At least the country was free then, and it's still mostly-free now despite the intentions of the Obamanation. But not so coincidentally, Communist influence was strong back then, too, and people had a great deal of unease, living under the shadow of The Bomb. Which is starting to return, courtesy of Obozo's (deliberate) mishandling of the Iranians, and Clinton's treasonous dealings with the Chinese.
it’s funny you should say that; whenever we go “food” shopping, my husband and I talk about what we used to eat as kids-and that’s how we ended up with the tv dinners.
We both grew up poor and a tv dinner was a treat back then!
But for us now, it’s a way to have something that resembles meat-Sailsbury Steak-as we cannot afford to eat beef every week.(I really don’t want to know what it’s made of today)
And PB&J never let me down-ate it everyday as a kid.
But you’re right; my husband and I have returned to our roots, so it is a little easier to deal with.
