Why the GOP is destined to Implode (vanity)
5/2/12 | me

Posted on 05/02/2012 10:16:56 AM PDT by Mozilla

It has become obvious that the GOP is a free fall mode now and destined to collapse due to the nomination of a Mitt Romney and due to the establishment's attacks on conservatives and the tea party.

People who can't take it any longer are trying to stand up to the party. A good way is to not vote for the hand picked nominee who they are ramming down our throats.

But the end is near because already we are seeing a demoralized base that is spilt and broken over the nomination of Mitt Romney.

The ABO crowd fails to see the gravity of the problem or understand how true conservbatives feel about voting for Romney.

The left is feeding off this division and trolling to get the division to continue and to get Romney to demoralize the base instead of them uniting against both Obama and Romney.

The same divisions that occurred in the primaries are continuing. As people are confused on what to do as their worst fears have come true. Obama vs. Romney is where we are at. America loses no matter who wins. A Romney presidency would be a disaster of epic proportions that would be as bad as a second Obama term.

I truly feel that Romney will work to end what is left of the tea party or co-opt it some more to where they become an arm of the GOP. And then he will work to pass romneycare nationally or by having states implement it on a state by state level.

The guy is a progressive who infiltrated the republican party. And as such I am glad we have this site to expose both Romney and Obama.

The other conservative sites out there seem to be in panic, confused mode. They can't let Obama win, but they know the base hates Romney too. But they don't go as far as this site has allowed us to attack Romney and the establishment.

They won't discuss the failure of the two party system and how the GOP is trying to lose the presidential election on puropse. They won't attack Karl Rove, Dick Morris and Sean Hannity, among others for hipocrisy and promotion of Romney and his lies.

They won't expose Fox News for the frauds they have become to some extent and the GOP talking points and orders by the RNC to promote Romney and only Romney thus killing off most voices who were vocally against Romney and the GOP establishment on the right. Such as Glenn Beck, Judge Andrew Napolitano, Joe Farah and so on.

They won't report on Sheriff Joe Arpaio's posse and their findings as well.

There is so much that is wrong and it is not the least funny. Therefore, I fear the GOP is closing in on a major collapse if they can't get a good and honest presidental candidate who will expose Obama and the Left and began to help fix the GOP from it evil ways.

So we are close to a meltdown. I am not exactly sure when it comes. One logical place would be if the GOP loses the presidential election and another would be if the infightining goes into the convention and yet another instance could be if more and more people start leaving the GOP and try to form a new party. I don't know.

Everything is on the table since the GOP has screwed this election cycle up royally. And they need to exposed.

So I thank this site for being able to expose the GOP for the fruads they have become. But i fear what I am seeing by reading the web, this site, posting and studying the situation is frankly the republican party collapse.

So who elected the Bishop in the primaries? Who cast the votes? The evil Establishment? Not the base? It is a series question.

Romney is a politician; he will follow a course of lease resistance.

Romney may be the one thing worse than a lawyer-politician. Romney is an MBA politician. He's arrogant and ruthless, he thinks he's brilliant, and he plays hardball. For interesting insight, do a study of the attack styles and arguments of core Romney supporters. I promise you, it stands alone in its ugliness and deceit. It speaks volumes about Romney -- a politician, as you say.

'The guy is a progressive who infiltrated the republican party.'

Your premise is wrong. The GOP is not conservative or a party for smaller Gov't. It has been decades sine they were.

The idea that Romney is a RINO is absurd. He is what the GOP are.

It is the problem of GOP voters who suffer the Battered person syndrome. No matter how bad the GOP treats them, they still come back. Throw in the scares of the other guy is worse, and you have their strategy.

Nice meaty post, worthy of a print-out. Thanks.

Voted Republican since 1980. Never considered myself a Republican. Gave support to individual Republican candidates and will continue to do so, but now only to Conservatives in word and deed.

Never gave money to the GOP so they won’t miss me in the future, except of course all the votes for RINOs I might have given unwittingly.

I’m not used to reading a FR post saying, “Everybody’s lying! Nobody’s honest except me and Joe Arpaio!” If I believed this, I’d agree that both the GOP and our republic are doomed. Maybe they are. Before Fort Sumpter, Lincoln opined that the anger in the nation was so high that “the only way out would be through” to one side or the other prevailing. Maybe his opinion was right then, and again now. I hope you’re wrong, and I hope that a new Lincoln will arrive. I’ll hope, and stand firm on real thin hope.

even if it's to Pat Paulsen, speaks and sways influence.

In hopelessly Blue states Romney should not get one vote, but he will because people have a delude notion that if they don't vote for a winner they have thrown their vote away.

This election is the best opportunity we will have to raise up a protest vote in those bluer than blue states, but we won't. I most assuredly will die in a free country, but my grandchildren will very likely lose their freedom and never be free again.

I know a lot of patriots deny this reality, but by the time this comes about, it will be a lot like skynet. Since I am not a libertarian I believe in the literal interpretation of the Bible, and this looks a lot like Revelation.

Yessss....Less will get done....

And less of the damage already suffered by America will be UNDONE.

