did some target practice in my backyard with it...My wife yells out the back door..the damn dog just peed all over the floor... so I guess I need to take it to the range,,,
Lol! Poor Poochie!
Blackdog mags work fine in it, too. I set the original CMMG up with a string pull on the side, to help loading. Blackdog has a better way with a top loading assist.
Oh I imagine they are out there.
I used a Bushmaster Carbon upper receiver and a Model 1 Sales .22LR M4 profile barrel. Got the adapter part for the Ceiner unit (a collar that slips over the breech end of the rimfire barrel, which snaps in place of the chamber insert) from Spike's Tactical.
Well, I think local is probably better.
I hate behemoth banks
When I went in to fill out the transfer paperwork I asked to look at an AR10. He didn’t have one so he showed me a SCAR 17. WTF! $3350 stripped? GTFO! And when I looked at their website it says only for LEOs and military? Is that true?
I look forward to the range report.
I’m Jealous. I can’t even afford to shoot .45 ACP anymore.
I bet it shoots sweet.
45 ACP isnt that snappy. It tends to roll on recoil.
1911s are so sweet to shoot
Thats gonna be a problem.
LOL
I think he’s blowin smoke up yer ass.
Get the AR10 or the FN/FAL
$3350? GTFO!
I appreciate that insight.
Thats 3 thumbs up for Blackdog Machine.
Thanks for the input.
Yes, the AR15 22 conversions are going to be less accurate. Its a 22 down a 223 pipe
Are these banned in Merryland?
I forgot the Cetme, HK G3, PTR 91, VEPR and even the lowly Saiga .308
3K + is insane.
Very interesting list of banned weapons.
I’ve never heard of or seen half of them.
It was listed on SCAR’s website “only for LEO and military”.
If Meryland doesn’t ban them I don’t know what. I’ll ask next weekend.
All Hi caps with detachable mags
I wish I had bought one of those Daewoos when they were like $400
Can you hunt deer with those?
I noticed that too.
Also a lot of folders on the list.
Those evil folding stocks are deadly you know.
What’s next? The new Ruger 10/22 take down?
Common sense has completely escaped those folks.
I don’t know about merryland but You can if you comply with insane magazine restrictions
Here in Texas you can use them from the air to kill feral hogs with no hunting license
Any .308 would work well to take deer
And does #15 ban all AR15’s?
Because Colt fan boys will be upset if mine are considered Colt imitations. They will be very upset for sure.
Pistol grips are what make guns menacing LOL
I sent one to the state house in Maine and therealMrB “brandished” it to make the point that its ridiculous
The VEPR and Saiga .308s are built specifically for hunting even though they are based on military platforms
The Valmet too.
They took off the evil pistol grips and limited the mag capacity to ease the publics worried brow.
It looks like only the HBAR version is legal?
I am kicking myself for not buying a 1919 with tripod for $850
Its so worhthless as a semi auto but Its just cooland I coulda darn near doubled my money.

Thanks for finding that list. It’s very insightful.
And yeah, I guess the HBAR is the only legal version.
Sh** I coulda quadrupled my money
For our subcompact 9MM shootoff, we chose the Ruger LC9 and Kahr PM9, along with the Springfield EMP, Kimber Solo and SIG P290. While the EMP and PM9 have been around for several years, the other three are new on the market.
Just entered the contest at the last minute for the 10/22.
Sure would like to get that Baby Eagle we signed up for a few weeks ago.
That’s the one! The bolt cycles the entire length.
I think I want it now. Why the SCAR web page says they are restricted is weird.

“... so I guess I need to take it to the range,,,”
The dog or the gun? :)
I have improvised a ‘range’ in my secluded front yard, about 500 feet off the road, with a high bank (hill) as a backstop. We have horses and cats, but no dog. The horses are not gun-shy and the cats stay out of target range.
Neighbors do not complain...we have a muzzle-loaders club and range a quarter mile away, so the sound of gun fire is not new around here. We also have neighbors sometimes going after varmints...mostly groundhogs...not nice things to have in pasture areas!
From what I’ve read, they mainly just don’t like the cheaper ammo and lighter 115gr bullets.
good luck
Wish the article made recommendations not just list features. Good article though. Pretty much looked at them all before I made my decision.
I went with the SOLO because it had an ambidextrous thumb safety AND, which I didn’t see in the article an ambidextrous mag release. Since I just started shooting left handed it was annoying having to switch hands on my Glocks to release the mag.
For that price they better not dislike ANYTHING!
Gnight gang!
Have a great week.
Metal mag can be cranky. Mine sometimes needs to be tugged to the rear during use for reliable reloading. Using a different plastic mag seems to feed better.
I think they were anticipating that the military would buy a bunch of them, but I think the Army recently decided to stick with the M4 for the foreseeable future. I think the Ranger units got SCARs but don’t know if anyone else did.
polymer mags hold their shape better
Hummm maybe both... The dog has never been bothered by gun fire before. We shoot skeet in my yard also along with various hand guns.
I have to think this hand canon was just a bit to much for him. This S&W 500 makes my 44mag look like a BB gun..
My XD 45 ACP with Federal HydraShok makes a lot of bang for the buck, as does my 12 ga with “00” Buckshot. Not even close though to your S&W 500. S&W claim it to be “the most powerful production revolver in the world today”. Enjoy it!
Thanks I will..though $50 box of 20 rounds. I will be doing selective shooting .. The gun it self is not that much, they run about $1100 to $1500
Yes, understand that...my 45 ACP Hydra-Shoks are a relative bargin at the last price I paid about a month ago, 50 rds for $25...that is somewhat less that most posted prices, btw...4 times that is not uncommon.
