
When Zimmerman is acquitted, and Obama doesn't come out two seconds later with a pre-written telepropter speech calling for the Nation to be calm, calm down, tell the race-baiters to stfu, and challenge the black community to not respond - which of course he won't do - then when the riots occur, people die, and billions of property damage occurs - it can all be laid at the feet of Obama and the bill sent to Obama, and poof, there goes the election.
Hey David, chew on that one for awhile. .
I’m very surprised the editors allowed this story to run in the Inquirer.
It is also my understanding that the scuffle took place near Zimmermans truck, which would confirm that Zimmerman had returned to his vehicle and that Travon was the aggressor. Nothing about the confirmed sequence of events seems to contradict Zimmerman’s original story.
You're correct. George Zimmerman called the non-emergency number for the Sanford police, not 911. The City of Sanford made that clear in its FAQ letter, and the State of Florida makes that clear in the charging affidavit for the second-degree murder charges.
The media hasn't caught on to that yet. or don't want to catch on.
It's your executive recruiter, Mr. Axelrod. They might be able to find you another job in January...
No, he couldn’t find the piece of paper his daddy gave him with directions to call 9-1-1
A MSM newspaper telling the truth? OMG, the world must be ending...
>>>wow- you never heard Zimmermans response to the dispatcher ANYWHERE....<<<
Hannity played the entire tape, unedited. It was clear as day.