Please don’t forget that Obama thinks that governing by Executice Order would be OK — maybe not Constitutional, but OK.

How many battalions does Congress control?

"Why don't you cut-and-paste an example of "cleverly-shaded half-truth" with regard to the case against Romney."

Because anyone who does this is thrown off the site as a pro-Romney advertiser.

I don't think so! I've read quite a bit on FR over the years, and figure if you keep it civil and refrain from shreiking at people and calling them "haters," but instead post links to documents negating outright lies about Romney, they might tolerate you for at least awhile.

It's easy for me to prove the Gay Youth Pride charge; it's public record. Can you prove somewhere that gosh, Romney never said he was pro-global warming! He doesn't like abortion! He never appointed a bunch of activist judges! (but that's public record, too) And he's really really SORRY about RomneyCare!

If you were for real, I'd think you'd post such powerful evidence to this site even if it risked getting zotted. I mean, it being proof and all.

Give us a break. We have thrown three Hail Mary’s with regularity; Dole, McCain and now Romney, who is progressively worse in both senses of the word—”progressive”.

A vote for Rommell is a vote for the template for the Marxist advances of Obama, against the economy and on religious liberty. Romney wrote the book.

Somehow that is suppose to be excused and made alright?

How many times do YOU have to bang your own head against a brick wall before you realize that the two parties have melled into one, ideologically?

Who sinks so low as to vote for a socialist nominee on the Republican ticket, and then tries to sell it as patriotism, on behalf of the country?

My country worth one last Hail Mary, my foot.

Caving to Romney enables socialism plain and simple. Who out there is willing to put lipstick on that pig of a deal, for the false belief that Rommell will bring them Peace and Safety?

Romney isn’t even pretending to attract conservatives. Never has.

There is no doubt that Romney's position on these and other issues important to conservatives is bad. It's terrible.

The issue to me is that Obama is far worse. Obama is imposing cap and trade by EPA fiat. He's appointing Marxist puppet judges. He's giving us single payer government mandated health care. He's forcing the Catholic church to pay for abortion pills for its employees. Romney's positions on these issues are simply not that extreme, in spite of what some write. With Obama, we will have $8 gasoline, no coal mines, paper mache' cars that will kill thousands annually, death panels, trillions in more deficits, and more. These will all happen by mandate, even with solid Republican majorities in the legislature. The most important issue to me in the 2012 election is to get rid of Obama.

Why did you include Jim and the moderator? Were you "telling on me"?

Is your country not worth one last Hail Mary?

Throwing a Hail Mary is damn difficult when you've already been sacked by your own team.

Sorry... I don’t do “cut and paste”.

But, even if — for the sake of argument — I accepted ALL of your “talking points” as facts, Romney would STILL be a better President than than the dog-eater.

That’s the essential fact to consider. I realize that some people prefer Obama to America;s freedoms. IMHO, that is a mutually exclusive choice.

I included them because it was a discussion of FR posting policy with regard to Romney, and I wanted to know if I was correct, or if indeed you'd be zotted if you posted any to prove that Romney's record was being misrepresented here.

Turns out calling your bluff proved spot-on. There are no "lies" and "carefully shaded half-truths" here about Romney; even you admit it. Nobody is stopping you here from posting how terrible Obama is on these positions.

But here's the thing: you aren't asking me to vote for Obama. You're asking me to vote for Romney. You're asking me to let panic lead me to make a deal with the devil, Romney, to avoid Obama.

A deal with the devil is ALWAYS a losing proposition.

BUT that can be controlled in the house and senate.

Never happened in my lifetime, and I doubt it ever will. Progressives like the courts the way they are. They carry out their agenda and they get to pretend to be conservatives. Note Jeb Bush bowed down to an old refurbed family court judge to let them kill Terry Schiavo.

Damn them all, and that included Open Borders GW and his New World Order papa.

But, even if — for the sake of argument — I accepted ALL of your “talking points” as facts ...

You're entitled to your own opinions, but not to your own facts. It is a FACT, well documented, that Romney has been A SUPPORTER/DOER of: global warming cap-and-trade regulation, on-demand subsidized abortion, activist liberal judicial picks, state-run health care, and support of the homosexual agenda.

"For the sake of argument" is your pretend comfort zone. These aren't "talking points" -- they are FACTS. Stubborn facts.

If you can't go to the trouble of what should be pretty basic cut-and-paste examples of lies told about Romney's record as posted here on FR, then you're all bluster.

It explains something: you'd never actually go to the trouble of examining and confirming whether claims are true. I didn't just automatically believe it when I saw Romney opposers here saying what Romney did in Massachusetts with Gay Youth Pride. I checked into it to see if it was true. I googled, I binged, I spent hours searching and reading. It wasn't the first time. Lies and false claims are made of all candidates. I've Googled, searched, and read the same with Palin, Newt, Santorum -- it's the kind of work you SHOULD do with claims whether they're in support or opposed to any candidate you're interested in, pro or con.

That you don't take the trouble to do these things explains why you're so blithely resigned to Romney, and so completely cowed to Obama the Omnipotent Oz.
