Mormon Bishop Mitt Romney’s Anti-Christian Religion

Many naive Americans believe that Mormonism is merely another branch of protestant Christianity. Well that’s not what the founders and leaders of Mormonism believed.

According to its founder, Joseph Smith, and Brigham Young, Smith’s successor, Mormons are the only true people of God on the earth. All non-Mormons and their religions are “wrong, an abomination, blind, damned, of the devil, whores, not Christians, groveling in darkness, heathens, ignorant, devoid of fact, pagan and hatched in Hell.”

When Romney made a speech about his religion in 2008 he refused to distance himself from his faith and fully affirmed his Mormonism. Responding to critics, Romney said,

"They would prefer it if I would simply distance myself from my religion, say that it is more a tradition than my personal conviction, or disavow one or another of its precepts. That I will not do. I believe in my Mormon faith and I endeavor to live by it. My faith is the faith of my fathers - I will be true to them and to my beliefs."

Romney, the father of homosexual marriage in America and abortion funding Romney Care in Massachusetts, flip-flops on virtually every issue, but he is adamant about his anti-Christian Mormonism. Romney needs the vote of Christians to win election, but he refuses to “disavow one or another of its precepts.”

Nor can anyone think Romney is merely a casual or cultural Mormon who just happened to be born Mormon. He is an active Bishop in the Mormon church hierarchy. He cannot pretend to be ignorant of the teaching of Joseph Smith and the other “prophets” of Mormonism.

Below is a list of quotes from Mormon leaders and official publications starting with Joseph Smith down to our day. The message is consistent and clear.

But if God has judged this nation, and will punish us by inflicting another four years of Obama on us (which would be the death-stroke of our nation under God), then there's nothing more for me to do, and I might just as well curl up and die and await my judgment on Judgment Day.

Did you even consider that God sent Obama not only as a judgment against the United States, but to draw us closer to Him?

Does a nation that has willingly slaughtered 50 million babies have a right to complain when a tyrant like Obama is foisted upon them?

We as a nation need to repent and turn back to God. That would not include those of us who recognize the evil that our nation has wrought, but we need to convince everyone who doesn't recognize that holocaust to repent and to turn back to the God who granted us this great nation and the Liberty which no other country on Earth ever possessed.

If we as Christians choose to fear Obama more than God and compromise our principles merely out of fear, then we deserve the government we get.

The most important part of that "Loving your Neighbor" required by God, is to warn your neighbor when they are caught in error or sin and are headed to hell.

And thus spake Ezekiel:

“So you, son of man, I have made a watchman for the house of Israel; whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them warning from me.
“If I say to the wicked, O wicked man, you shall surely die; and you do not speak to warn the wicked to turn from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand.
“But if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way; he shall die in his iniquity, but you will have saved your soul.”

I am sure that Ezekiel is totally right about this.

And yet, if you apply this standard to a presidential election, I feel pretty sure that whoever the nominee is, Ezekiel would have a serious problem with him. For by Ezekeiel's just standard, all are wicked. (After all, we bear original sin from Adam.)

And I suspect that you yourself are no Ezekiel, who unlike you (in all probability) is divinely entitled in righteousness and justice to say such things....

Meanwhile, we have a sitting president who laughs at, utterly scorns all matters that were of of concern to Ezekiel.

And you, in your doctrinal purity, will help him to serve another four years in office. You are a tool of God's vengeance on the faithlessness of America.

In the process, you help to destroy what remains of the most "Godly" nation on earth by giving Obama four more years (at least....).

In the end, it looks like you are more worried about the spiritual condition of your own butt than the survival of the United States as a going concern, "under God." Thanks alot.

Anyhoot, I believe judging my neighbor is 'way above my pay grade, thank you very much. God ONLY judges us.

It appears then, that a large part of the bible is engaging in false teaching; namely, the example of the following Scripture:

Romans 15:4
For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

Romans 16:17
   I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.

For this reason I am sending to you Timothy, my son whom I love, who is faithful in the Lord. He will remind you of my way of life in Christ Jesus, which agrees with what I teach everywhere in every church.

Which is why I think religious toleration is the best path.

Just what would you like to ‘see’?

What God wants me to do. That I might do it, granted His Light and Grace.

Quite a few posts back, I said that I always preferred to argue with atheists and Darwinists, rather than argue with Christians.

It's interesting to me, but both camps seem to share a common feature: Both are relentless doctrinalists.

Which is to say that: The written word of their respective doctrine is absolute and final.

In the case of atheists and Darwinists, I would say their "written word" is incomplete.

But the harrowing fact about some Christians is that their regard for the written word as completely "complete."

That is, if you understand the doctrine, it will save you. Just believe in it; you don't have to do anything else to be saved.

My problem is, any form of written language always refers to something greater than itself. It cannot be an "end in itself" in principle; its function is to point to a higher, greater Truth, of which the written word is but a declension.

But it seems so many Christians nowadays think that the mastery of the written word as an end-in-itself is what saves.

I do not believe this. Indeed, there is a word that describes this attitude: bibliolatry.

Bibliolatry substitutes the Holy Bible for God Himself, and His Living Word.

The Holy Scriptures cannot be a "reduction" of God, or a God substitute, in any way.

If we miss that point, then we cannot really hear the Word of God speaking actively in our souls.

It just means that we can read words, "flattened" according to our own level of comprehension.

It's a much less painful experience for me....
